Hi, Shortly after buying the NGX my computer suffered a mishap (unrelated to the NGX) where it's power supply appears to have burnt out. I've taken it in to be repaired and I have been told my I7 930 can be overclocked to 3.4 GHZ quite easily and maybe even 3.8GHZ. Has anyone had this done??? If so what kind of performace gain did you get??? David

Hello,I have had a through thoughts about a Weather Radar. I'd like someone who knows much about programming in FSX to comment about this.As PMDG has stated very often moddeling a WX Radar in FSX is not possible. But I'm asking myself why.I know that the FS itself must get its information about the clouds from somewhere. I think this is done using variables which tell it about the position, the size & the type of the cloud. So it should be possible to read those information for an external program too. I was trying to find the definitive answer on why we can't have a weather radar. I understand the gist of it but not the details and I'd like to hear the official word. Searching turned up pages and pages and pages of threads that are essentially "Can we have a weather radar" / "no, PMDG have said why not, search the forum". So I searched ... I am getting a performance problem now, At this moment, windowed mode seems to be doing better than full screen, Who ever is in the know, could you check this edited config file and see if there is anything you can pick out? Just got back from a lengthly sojourn and would like to get an answer as to how to download the infamous NGX using my current Win7 home edition software. I have the FSX version of the MD-11 on my I7 930 dell computer and I believe the MD-11 is loaded into a x86 platform which is......I think the system 32 directory. I would like to download the 737NGX into a 64bit directory and would like to know some of the details as to how you accomplish this as all my FSX files...I think again are in a 32bit directory...Can anyone tell me how I can download the NGX into a 64bit format or do I have to erase everything I have on FSX and start over?? Hello, This problem has been plaguing me since I purchased an Asus 460 GTX (Oced apparently) this past Christmas. This is a problem all across the sim. Not just with any PMDG airplane or the NGX. That being said, I hope you tech gurus can help me fine tune the issue. I am currently running sliders to the right, REX HD clouds and waves, 50% AI traffic with little boat and road traffic. I am also running LOD radius at 7.5 and texture MAx load at 4096. All this runs rock solid at all add-on airports with out a hitch. The lowest FPS I get are an avg of 25 with the NGX and the J41 along with the 747 at select airports. However, its running on a 4:3 17inch monitor at 1280x102…

PMDG may have a great product in the 747-400X. However, it seems like support for the product is becoming an issue of late. I have been submitting tickets regarding dll issues since 06 Aug 2011 with absolutely no success. Product support used to be prompt. Now it seems like one can go almost a week with no resolution. Like I said earlier, the product is great but the technical support quality aspect is in decline. What is the point of purchasing a product if one cannot obtain support when one needs it?

Hi,I raised a ticket but so far, I have not had a response - but I appreciate you have been busy and I am enjoying the 737NGX a great deal; outstanding product by the way!My problem - house suffered a severe power surge which damaged my PC and external hard-drive. Hello all, I really have to say that since I installed the 737ngx I have made a few blunders which resulted in raising several Tickets and I have been amazed at the almost instantaneous replies particularly from Paul Gollnick that I have recieved bearing in mind the other things they have been dealing with. It just goes to show that the service comes with the Product. richard welsh.

Hi Guys, I recently purchased the PMDG 737NGX and I have completed a few flights in it. However, on every flight, I've not been able to land the plane like I should be able to. I've been following LNAV and VNAV throughout the entire flight. My SID and STAR was entered correctly and everything appeared to be running smoothly. I was still on VNAV and LNAV when I was moments away from turning onto final. I had NAV 1 and NAV 2 armed. I engaged VOR LOC just before I turned onto final. The plane began to turn and then successfully lined up with the runway. After it had lined up I engaged APP expecting it to capture the G/S; somehow, I missed the G/S and had to descend manually.…

I have purchased the NGX but not extended d/load service as I back up the installer on CD and, so, should not need it. Someone on the MS Flightsim newsgroup has bought the NGX and alleges that only those who purchased the extended download service can raise a support ticket? Is this true? Iain Smith

Hello, Wouldn't it be good to have technical support forum separated from general usage and experience exchange. It is very hard to get any useful information about procedures, and flying NGX as it gets to 3th page in 20min because of posts like my FPS i bad etc. Just a suggestion ;) Danko Crnkovic

Hi all there, A few weeks ago I deleted my account that was [email protected] and changed to [email protected] the point is that when I want to activate my product PMDG 747F and PMDG MD-11 how should I do when the installation manager will ask for my e-mail at the time of purchase which e-mail should I put, I sent an e-mail to PMDG at their product support but they did not answer me anything yet: One more thing when I reach the limit of activation of the product what should write at the pmdg product support area my original e-mail or the new one because if they will send the activation to my old e-mail that account was deleted, what should I do in this case, Help please…

This follows my previous thread where I am asking what monitor is worthy of then NGX. I decided to post on the General sub forum since the NGX forum is (correctly) addressing details of the new (incredible) bird.So, for FSX (which is all we know about until Flight comes out), what would you place more importance on: The opportunity to increase resolution from 1080p to something like 2560 x 1440 , or the ability to increase refresh rate from 60 Hz to 120 Hz (and therefore opening up the possibility of 3D)? Assume that both options have an IPS panel, similar latency, same LED back-light, etc.I have cross posted in the Monitor forum, where there don't seem to be many answer…

Scince getting the NGX i really carnt use it becasue of the data i put in the FMC for VNAV and LNAV if i have fsx on IFR its taqke be on direct route and not what i have slected on the chart.But i was wondering if anyone actually uses and ATC when flying the NGX or any aircraft?
