Hello I have a question, I want to add new airport that is missing from the FMC(PMDG both 747 and 737 for FSX), In my case it's missing a military field in the mid-est(ICAO LLNV). I did make new "SIDSTAR" text for it, and added the "new" runways to the "wpnavapt.txt" and added the airport to "airports.dat". The problem is that the FMC does not recognize the runways, it show "LLNV ERR: 08L RWY N/A" Dose any one have any guesses how to fix it? Thanks

There has been a lot of discussion here on shading. I recently purchased Euro Truck Simulator 2. The shading in that is amazing. At night when you go between streetlights the glow of light passes through the cab. When you go under a tree it darkens etc. And the graphics are top notch. I am not an expert and do not know if maybe something like this could be a new platform. I know it is just on the road and only covers small areas at a time but they do have something here. I have played different driving games over the years but nothing like this. Thanks, Ron

I am very sorry to be this guy for once, but I am wondering something I can't understand. I am completely aware that Robert made some topic about PMDG and P3D, and I know this topic has already been discussed into fine detail. However, this was already quite a while ago, and things seem to be starting to change. The bit that I don't understand is, why are like 90% of the lately released add-ons compatible with Prepar3D and PMDG products are not, and aren't planned to be either? OpusFSX, REX, Aerosoft Scenery, ORBX, just to name a few, all feature an option during installation that allows it to be installed for P3D. So obviously the question is, why can other companies, b…

Today I was looking through the Captains set of 777 flight manuals and noticed that the 777 was being reffered to as the 777NG a lot. Is this a mistake from copying from the NGX or deliberate Alex Jones

After 15 years of low and slow rubber-necking in the MS Flight Simulator world I’m getting the bug to challenge myself with learning to fly the 737NGX. Up till now the only jet I have spent a lot of time with is the F1 Citation Mustang (and I do like it). I’ve downloaded the 737 PDF’s from PMDG’s site and have started working my way into them. I’ve also been lurking the “General” and “737” forums here the past week or two. Regarding purchasing: Is the download of the software a “wrapper” type of delivery system? Hey guys, I am just as excited as everyone with the previews and videos from all the beta testers.I was going through some videos of the ngx and noticed the awesome tutorials of the ngx by AOA.I was just wondering if we would get any videos this time around from them prior to release. Cheers.

One feature that I think would be amazing would be for PMDG to enable the FMC to be controlled via a web browser and an IP address from the main FSX PC, thus enabling wireless connectivity on touchpad devices, such as iPad or the Samsung Note 10.1, without having to worry about the OS on the receiving device. Such a feature is available today from competitors, both here in FSX and over on the darkside (XPX). I don't know if this is hard or simple to do- but it would be so very amazing and save people the frames hit of having to display the FMC on their non-touch secondary monitor. Hi PMDG and fellow simmers. After the newly mandatory sign-in-to-read post on AVSIM, I feel that it would be nice for PMDG to maybe croospost theirs updates on ongoing project to another site where you don't have to be a member to read. I feel that it's not the best solution for me as a reader to often sign in and read the updates, and I think many of PMDG's potential cutsmoers are missing out, also I mention that it's probably not a good marketing media. I hope this not comes out as rude, since that is not my purpose. Neither is the purpose of critizing AVSIM in any way. Thanks.

Hello Everyone, I have recently downloaded the 747-800 and am looking at doing a cold and dark start. I have it ready to start, but cannot locate the panel switcher. Without that it is difficult to access the overhead panel. Can someone help me find it? I read the smith website. I do not see anything in the middle top of the monitor, and i have tried clicking on the center pedestal. Nothing? What now? Any help much appreciated! Lennie PPSEL

I am about to start making the transition from FS9 to FSX (yes, I know I am 7 years late!) and this week will be ordering a new super-rig to upgrade my virtual life. I've been flying PMDG in FS9 for years and recall that the sequence of installation of their Boeing jets was important. I want to ask, when I get my new rig, will I have to instal the PMDG Boeing fleet in any particular sequence? Or can I go ahead and just buy the 747-400X first, for example, or maybe the new 777 when it is released? Or do I need to instal the NGX as the "base" model for all subsequent PMDG Boeing jets? I have just purchased the PMDG Jet Stream and after a succesful Install When I start FSX and then select the aircraft FSX fatal error and shuts down any help out there why as no other aircraft do this. I have a AMD 4100 3.6 Quad core 8 Gb DDR Ram 2gb NVIDA Graphics card Windows 7

1. I am beginning to appreciate the immersion that the FSX feature 'light bloom' creates inside the VC. It creates this sun reflection on the equipment inside the VC. 2. I have always enjoyed the moving shadows inside the VC when running FSX in DX10 mode. As for 1. I notice that the LD767 with its outdated (even with A Folkers terrific new VC) yet acceptable cockpit, this light bloom effect is fanatastic. It provides this feeling of i-am-flying-above-the-clouds-in-a-sunny-blue-sky-and-i-need-to-put-on-my-sunglasses. The way the NGX737 VC handles light bloom is completely different. perhaps it's not even there. it''s difficult to say. if so, it is hardly noticeable.…

Hi, is the support ticket system down at the moment? I have tried 3 times in the past couple of day to submit one for a license reactivation but when I click Next it takes me back to the support home screen, with no acknowledgement. Tried different browsers etc. Thanks!

When REX decideds to stick a hot rod down my throat by downloading weather during my approach from about 20m visibilty to 1m I need help figuring out the glide slope. When the airport does not use ILS is there any way to have a glide slope if you cannot see the PAPI lights. It is frustrating always changing the weather making it unrealistic. So all I need to another glide slope option other than the PAPI Lights when I cannot see anything tan a mile foward.

Hi everybody,quick question: Can anybody please explain why every ILS in the 737NG in fs9 is now offset? This has suddenly started happeing after a long period of simming absence.The aircraft is not even just too far left or right of the centre line, but each approach has about a 10-15 degree portside offset. I have tried every different wind setting, to see if cross wind was the problem, but to no avail. Even in totally wind-still situations, the approach is still offset.Have I unwittingly changed a settng in the FMC by mistake perhaps? Or is this an fs9 general settings issue? Anybody have any other ideas? Any help most appreciated!!Greetz from EDDFEd
