I am new to the PMDG software as I only recently got introduced to it. It is awesome to say the least. I am planning to buy the 737NGX package but are there any vouchers or discount codes that I could use? Thanks Anyway.

Hello all, her some thoughts sharing concerning the PMDG 747-400 and the PMDG 737-800: - I have been flying the 747-400 almost 6 months and the 737- just one week ago and have notice straight away that the pmdg really invested more time on developing the 737 in comparison to the 747. Overall from my experience, the 737 has a lot more animations! for example: - all the work they did with the FMC (gound connections, door controls, fuel setting) - while on the 747 is done with a menu. - overal animations such as: lighting - displays: on the 737 the terrain can be considered - while on the 747 this option is not available (why not?) - among others... howeve…

Althogh this doesn't pertain to PMDG, I can't seem to find a solution to my problem and was hoping someone in the forum could help me. So here's the problem: Today I decided to fly for the first time in about a month. When FSX loaded the 737, I right-clicked on my mouse to try and bring up the menu that you would usually get when you right-click. It didn't work. I tried this multiple times. I minimized FSX to get to my desktop screen, and see if my mouse was malfunctioning, but it worked fine. I went back into FSX and tried again. It still didn't work. I exited out of FSX completely and restarted it, and reloaded the 737. Same result. After restarting many tim…

After a hardware update, I had problems with my FSX, Captain Sim aircraft would not work or reinstall, well after weeks of work, and a fresh FSX install, they're fixed. My Level D 767 works fine as well. Now my PMDG MD11 and 747 won't work right, nothing seems to respond to mouse clicks on the panels or pedestals. Also the PMDG line on the add on tab on the FSX menu bar is gone. I've reinstalled twice with no luck. I have the boxed versions distributed by aerosoft and a downloaded LCF upgrade for the 747. Thank, Mike

FSXSpy is a server thats streams the content of fsx instrument panels to remote clients and relays mouseclicks back to fsx. FSXSpy is completely redesigned and now has a build-in web server so any client pc with a browser can connect. For both the web and the standalone client, image frames are refreshed with a mjpeg stream of 5 fps, mouse clicks are passed on to fsx, and the CDU "itself" doesn't have to be visible on the fsx machine. The free version is for single channel use, multiple channels are enabled in the cockpit pro version that will become available soon. More info and the download for the free version can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/jwk737/home/f…

Hi, Someone mentioned this the other day but i can't find the thread but it's a really good idea. I wonder if PMDG would ever do a small "the making of" documentry (youtube etc) over the development of a product including the design process and testing etc. I know that a lot of people would find it really interesting and also it would allow PMDG to show some of the factors involved and how the development process cycle works and the sort of challenges you face. Not my idea but a great one i think. Regards Ceri

I don't normally make requests for functionality, etc in new or existing products from PMDG but this time I am going to make an exception. I personally would like to see a few things: 1. A functioning cockpit door. I'm not asking for the precise locking mechanisms to be simulated or any security features modelled - just a simple left mouse-click anywhere on the cockpit door and it swings open with a view of the forward galley. Just the visual of a door opening and closing. Easy! 2. I'd also like to see just the forward galley modelled with a curtain blocking the view down toward the rear of the aircraft to save polygons or whatever it is. Why do I ask for these tw…

I've purchased the MD-11 for FSX but upon installation I'm encountering a problem. I cannot activate the product even though I've entered all the information required (email, order ID and password) correctly. During purchase I already had problems with logging into my account (which was unsuccessful). I then created a new account and I was able to complete the purchase.

Hi everyone, I got the Majestic Dash 8 and I was extremely impressed. The quality is beyond belief, and the flight dynamics felt so natural, even a bit more realistic than the NGX (sorry PMDG, still love you guys though ), and also the performance was surprisingly good for such a detailed aircraft, and I wondered how this could be possible. Until I heard something about a seperate FDE (Flight Dynamics Engine) that is present in this aircraft which is really considered a game changer. Basically, to my knowledge, FSX (add-on) planes all use the built-in FDE to handle flight dynamics. The Majestic Dash 8 however, has got a FDE that was built into the aircraft itself rather…

