Hi all I recently learned a lot about VOR, DME and NDB. After the theory, I took my NGX, switched the display to the VOR view and made a full flight in Alaska from A to B only with VOR/NDB/DME Navigation, including a VOR/DME Landing. It was like flying blind in the first, and you really have to focus on the situational awareness. But after a while, it was quite fun as you are really challenged to reach your destination. The most difficult thing is to know when you have to start the turn to reach the new radial without overshooting. So despite this was very fun, challenging and educational, I know that this is not the way you doi it in a plane like the 737 NG, wher…

Hello everyone. I am new to this but I was wondering if PMDG will release the -300 version? And, I was also wondering if PMDG has developed or will develop an Airbus airplane? If yes which variant? Or is there any Airbus airplane out there of good quality?

Dear PMDG, I love thé realism or your products and the lengths you go to ensuring quality releases. I have a question relating to potential commercial use products. My question is simple, as a real world pilot simulator sessions can be pricey. Are PMDG going to release any of there products as commercial use only products? The wall street journal hinted at your goal to do that for airlines and pilots. Also RSR has mentioned commercial use before but no mention since of products that can be used in such a way. Hey everybody, I am ordering this computer tonight and I just wanted to know if it will run the PMDG Aircraft well (I am pretty sure it should and will). I am getting it from CyberPowerPC, total price 1501.00. Whats the news on the PMDG DC-6? Have not heard of it in months.

Hi all! I got an idea. when it is released (hopefully next week) the 777, we organize an event on ivao, with the new T7, departing from an airport at will (depending on the chosen company) and arriving in Frankfurt. For example, I choose the 'emirates, dubai departure and arrival in Frankfurt ... so, if we calculate more or less the time comes ... we will come to frankfurt all together in a time of 1 hour-30 min so as to have an app with app, tower, ground .... if you want to participate ... let's say that the 777 comes out on Wednesday morning hours Zulu, you can leave at noon and arrive in the evening ... who wants to participate and put the company that uses the route…

Does anyone know what liveries will become available for us to download on the PMDG website for the 777? I know Air New Zealand, Emirates, Korean Air, Air Canada, Delta, Air India, AerLogic and FedEx are part of it but anyone know anything more?

Don't the pilots have the master switch to locking the doors in the cockpit on the plane before takeoff and unlocking them before landing so doors can be opened? If so why haven't I noticed them before?

Hi folks, I am building home cockpit and using a 23" monitor for PFD and ND displays (in zoomed undocked way). I want to, similarly, create a new window (and undock it) with just the master caution gauge - the yellow button and mini display which is right next to it. I've tried various ways with creating new [WindowXX] section and gauge00 pointing to pmdg737_Main!MasterCaution gauge - to no avail... The window gets created and I can even undock it, but it is black inside. Can someone suggest what needs to be done? Thx!

Hi all. I don´t write to much here but i read every day this forum. I want to buy a tablet and a friend of mine is helping me in the task but the reason to open this topic is that i remember a youtube video where a passenger used an app on his tablet while flying onboard a 737. He saw a PFD and a ND on his tablet during the flight. The screens where in a boeing style and i was very impressed...do anyone know that app or knows what i am talking about??? Really thanks in advanced and excuse my english!!!! Bests.

I just want to thank Captain Randazzo and the entire PMDG team on an incredible job. I have had the 737NGX software since it was released but haven't started using it till lately. I have FTX Global with UTX and TrackIR 5 and EZDOK loaded. I am having a ball. It's incredible. We have come so far in this hobby thanks to you and your team and a host of other developers. But the realism your software brings to the sim world has no equal. I am building a full scale 737 from actual aircraft parts. But it will be a few years before it is operational. Im sorry if this may have been brought up somewhere else, i have experienced flickering textures using some of the liveries for the PMDG 747-400X in FSX I had virtual cockpit and tail flickering textures using the Cargolux livery downloaded via PMDGs website... Any ideas why?

Hi folk As we re only a week close to the release of the 777, i ve begun to search the right joystick settings for it. Currently im flying the NGX with the minimum joystick sesivity posible in order make smooth movements. i have a t.flight stick x from thrustmaster. Looking for the advices from betatesters or pmdg. thanks and congratulations to all of the pmdg team for im sure the great product.

I checked Frooglesim's Facebook a few minutes ago and apparently he was interviewed about PMDG by the Wall Street Journal. Here's the quote: "There comes a point where you look at this whole YouTube thing you've created, and the fallout from it and go "WoW!" Just did an interview with the Wall Street Journal about the 777." I hope to read the article.

I'm having a bit of trouble recently with my Logitech Extreme 3d pro Joystick. I Have the flaps mapped to buttons 5 & 3, and the Elevator trim settings on 4 & 6, while the D-pad controls camera views. Recently, I have noticed that buttons 3 -> 6 seem to control rudder and/or views, and when pressed, as well as their mapped commands, rendering the Z-rotation useless. It is really annoying me, as it basically makes FSX unplayable. Any ideas?

Hello fellow captains, There is something happening to me that wasn't before.. I do not understand why, but on start up, while getting everything ready for take off, my left engine ( always it) starts gaining thrust from 20 to max, then drops out and goes back up again.. As soon as it starts doing it, I have an engine fail sign and if I dont take off fast enough, I end up with a dead engine ... I follow my check lists as usual.. I really don't understand what's happening.. Any idea ?

Hello PMDG Staff, I had a quick question about the 777. I have a fairly new laptop with Windows 8 and I have read with some programs W8 is "different". In fact, some developers for FSX have a general policy of not supporting Windows 8. Currently I have W8 64 Bit. The only other area of concern for me is the processor. I have a Intel Core i5-3210M cpu @2,5 ghz. There is a 3.1 ghz turbo mode if needed. I was concerned because it is my belief that it is only a single core processor. All of this is on a Envy M6 Laptop. Will any of this be an issue for the 777 if I buy it. If so please let me know your thoughts. Thanks, An226 Austin Johnson
