Anyone know what causes this? There is stranget ext on my cockpit. Have no idea where it came from. I read where I may have to delete some add-on planes in my aircraft directory - especially the LongEZ - but I don't have this plane. I tried reinstalling the 757, but no luck. My program has been crashing with the WIN.CCP error all night when I try to switch planes from the cesna. Tried deleting all my .hst files in the aircraft folder. No luck. Thanks all.Chris

The America West Arizona, one of my favorites that I also did for Fly!2K way back when. This is an early preview, as there will be changes to the engine detail work, and the rudder. Livery will be cleaned up a bit.Delivery of all three America West aircraft pending some additonal nite livery work. Sorry for the delay.Pete

Just did the daytime models, need to work on the nite crams. This is just my first rendering. There are quite a few cosmetic adjustments to be made yet. Painting this aircraft is just a bit more complex than all the others. I got stuck at one point, but Pete bailed me out so I want to thank him publicly. Now I can get along with all the rest of my repaints once this one is mastered and all the new techniques are learned.Grant

Anyone,Is there a way to get the LATLON of published RNAV waypoints besides the terminal procedures booklets? I've found that the positions of many of these waypoints are not given in the NACO plates. Thanks in advance,

Attached is my first cut at a procedure file for London Stansted. Cut and paste into a file called EGSS.TXT in the PMDG folder. It's not without problems though and I'd be grateful for comments. Most of these lie with the intercept commands in the feeder routes. These are generating waypoints that are 3000+ miles south of the airport.Andrew Luck18 miles SW EGSH//---------- cut here ------------// EGSS - STANSTED// Andrew Luck// 4 Jun 2002FIXESFIX FAF05 ID (FAF) LATLON N 51 47.7022 E 0 5.9648FIX FAF23 ID (FAF) LATLON N 51 59.7215 E 0 24.0275FIX BKY070D10 COLOCATED BKY 70 10FIX BKY070D11 COLOCATED BKY 70 11FIX BKY078D16 COLOCATED BKY 78…

Hi,please see the following pictures showing 4 problems that I encountered on a flight yesterday. The problem descriptionis in the pictures. The autothrust problem occured again- maybe it's because I've switched off/on SPD mode?thanksMaltehttp://stud.fh-wedel.de/~wi3557/tmp/1.jpghttp://stud.fh-wedel.de/~wi3557/tmp/2.jpghttp://stud.fh-wedel.de/~wi3557/tmp/3.jpghttp://stud.fh-wedel.de/~wi3557/tmp/4.jpg

Sorry Grant, having massive email problems at the moment so I hope you take a look at this forum. My response to your email from last night -Grant,What you actually need to do is CRAM the RR engine files along with the livery and airframe files to generate a new tif file that you cut up your new livery and patse into. Here's what I did.Take the Day Livery and Day Airframe files from the RR folder and copy them to Fly!s Art folder. There are several TGA's missing from the kit that I've attached to this message. Place these into the Art folder too. Copy the 2 S3D files from the RR Models folder to the Models folder in Fly! Make one if there is no Models folder within Fl…

Not sure if I should ask this here or on the Fly General Forum. Figured I'll start here.I have been flying the B777 for a few weeks now (yes - I know I'm behind the times) and out of frustration with Fly!2 default ATC trying to land this big bird on tiny runways, I finally installed FlyScripts and C4TO. I followed the directions in both programs. Four out of four tries, C4TO (via FlyScripts) initialized. All four times I got some instructions back and forth with ATC. In all cases, Fly crashed to desktop at some point early on in the flight or on the ground before takeoff. I couldn't determine an exact cause. Once, I was turning onto RWY 5 at LSGG and boom, to desktop. Ano…

I'm having all sorts of email problems right now. My messages from yesterday didn't get sent either. Grant, as to your question on the cram, yes, you need to re-cram with the RR engine files to get a new RR engined 757 cram. You should have these two folders in the paintkit, PW and RR.There are 5 files missing from the paintkit that are needed by the editor to correctly cram the RR '57. They are, WINGBASE.TAG, WINGTIP.TGA, WINGTRAILINGEDGE.TGA, WINGGEARDOORINSIDE.TGA and WINDSHIELDWIPER.TGA. I copied the files from one of the PMDG crams and saved them as TGA's placing copies into the Day Airframe folder in the PW folder in the paintkit. You need to copy all of the fi…

Hello, all -This is not a topic I've seen discussed before: In older heavy aircraft like the B-29 and B-36, it was SOP to consume fuel from the inboard fuel tanks first. This procedure acted to relieve the bending moment on the wing main spar by distributing the remaining load away from mid-span,.I've noticed that fuel draws from all three tanks on the 757 and 777. Even with a maximum fuel load on the 777, some fuel remains in the wing tanks through a long flight. However, flying the 757 from PANC (Anchorage, AK) to KLAS (Las Vegas, NV), the wing tanks were reading zero before I landed.Question: Do the newer aircraft in the real world not follow the old inboard-out fue…

Hello,In a previous message, I said I had discovered a small issue with the Trim Settings (Jet Tech confirmed that). He said that normally 4 is neutral, but it is showed 8 for the neutral. But I would like to know the following : Can we equal the center of gravity (CG in the menues) and the % MAC ?For me it's not the same, and it's inaccurate to set the trim according to the CG...So, I would like to know if it's possible to develop a small utility which can tell us the REAL % MAC as a function of the load (cargo, passengers, fuel) ?ThanksMarcVarlamoff

Hi! I keep getting an Insufficient fuel message everytime I load up my 757 in Fly! 2. I load the fuel and everything and I enter the quantity that is displayed in the FMS for the estimated fuel onboard. Do I need to calculate the amount manually? because as soon as I load the fuel, the FMS displays the exact amount of fuel and I just need to click on the button next to total fuel to activate it. Even with that, Fly! 2 still sends me an error that there is insufficient fuel while I am climbing. What could be my mistake? Thanks,Teo

Hi! I've been going through the whole checklist until it's time to switch from the APU power to the engine generator power. When the engines are on and everything is fine running, the generator buttons for the engines have the OFF sign on then, even if I click on them to activate them. How can I solve this problem?Teo :-(

Hello,I have noted that others are having similar ILS problems ... butmine affect both the 757 and 777. I get no ILS Display whenlanding ... is this associated with the "memory leak" issue ?I have no problem when I reinstall the original 777 ... so I assume the problem is with one of the new dlls ... is anyoneelse having a similar problem ... is there a fix for this ...or will it be addressed on the next Fly II patch ...Regards,Virgil T. Hi PMDG 757 users,I would like to compare notes with you about some detail of the autopilot operation. When you turn the Flight Director on on the ground before takeoff, without arming any autopilot modes (so you are in TO-TO-FD mode) and then do the takeoff, rotation, etc and hit the CMD button when say at 400 ft AGL what default autopilot mode are you seeing ?. Are you seeing TO-TO or V/S-HDG HOLD ? This question came up on the 767PIC forum and some claim the basic ap mode on takeoff (with FD armed prior to takeoff) is TO-TO however I don't see it. I see only V/S & HDG HOLD. In other words TO-TO seems to be the FD mode only, not CMD mode.Anyone including developers c…
