Hi everyone, I know that this topic isnt really PMDG related but this is the forum where I havegotten the quickest and best help..The problem is, sometimes at higher altitude my sky is blurry and cloudy, almost foggy(just the way i think its supposed to look) but the next secondits so clear that the ground is clearly visible from FL400, this leads me intomy question, have someone any good tips on how to configure active sky evolution to make it lookthe best? It seems there's a conflict between the JS-41 Navdata and the Aerosoft Cheyenne Navdata. I haven't had any problems at all with the Cheyenne before but after installing the JS-41 when I load the Cheyenne I get an error "FMS Error! Unable to open Airports.txt" and flightsim subsequently crashes.Ironically I planned to fly the Cheyenne until the FMS no text problem got solved... Looks like I'm renting a movie for the afternoon :( , FSX has it in for me it seems lol.

Does anyone here using tripple monitor set up for FSX? If so, do you lose FPS when running FSX in window mode? Thanks In Advance

I'm learning the pmdg 747 procedures. I setup a practice flight from manchester to Edinburgh. A couple of issues developed during this flight. Firstly, the toga thrust switch failed to kick in during takeoff. Secondly, after an almost glitch free ifr journey, my descent into edinburgh int finished off with a touchdown on the field just before the runway. I was able to bump along the field then roll over the motorway before "safely" reaching the runway. I am chuffed to have progressed this far so soon...but need to know how these two problems occurred.Cheers.Chucky35uk.

How soon can we expect the Dash-8 now that the 37 is done? :-) Although I'm also looking forward to that 777 since I enjoyed the PSS one quite a bit.

Will more realistic flight dynamics be able to be implemented with the 777 becuase of its fly-by-wire system; does this mean that Boeing can provide fly-by-wire techincal and programming information to acheive a higher level of realism on the scale of performance, autopilot, dynamics and FADEC controls?

G'day all May I suggest that PMDG create a sub forum for pc specific questions and discussion. The amount of requests for specs, overclocking etc.is rather large.It might make it easier for forum members to find the answers they are looking for in a PMDG PC forum. Cheers Captain Goose

Hey guys I know your busy with the NGX release and all but I noticed this today. When I navigate to the NGX page on precisionmanuals.com with the Safari browser I get an old page that says NGX Coming Soon! This doesn't happen on IE though. I've attached a screen shot for you.

Hello, I have reinstalled FSX, and I seem to have misplaced the 747-8 installer. Does anyone know how to receive new download links? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats to the PMDG guys. Thanks for working on the activation issue. I was just trying to make my first flight today but I noticed that FSX does not run smooth at all. When I was in the setup of the FMC and such it was fine but when I started to fly it was not smooth at all. I'm trying to run on two monitors off of my video card. XFX GTX 260. 896mb or ram. Two dvi slots. To get my FSX to two monitors I had to go to windowed mode and drag the window across both monitors. Hello PMDG, I know how picky you are about getting everything right. Just wated to point out a small typo in the 737 intro.On Page 60 it talks about a dual bottle system and dual battery system. On both there's a caution saying that ETOPS selection automatically selects the dual bottle fire system. It has the same note on the dual battery section. We all what it should read so no big whoop. Maybe you'd like to change it in future installers or something. Cheers, Xander

Hello! I installed some improved runway texture for FSX and forgot to backup the default file. This texture apperes to lower my fps approximately 9-11fps. Now i wounder if anyone know how to resotre the files without doing a repair or if someone can send me the original. Would appreciate it

hi.. i have vista 64 bit home premium, and fsx and the pmdg 747 400x, the problem is i have no virtual cockpit, i messed around with the ezdok camera, but took it off. i have a virtual cockpit with level d and other aircraft but not on the pmdg 747-400..when i go to views, view mode, cockpit, ...cockpit is available but all the others are greyed out...( virtual cockpit, mcp view, fmc1 fo seat radio stack and overhead panel) are all greyed out..i repaired the pmdg 747-400 with the orig pmdg installer. i think it might have to do with all the views i messed with ezdok camera...any help is really appreciated...rgds ken hanson yyc

I own all three products (Reality XP) and would like to know how to integrate them into the PMDG 1900D.In the file that I downloaded, I only see combinations for JL2 with either the WX500 or the GPS530, but not both.Am I missinig something?Thanks,Enrique O.Illigitimi..Non Carborundum

Hello I have seen many people recommending that FSX be installed in C drive (not program files). Why? What possible problems does this eradicate, does it give better performance? Would it be worth the time to re-apply many tweaks and install several backups. Also is there a limit to how many times the NGX can be re-installed? I have already installed it twice after i thought something went wrong. So would a third be close to my limit. Thanks

Good evening to the PMDG team from SwitzerlandFirst of all, your products are day by day cheapper, due the currency lost of the US$ :-)In different posts you recommended do not install the FSX in the program-folder of the harddisk, instead directly on C:/FSX.Since FS9 with PMDGs 737, 747-400 and MD11 and FSX with the 747-400 and MD11 my FSX runs in the program folder without any problems.I don't think I can remove the FSX without a reinstall to the C./FSX? I don't want a reinstall of FSX with the SP1 and 2, PMDGs 747-400 and MD11.Why before never it was an issue and now it is? For me it is this important for a go or no go with NGX.Thank you very much for your answer on th…

No sign of any Activation window........... Nada, Zero , Zip.Closed down all firewall settings.Run as Admin.....installs.......Start FSX select the NGX, it will load , then , Nothing , no activation windowUse Trend Micro .Had the very same problem with the J41.Why oh why. Robert, just looking at the purchasing page on the PMDG site. The listing for the NGX indicates that there is currently a discount of 5% on this product. Can you (or someone else) please tell us for how long this discount will be available?

And you decide to work a little under hood? :( Decided to upgrade my 747 sounds with the new ones from the NGX. I changed the TCAS, EGPWS, the SPDBRK motor and the stick shaker. I would have changed the packs sound too but it became impossible due to the NGX not having spool up/ down sounds. It sounds much better now imo, and It's like a preview of the 747 V2 which I am very ery exited to see happening. On a side note, decided to try again taking Self Shadows down, and rebuilt my CFG.. getting 30 - 40 FPS now, the FPS count is more or less on par with the queen but it still feels choppy.
