I am currently on windows XP with an Intel Core2Duo E8500, 2x2GB memory and a GE Force 9800GT Video Card. Due to my new build PC, I will be going with an Intel i7 3770 and GE Force GTX650TI. I am still on the fence about the move from Window XP to 7 (or 8). I understand about the pending sunset of XP support but this PC is game (FS9) only. Another PC handles the real world chores. How does the 747-400 (or any other addon) handle the move to Windows 7? Any suggestions or ideas to make the transition without blowing a gasket?

I was just Daydreaming about a PMDG ATR 72- 500/600 I know it will never happen. I guess the release of the MJ Q400 got me dreaming of what a great ATR PMDG could do. Cheers Jason

Hi I'm experiencing som strange stuff with Kraków Balice 2012 X. When approaching RWY 25 ILS or RNAV or whatever approach the speed suddenly increases at approximately 1300 ft (BARO). Even thought all settings in FSX are set to custom weather with no winds in order to make it easy. But still the speed increases sharply when turning off auto pilot, papi get white and the nice and smooth approach is messed up. It only happens with this approach. I fly PMDG 737-700. Any suggestion on what can be the problem. Settings in FSX are set to easy in order to practice. Geir

Hey fellows, so basically the way that i setup my stabilizer trim for takeoff is by pressing double click on the fmc button near the stabilizer trim on the takeoff page (after filling all of the perf init page: weight, runway...) but recently i was trying to make it be more realistic, so i took the page that i printed using Topcat, and filled with the number for the stabilizer trim setup for takeoff, for instance 27.46 the number that i get 4.81 is not match the 5.33 that i get if i am double clicking. i filled the payload/pax correctly. basically my question is: should i use topcat to calculate the stabilizer trim, and the v's speeds for takeoff? or should i rely the…

to everyone at pmd, these are my reasons why i do not ask for release dates, well you cant rush perfection right? im not going to say other product names but when i fancy a change or buy a new product i always think its going to be up to pmdg level, yeah some of them do have pretty good frames and yes they do have alot of potential but there never reached in there potential but see right there is the reason i come back to pmdg products everytime, they run fantastically, they only have to release 1 or 2 service packs which i mean its pretty darn good considering how many different type of pc set-ups there are out there i mean not every 2 pcs are exactly the same!, …

Hi all, I operate my long haul flight with magnificent MD11F cargo, but recently I falled in love also with 747, which I'll use for pax and cargo operations too. I'd like to purchase 747-400 but it seems a little absurd, since will be released version 2.0 after 777 release. In your opinion how long we have to wait for V2.0, after the release of T7, six months - one year or less?

I have put a new SSD HD in my PC and have made a fresh install of FSX and have started to put some add-ons in. One of the first planes to install is off course PMDG 737NGX, but when I check in on my account to download it, I get the message "NOTE This URL has expired" I bought the 737NGX as a download on 2011-08-31. Are there a time limit on how long I can download it or what's wrong? J.Lundtoft

So I was just wondering if there is any interest in an Ejet series done to the level of PMDG's current productline? This would include a high fidelity E170/175 & E190/195. I have used the one that is currently available but after all these years I think its time for a more in-depth simulation of this popular regional aircraft.

Captains- I am replacing Ryan's earlier message from yesterday with some updated information. We are seeing a significant slowing of communications to one of the servers involved in our technical support and license handling processes. The slowdown is being investigated, but as of right now appears to be related to some type of traffic flow problem outside of the data center at which this particular machine resides. That is what they are telling us at the moment- but I will be candid and tell you that I suspect the failure is actually inside that data center- and we are working to prove that to them at this moment. We have our own server techs working…

Hello, I recently purchased the re-download service for 4 products after a long break from Flight Simming. I created an account in the PMDG support portal and I've been awaiting a verification email for a quite a while. 1) I've checked spam filters and folders 2) I've tried a @gmail.com @me.com and a private domain email address and nothing is being sent. 3) How do I go about getting this fixed because the verification email is not being sent. Thanks Conrad

Hi all, need some help on a new computer, i would like to upgrade to FSX and run the 737 NGX and the new 777 with decent smooth framerates....basically buy good and not have to upgrade in the next year or so. I have brought from Mesh Computers before and have been running my old quad core for years maxing out on the settings in FS2004 using the PMDG products with no probs, using active sky, Navigraph, flight following software etc and i was looking at the following spec: http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default.aspx?PAGE=PRODUCTCONFIGPAGE&USG=PRODUCT&ENT=PRODUCT&KEY=1071200&UTM_SOURCE=homepage&UTM_MEDIUM=online&UTM_CONTENT=SPECIALIST_GAMING&…

I've been flight simming for a while, not really "to the max", like some people are (I'm still working on learning navigation, etc). Normally I just like to fly around but I want a plane that provides some good simulation and doesn't really require me to read a five-hundred page manual to enjoy the aircraft. While manuals are good, I'd much prefer just having a tutorial and being able to fly. The incredibly detailed manual thing just isn't for me.. yet. That said, I've been looking at the J41 because it looks a bit easier to learn and operate than say the NGX, but still having a good level of simulation in it. Would it be a good aircraft to learn how to really get int…

I missed her :-) really!!! It's indeed a great add-on, beautifully designed in all aspects, a charm to hand-fly and even being complex it still offers a very acceptable ride on my simulator :-) Support service from PMDG was also 5 stars!!!

I am now just one more Super-Pride owner of the 737 NGX. I was able to re-install my Queen of the Skies (from 2007) two weeks ago, and Whow! Today I decided to buy the 737 NGX. Well.... All I can say is: The other variants, the MD-11, the 777 EVERYTHING will be on my to-buy list for this year :-) Thank you for the quality of your products PMDG! They are really PRECISION add-ons!!!!

Captains- I have been somewhat invisible in the forum recently- which many of you will recognize from history means that we are at that "peak of heavy lifting" on the 777. I wanted to give you a quick update on a few items that are currently in the mix- as well as clear up a few items that have "taken on a life of their own" so to speak. PMDG 777-200LR: =============== The PMDG 777-200LR is progressing exceptionally well. While we have not hit any significant developmental snags as we did with the NGX (my head hurts just thinking about that development cycle!) we aren't progressing as quickly as we would like. This has everything to do with the things we h…

While trying to find the HIGHMEFIX=1 just to double check, I can not find the [GRAPHICS] section for FSX. I downloaded Notepad++++ and did a search for HIGHMEFIX and found it in \gd.dll Everything seems to be running great except I am having skeleton issues with the Queen. I am clueless with this issue. Not a programmer. Thanks, Ron

Hey, guys. I've been a FS9 simmer for a while and I just moved to P3D. The only PMDG products I own are the 1900C and D, so I admittedly don't have any first hand knowledge or experience with the newer, more advanced PMDG products. The question I posed in my subject has been, I am sure, hotly debated, and I assure you I do not come here with any agenda or any intention of flaming anyone. I am just curious why PMDG has decided not to support use of its aircraft in P3D? I ask that because PMDG is recognized as one of the leading developers of commercial aircraft add-ons. Many of PMDG's competitors, like iFly, Quality Wings, Aerosoft, LevelD, and FSLabs do allow the use o…
