I recently purchased 737NGX. I updated everything on my machine except the video card. I am still running a GeForce 9800 GTX Black Edition 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 What would the best upgrade under $250 be ? I think a 460 would be twice as good, but I could be wrong. The recommended specs for a high end system on 737NGX page is the 560 ti. As best I can tell the main difference between the 460 and 560 is the 192bit vs 256bit DDR5 ram. Is the 192bit(460 models) WAY faster than my current 256bit DDR3 ? I can tell my 9800 is the bottleneck on my system and I want to fix that... I just don't want to blowup my bank account. Thanks !

Hey guys, I have already downloaded the NGX, but unfortunately I won't have the time to get in it to at least monday evening. However I've got the Saitek X52 Pro Flight Joystick without any pedals. As I'm almost flying big birds like MD-11 or the NGX (hopefully soon) I'm looking for a yoke instead of my joystik, perhaps also pedals.After I've been searching for "the right" one for two weeks or so, I haven't found it yet. I read a lot about the CH Eclipse and the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, I think they are the most popular ones, because they are the cheaper ones. I'm thinking of overclocking my CPU and would like to know what I have to have a look at befor I do it and what else is important.First of all, I must still get a new motherboard because my old one doesn't let me overclock my CPU. Which one would be best for an I5-760? I still need enough space on it for 8GB RAM (4X 2GB) my GTX 460 and my USB card.Secondly, what do you think how high I can get my CPU clock? I remember reading a post from Ryan a few months ago in which he said something about ORBX (he was actually answering a question from another forum user) and he mentioned that he could get any satellite image the ORBX guys asked him for (I'm sorry if I'm mistaken). In case I do remembe it correctly, could I ask you how do you do it Ryan? Because I'm starting a new scenery project, SBRJ, and I wondered where to get images better than Google Maps. Hey Guys, Please help! I used the Bojote FSX.cfg service, loaded up and flew a short PMDG 737NGx SAN-LAX flight, and then exited the sim via CTRL C. Now, whenever I try to get back in, the MS FSX Blue "load screen for lack of a better word" pops up, and then the mouse spins, but nothing happens! I highly doubt it was a PMDG issue, but a lot of smart peeps here! Anyone have any ideas? Any tools I can run for this? Thanks! K

Hi Ryan I just purchased the B744 for FS9, and installed the sound updates from PMDG site, and they are stunning, I am not sure who your sound engineers are, but they have done a excellent job of replicating the sounds and getting the correct balances. I am currently using PSS B777 from Justflight and its quite a good product, and just wondere if you had any sound files are similar quality like the B744, I know there are a some B777 sound files out there, but I feel they don't give an accurate representation of what you hear on the Flight Deck. Firstly , can anyone recommend best FSX enhanced scenery add ons for Europe. Secondly, even with max settings on traffic, there are many light aircraft and very few large jets. If I set the light aircraft traffic setting to zero, it doesn't increase the amount of large aircraft. How do I increase traffic? Do I need to buy a traffic add on and if so any recommendations. Thks

I don't like the aerosoft one very much, you have to have hardware throttles just to fly it, witch I personally think there should be an option. They lost my money on that one. Come on do a A320!

Does anyone offer FSX compatible business jets? Has the GV ever been developed say and if not would PMDG consider such a move? Lot been done with airliners, but a void in the market possibly.

hello everyone, I don't know if it's just me or not but still setting all the sliders to rights except traffic makes even the 2600k scream. As you can see my sig that I have a H67 board so I can't overclock, so no discussions regarding that. I just want to know that what slider settings most of you people find optimal for FSX, I can however play FSX with 30-40 FPS with everything right except autogen density, which I am yet forced to stick it to 'dense', if I increase it then frames drop to 10-15 fps. I am absolutely enjoying the PMDG 737NGX. You guys have forced me to ditch my FS2004 with a ton of payware addons and carefully crafted configuration for the new adventure of FSX. So lets say I am old hand in FS2004 but a total NOOB in FSX.I have carefully followed all the PMDG recomendation for setting FSX to work with NGX and I have to say this is a real jump in PC simulations. However I have some doubts about the appropiate damage configuration for the NGX and also for FSX.I do all my flights online in VATSIM, and I have dissabled the "Allow collisions with other aircraft" but in the sake of realism I would like to use the "Detect crashes and Damage" and "Aircraft Stre…

Hi guys, I'm planning a LAX-SYD flight, with a stop for fuel at HNL. Is there any way or method to make sure the logbook records the two flight separately? Sometimes I've noticed it working.. sometimes ending up with KLAX-(blank). Any ideas?Also, Is there a way to clear the ACARS times after landing? Thanks for help!

I have a question to ask all the experts out there. I have been watching a video of a 747 turnaround and it looks like the engines are turning at the gate. I always thought that the engines was shut down at the gate and the restarted on pushback. What would be the reason to have the engines turning at the gate?

I am an absolute beginner on PMDG & FSX, so I need some help!I've installed the PMDG 737 and 747 Queen of the Skies. In the manual it says 'when you press ALT in FSX you'll see a PMDG tag. When you click on this, you'll be able tochange settings. In my case, when I click on the PMDG tag I only get 'About PMDG'; when I click on that I see a lot of people who worked on PMDG, but nothing else. How do I get to the settings of PDMG??
