I recently purchased Anchorage X by Aerosoft and started doing some flying around Alaska. These screenshots were taken shortly after 12am local time. I never knew the extended daylight during the summer months was simulated so well in FSX. I've never been to Alaska so can anyone confirm how realistic these pictures are? Enjoy!

I came across this a while ago and have been meaning to share it - I understand @rsrandazzo is fanatic about this aircraft too! Thought the majority of you guys would enjoy it also. Sorry it's not completely FSX/PMDG related - well, it's one of their present and future products Maybe if we buy enough B777's, they can get one of those simulators casually installed in the office B)

Hello. I just purchased the MD-11 and when I tried to install it and I got this message. FS9 Version 9.1.040901 (FS9.1 at least) required. You only have FS9 Version 9.0.0.30612 installed. Please install FS9.1 or later to use this product. Has anyone else ever had this happen? ..........John

I bought the NGX in 2012 (summer) and it has been a blast. It has taken my flight simming to a whole new level and I am really enjoying it! Now, I have decided to invest in a new computer. And I start thinking about all my add ons. Since I have downloaded the NGX when I bought it, I logged in to my account at PMDG, but I see that the download URL has expired. Does this mean that I have to buy the NGX again? Or can I just put the downloaded file from my old computer and install it again on my new computer with the same license?

Looking at the 737 NGX, but also looking at buying the full Chief Pilots Manual Set for the 737NGX Its expensive, comes to a whopping $330.00 before shipping. Also, since I'm going this far, might as well get the Angle of Attack 737 NGX training video which is impressive to say the least. 9 hours plus of video on it! So after buying the software itself, the manual set, video, etc... would it be worth it? Lot of money I know, but I'd really like to dive head first into a detailed FSX simulation. What say the masses? Jacob Sanders

Capt. rsrandazzo, I am a long time user of PMDG add-ons. The best in my books...I've watched over the years as computer hardware gets better and better BUT our beloved Flight Sim platforms cant fully use these advances in technology. Its a real pity FSX was never upgraded to take advantage of these advances. So as soon as X-Plane10 went 64BIT I decided to give it another go...well what I difference the 64BIT version made to my Flight Simulator experience. Finally my I7 CPU, 16G Memory, GTX680 in SLI could be put to work! I am sure X-Plane will grow to become the mainstream platform for flight simulation.....Will PMDG embrace this journey with the X-Plane community? …

Tried this in a couple of forums and no luck - so hoping someone can help me here. I installed ENB and experienced extreme instability, so got it right uninstalled since fatal errors were rarely seen prior. However, the "enbseries.ini" file rewrites itself whenever FSX is opened - regardless of me deleting it in the main FSX folder. Anyone got any tips to stop it doing that? Cheers, Luke ^_^

  11. I'm just wondering if PMDG ever thought about improving the behaviour of FSX navaids through some sort of custom engine or external process (or use an external database like Navigraph) to simulate radio propagation effects like ILS scalloping/false glideslopes, Terrain line-of-sight issues, coastal effect etc. I imagine PMDG can also sell this as a separate product for use with future addons from other developers, sort of like A2A branching off into the FSX utility business with Accufeel. Also it would be nice if PMDG can create a little editor for users to recreate RF conditions around their local airports. Right now the FSX navaids are extremely precise and are unaf…

  12. So.. i made a NGX-RTE file for Secret Shuttle mission and i'd like to share if anyone is interested. It has custom waypoints, Mercury NDB (MCY), Pyramid NDB (PYD) and AR51 (Area 51 airport)- and a tutorial how to change default plane to PMDG NGX 736... https://www.dropbox.com/s/vx435t8mflwcjkn/PMDG%20NGX%20Flightplan%20Secret%20Shuttle%20Mission.zip

