If I update my Airac Data for the NGX which has expired will it also update my Jetstream FMS??? Also how easy is it to run the update as I don't want to mess anything on my sim up. David

Edit: Apologies for double posting - this should have been in the NGX forum. Here is a more advanced example of how to use the NGX' flight management computer to fly SIDs and STARs, and how to transition between the different phases of flight. It takes you from Innsbruck to Moscow, and along the way you have to deal with metric flight levels and altitudes based on QFE. This worked example is in pdf format and can be downloaded from this location. I hope you enjoy it! Feedback is always welcome

IN the episode the pilots entered the wrong fuel weight into the FMC. The result aircraft ran out of fuel. I purchased the 737 NGX. Where the FMC enters the fuel weight for you. IS this real world? Can what happened to AC143 happen in real life? This accident was back in 1983 I am guessing there is more automation now happening in the Fuel tanks now. Are pilots still using paper advising them of what fuel was put into the aircraft from the ground crew. Than the pilots entering that weight into the FMC? T…

I'm waiting to upgrade to a new PC, and my current one cannot really handle FSX (and thus no PMDG 737NGX either).... I was wondering since the 737NGX has been out for a while now and most of the popular liveries (UA, AA, SWA, etc) are already available and now the paint kit comes out... has anyone set graphics to max out on a good PC and taken high res screenshots for the rest of us to enjoy as wallpaper? Maybe this was covered in another post, but I have not been able to find it anywhere. After a little over 3 weeks with no response from PMDG support, I am turning to this forum. I currently use FS9, and have purchased the 747-44 & F varients, and enjoy flying them. I noticed that the 737 variants for FS9 are no longer available on their order site. Any idea why they took those down? I have > 2,000 aircraft add-on downloads for FS9 and find it will not be worth my while to switch to FSX, so if there is somewhere I can purchase the 737 variants for FS9, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am not a particularly patient person. I followed the tutorial for the NGX, but to be honest I could neither be bothered nor have the patience to sit and read thousands of pages in the operating or Flight manual but I really love flying in the NGX. I start my flights in an airport, sometimes I go through a checklist while other times I just click things by memory. I enter my route, take off, click buttons when I need to, land then click a few more buttons. It's just the way I like doing it. I'm looking for advanced ATC programs; the default FSX ATC is perfectly fine (sort of) when flying default planes, but when flying planes of PMDG-standard, there's this incredible, and very annoying difference in realism.I should add that VoxATC is not possible for me; I haven't got a headset/microphone and am not planning on buying one(sorry for being so stubborn:-p)Thanks in advance,

HEy folks I was going to request some fictional repaints from our talented repainters. Anyone remember CP Air? Beautiful orange red silver scheme birds. Anyway, they operated 747s, DC-10s, and 737s, I was wondering if anyone was willing to adapt this scheme to the equivilent PMDG fleet. CHeersTJ

Hi guys,I've got a question. I used the setting that Ryan posted here and it worked.But a few days ago I installed a new Nvidia-driver and now I can't get the AA to work properly.I tried to set all settings of the driver to the original values and tried activate the FSX AA but nothing works.Can someone please help me to get AA to work again, because without it is pretty ugly.The actual Nvidia driver is 280.26 and NVIDIA INSPECTOR is Version 1.9.5.5.Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm running FSX on and I7 930 overclocked to 3.8GHZ. I have 2 x GTX 460 cards (yes I know SLI does nothing for FSX but I have other games that use it). I also have 12 GB of RAM and a HD screen. I'm getting quite good performance even with the NGX (up to 50 FPS in the cruise with stock scenery, about 20 - 30 FPS around busy add on airports). I'm doing all of this by using the standard NVIDIA control panel and no other tweaks other than the ones done by *******'s FSX.cfg programme. I was wondering are there any other bits of software like NVIDIA inspector that I should use to get the best performance (I sometimes get flickering graphics). all the best David

Anyone with any idea why after switch-over from GPU to APU when using a Saved Panel state from withing the FMC, just before P/B, the Anti-Collision light had a problem? Landed at LEPA, but because I wanted to fly back from the same airport,same gate, I saved the Panel State. But when about to start, via the APU, switching the A-C lights only ended up in a red light coming on and remaining static instead of flashing. Additionally, the tail Logo, and wing lights which were on when GPU powered, now could not be swithced on. Alas,no screenshot because I killed the flight when the brakes too ceased to work, from a virtual C+D state. All three very odd. Hopefully, a wizard here…

First of all, I'd like to apologise if I appear rude/impatient, but I was wondering when the 2nd tutorial was supposed to be released? Please note, this is not someone whining about PMDG being slow or anything; just wondering, I'd be content with the answer 'in a year'i just want to know about when to expect it...

I have been using Topcat as one of the tools for flight planning, but I'm still trying to figure out how to determine what runway to anticipate for arrival. It sounds like a newbish question, but when my destination airport has two or more possible runways (26, 34L, 34C, 34R, etc.....) based on wind direction and speed, how do I plan my arrival? Is this something that is done during the latter stages of the flight, during descent? -Michael Tucker-

Hi Guys Hope you are doing great. i got ask you guys although its quite out of topic for to post this in forum. i had isssue that i play pmdg 737ngx and some of the scenery loads require huge memory like VFR London. from aerosoft . i fly pmdg 737ngx with wing view its reallly really great fell like you are there. hehe. but the problem suddenly it shows out of memory or sometimes it lags. although my memory is 12gb 1400Mhz . when i restart my memory display only 8gb the rest 12gb is no more there but physical there are.. do you know guys how to get rid of this problem . I´ve always been a die hard fan of 2D flight decks because up until last week I was only using FS9, which is finally up to par with my expectations Now PMDG screwed it all up for me since I had no other option but to start using FSX on a pretty meager system Now that I am using FSX with the NGX, I decided to start using the VC. I just bought TrackIR and alhtough I´m loving it, I´m having some difficulties.I find it hard to click on the pushbuttons I need many times because the view simply won´t hold still. Is it my trackIR technique? Can I fine tune it to be less sensitive? What are your recommendations? Also, from the capt´s perspective on the VC, when I gla…

Why haven't they fitted this A/C with this technology? Seems it would reduce drag on a standard wing? I guess with ranges of 7000NM and 9000NM maybe they dont need them? Just always wondered this.