Occasionally I get a Blue Screen Of Death, whilst flying the 747-400X, with the message which says something like "a clock synchronisation from a subsystem failed". I have the uiautomationcore.dll of the correct level installed on my Win7-64 PC. On restart, the flight continues as normal. Is this more likely to be caused by the underlying Win7 or FSX than by the PMDG software? Any help would be great from someone with relevant expertise! Cheers, R

Ok, so I had to do a complete reformat of my hard drive, and forgot to backup the JS41, now my link has expired, and I have to spend more money to download it again. To date I have had to do this multiple times, and the cost adds up. I think it is an unfair practice to be honest. Any money at all to download something I have already legally purchased, makes me feel like a criminal for wanting my aircraft again. Patrick Boynton

Last July during the first preview post of the 777, RSR mentioned that there was "a huge breakthrough / something we have never seen done in FSX before" Has that been revealed yet? http://forum.avsim.net/topic/380842-26jul12-pmdg-777-for-fsx-let-the-previews-begin/?p=2428934

Dear captains, With the recent release of exterior model previews of the 777, I have decided to ask this long-delayed question: What do you look for in an exterior model? More so, what makes you feel that x,y,z is an outstanding exterior model, vs a,b,c, is only a "good" one? The reason I ask is, I know what a good model is when I compare that with a not-so-good one. However, I can't really tell the difference between a good and a better one. I trust that PMDG only produces above-good quality products, and many people get excited over the exterior model (surely as well as interior and systems etc.). Thus I put-forward this question, what makes you "owh"? …

I ask this in another forum no ans so will try here also....will there be a way to undock the 777 outside view, no cockpit and move to a separate monitor or projector the same way you can on a 2D cockpit. I have not been able to do this with a VC cockpit. percy lee

Being a huge fan of PMDG aircraft and the TV show "How It's Made", could PMDG possibly make a movie documentary on how they start from scratch to building such elaborate aircraft for FSX? I would love to see an overview of the process in a 30-60 minute segment................not revealing any trade secrets off course. Thanks and keep up the good work. - Ian

I'd like to be ready to fly the new 777 by loading the FMC with Flight Plans produced in "Flightsim Commander". As I don't want to load the Flight Plans automatically I should to learn how to enter them manually. However I'm not clear as to how to distinguish which entries are for the "via" on the left and which should be on the "to" on the right. As an example here's Flight Plan from Alicante (Spain) to Heathrow.: LEAL NARGO UN860 VCL UM985 SOPET UN608GIROM UQ226 ANG GIROM UQ226 ANG UN861 DIKRO UN863 AVANT UL980 MID EGLL I assume that all the numbered items are Airways (for entry on the left) and the rest are Waypoints (for entry on the right) Am I c…

I usually do not post on the forum and have been a lurker for a while, but I just finished listening to Mr. Randazzo's Fancon speech as well as his interview during the flight that was done for Tony's cause and I have to say I have been blown away by his passion and commitment to the FS community. There is no question or request accompanying this post, these are just my thoughts on the impact of PMDG on the FS community and I am curious to hear the thoughts of other fellow posters. 1. As someone who was an avid simmer in the 90s and early 2000's with the early FS versions, I gradually lost interest in the hobby 2005 onwards, mostly due to life taking over but also bec…

Just wondering if this will cause any problems with any PMDG products if we do NOT update? I've had a few problems prior to updating, but I'm unsure as to whether or not this was the source of these problems. Can someone from PMDG technical support chime in please? For the last ten years FSUIPC has been protected against both unwanted alteration and virus infection by the use of a Code Signature, purchased from and protected by GlobalSign, an officially recognised Windows Certificate Authority. It has come to my attention that within the last two weeks the same Code Signature has been used to sign malicious software, apparently in the form of Java updates, to m…

I am wondering what framerates you get when flying the Ngx. I do not get any higher then 15fps. My system should be more than fine. It is an i7 with a good and recent videocard. I have lots of memory. Every benchmark says my computer is very well. My CPU is used for 30% when flying. I installed fsx on a separate hard disk, with no other programs. I used all tricks and tips I could find to optimize the installation, includings tips mentioned here. I did the same when installing the Ngx. Really; I have read so much about this. I also use programs like fsps. I does not matter if I use or not use programs like ase or fspassengers. And still she stutters when flying. The fp…