  13. Gents- (I'm using this term loosely, as a few to whom this post is directed have failed rather spectacularly to act as such...) I have probably discussed this 3,000 times in this forum, but based on some of the behavior that some folks displayed last night, perhaps it is time for a quick refresher. Question: Why are we not giving you a release date for the 777? Answer: Because we have a long-standing policy that we do not project release dates until we are certain we have a releasable candidate on our hands. Discussion: This policy is not arbitrary and it is not done for our amusement. We have maintained this policy for 16 years for one simple and …

June 18, 2013 Gentlemen, For several years I have been and still am a customer of PMDG and, as you could see from my account, over the years I have purchased most if not all of your products which I use with great pleasure on my home tower computer. I have now, in addition, a mighty laptop which I plan to use on trips or vacations and on which, on these occasions, I would also like to use your products. Rather than uninstalling and reinstalling these products back and forth, which would be annoying, time consuming and potentially dangerous, I would prefer to install them permanently on my laptop, in addition to the installation on my tower computer, using …

  15. The PMDG forums are for PMDG product discussions and support. Posting topics here related to other games, non-illustrative images (as in, I have a problem, here is an image of it), news items not related to PMDG etc. are OFF TOPIC. We are going to get a little more agressive in ensuring that those posts are moved to appropriate locations within AVSIM or deleted. Please do not post off-topic (NON-PMDG) topics, and please do not try to circumvent this. We ask everyone to help us by reporting any off-topic posts here. Thank you.

  17. Captains- We have a bit of a special feature for you tonight- in the form of an external model preview DOUBLE FEATURE! Tonight we get you up close and personal with the exterior detail of the PMDG 777-200LR. This is by far the most detailed model we have yet created (well- excepting the PMDG 747-400 v2.0 exterior model- but we aren't previewing that tonight... <cough>) Okay- lets start with a cool view of the left wingtip. You get a real nice sense for the detail in such things as the lights, the structural bend of the wing as it flexes in flight, and the details of the engine and pylon on this massive airplane. Next up we have a great n…

I have noticed that in the PMDG options while in FSX, there are options for performance tuning, and specifically the Virtual Cockpit.I am curious as to what this option changes, as when i move it from full low, to full high, i notice very little change in quality and also very little impact on performance.I have also noticed that if I run FSX using only two cores, I get better performance than when i'm using all 4. I find this to be a little bizarre and hope you can shed some light on both of these things. :( Cheers,

  20. Was curious if we will get all available engine types to choose from? Whether its the GEnx, GE-110/115, Rolls Royce Trenn 800/900/1000, Pratt & Whitney? Would be awesome since I love the distinct sound of each engine and was wondering if PMDG also takes engine sound seriously into consideration by offering us different combinations that we can choose?

Perfect for short island hopping flights in Hawaii with Hawaiian. We now have all the airports. Plus SWA will soon be flying them. I for one think this is a fantastic aircraft. If you have ever flown on one or seen the flight deck, you know what I mean. So, who else wants a 717. Let's truly see if there is enough demand to justify a product.Jack

Hello all. Can Ryan or anyone in the know about the FMS on the NG tell me if saving a user built procedure is possible. I used the fly the EMB-145 with the UNS-1K and we could save user built waypoints, procedures, and routes. When the NGX comes out I want to build the RNP approach to runway 26 at Juneau, Alaska. It's a proprietary procedure that Alaska Airlines uses so it's not in any database except their own. I'm just going to use lat/longs or PBD's to build user defined waypoints down the Gastineau Channel. I'm almost sure you can save user defind waypoints, but an FMS wizard on the NG will have to tell me if I can save a whole approach procedure. By the way if…

Dear Simmers, I am having an issue not specifically with PMDG but their support services. The issue that I am facing is relatively minor (and has been posted on this forum), however all seem to think that the best option is to submit a PMDG ticket. The issue is that I can not find how to submit a ticket to the "product support" department. I do not know if this is a service that must be purchased (and I do hope it isn't), however when I go to submit a ticket the department is always "License Reactivations" with no drop-down menu. In the information section it says to go back to select another department, however I have no idea where to do that. Any help would be great…
