Our beloved -400 first saw daylight under her mains 25 years ago...today! Those 25 years have only solidified the love affair for me. Now, as we look forward to V2 from PMDG.... I can only celebrate her tenure and her future. Long may she reign!

I have a brand new system, a brand new untouched FSX and the JS4100, 747-400/F/8i and the 737 NGX 800/900 all to reinstall. I'll need to get key reactivations on all of them. Do I need to fill out a separate ticket for each? Jon

This thread will most likely get moved, but, anyways.............. My AIRAC is due for an update, and I am looking at whether to stick with Navigraph, or to go to Aerosoft. I fly pretty much anywhere, but stick to predominantly Regional South-west Australia (Thankyooooouuuuuuu Majestic.................................) I have seen reviews that Asoft offers a greater range of airports in certain areas, but lacks some lesser known regions. I am concerned that, If I go for the Navdatapro, I will be stuck with an "airbus X extended" AIRAC that would lack some content. Cheers in advance Jarrad

Hi, is anyone else using the saitek trim wheel with PMDG planes? I got mine couple days ago and went through test flights/fsuipc config with all the planes in my hanger, all performing beautifully until my favorite tow i saved for last the trim wheel is configured as ELEVATOR TRIM in FSUIPC - so normal behavior is same as real aircraft trim - ie forward/up is trim down and down/back is trim up. Every aircraft except PMDG works perfectly 747 and J41 work perfectly (older planes?) - in fact I was so overjoyed i posted my satisfaction with the J41/wheel combo - a real joy to manual fly. 747 didnt fly but tested fine in cockpit MD-11 - ALL wheel movemen…

I must say I'm either blind, stupid, or highly disapointed with PMDG when it comes to the paint kits for these NGX's. I'm having some issues using Gimp to repaint the 739NGX, but I'm not sure if Gimp is the problem or the kit itself, or something I did, or what? I understand this isn't rocket science, but after reading the little two page instruction book that came with the kit (which says that this is a complicated paint kit, and that it is just a brief introduction to the files, but not meant to be a manual for the dang kit), I really figured I would find a ton of help online...more manuals from the company that made the dang thing (which specializes in the production o…

Evening everyone. Can anyone (perhaps someone from pmdg) shed any light on the upcoming plans for the dash 8? Watching the video posted on pmdg's page reference: 747800 demonstrates plans / dates around expected / upcoming developments, that are a little old. I remember seeing the dash8 planned for 2011. Much focus right now is on the 777 (and quite rightly so, we're all anticipating this beautiful bird) along with the 747 v2. However, I'm wondering if this dash8 is still in the pipeline to being complete and if there are some revised timelines now that I believe the 777 is on its final round up for release. :-) Thanks in advance for anticipated reply's. ds

Gents- Between 16APR13-01MAY13, we will be in the process of reconfiguring our operation to handle the increase loads and customer capacity anticipated for the 777 release. During this period of change, some users may experience intermittent service outages at eCommerce, license activation, email, downloads and technical support. These outages will usually be quite short, averaging < 3 minutes when machines get reset, but a few may last longer as machine IP addresses change because it takes some time for that information to propagate across the entire internet. If you run into something that does not appear to be working- give it 5 minutes and try again…

I have a copy of the 737 800NG for fs9. It runs excellent in fs9 but I would like to be able to run it on my FSX. I can load the aircraft but not the cockpit.If I remove the gauge pmdg ng main panel then the cockpit will open up with no gauges or click spots. Is it possible or will I have to spend a load more dosh on the NGX version. I have read of people who have made it work but they dont sat how!

Hi, I'm working on an RNAV approach for rwy 21 in LLET. The approach is like this: 7000ft @SAMAR, 3000ft @KITOR, 900ft @MIYAH and then visual for the runway. I wrote this in the LLET.txt (PMDG\SIDSTAR): In the FIXES section, I wrote: And still, when I add the approach, it shows the waypoint MIYAH 20 nm away, somewhere near Taba, Egypt: The waypoint MIYAH is located, acording to the chart, at: 29°36’32 ” N 034 °59’04 ” E Which is translated to "N 29 29.60888 E 34 34.98444", as in the FIXES section. Hello, Random one from me but I watch these forums daily and I haven't heard to much about the 747 v2 recently so I just wanted to voice my excitement to how much I am looking forward to this project! With 2 companies doing a Heathrow remake (the 747's home!) I think the future is very bright for the 747 in FSX when you include all the brilliant addon airports you can fly to. The 777 will be brilliant but there is only 1 Queen of the Skies! So I look forward to any news of this project in the future.

One thing that seems to be a bit of a pain, but, which I suspect your development team could do a *very* nice job of, would be an add-on that gives excellent VATSIM capabilities. of course, it would be really cool for that add-on to plug in very tightly with the aircraft add-ons, but, as a stand-alone add-on could be cool too. why not? it would be an entirely separate income stream for you guys. you could also do something similar for the other online simulation networks.

Greetings all, My hard drive just crashed, so I'm going to have to reinstall everything. Luckily, the current drive still works in safe mode, so it appears that I can save everything. I'm currently moving everything to an external drive, and will move that to the new drive once I get it. What is the correct procedure for reinstalling MSFS and the PMDG Addons? I still have the original FSX disc, so I'll obviously start from there. I know there are service packs, etc, but I can't remember the correct order to install them. Also, my current drive has a lot of info in the "app data" folders. Which of this info, if any, do I need to save? Or is this info re-gene…

Just renewed my 737NGX because i got a new comp and had to purchase it again to install it on the new rig. now im trying to activate it and im getting a message saying that im unable to connect to their activation server and to check my internet connection, and well my internet is working fine. anyone else having a similar problem... any way to fix it or maybe contact the people at PMDG... this is REALLY frustrating

My dad Is a former United 747-400 captain with over 2000 hours in that type would PMDG let him beta test the V2?

Hi I know this one is about practicing a lot but I would like to ask for some general tips concerning approaches with some degrees offset in LOC (ILS). I tend to land beside the runway. Should I start adjusting for the runway center line at or below minimums (A/P turned off)? Should I use ND in anyway...like trying to line up according to the airdrome extension center line? -Geir

Just to balance 777. 7 is a lucky number, let alone 3. But nothing compares 6 when there's DC- in front of it be it that a 7 goes well with that too as well as 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 for that matter. I lost my NGX and NGX Expansion a while back due to HD failure. I purchased the Extended Download Service today to retrieve my new files but have not received anything....my old links still don't fucntion and I have not received any new ones. Did I just waste $5 for the "Extended Download Service"? ------------ Shane Srenaski

PMDG, I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do with my failed install of the MD-11 for FS9 since I've sent multiple e-mails to support with no response for two weeks. I recently purchased a new computer and I'm trying to install the product on my machine with no success. I purchased the extended download service, and got the link from Paul, but when I try to install it, it asks for my original (I presume) password that I used when I first downloaded it years ago. Unfortunately, I've long lost that, your system will not send me a password reminder (despite multiple requests and attempts), and it appears that any/all of my e-mails to "support" are either being ignored …
