The Fuel Load Planning Chart on pg 2:7 in the manual says in bold letters above the chart that the table represents M.82 Cruise at Optimum altitude.Above this in the printed pragraphs, it says that the table is based on the following speed schedule:Cruise: M.81 at Optimum Altitude for aircraft weight. Are these contrary ideas? Is it a typo? I am not sure if this is a table for M.81 or M.82 for cruise. Can somone help me?Thanks,Chris

Hi,I got Fly 2 a few months ago and it refused to run on my WinXP machine... After seeing this PMDG 757 that's come out, I want to try again at getting it to work. What are the exact steps I should take to get it working glitch free? Before there were all sorts of graphical glitches and the sim crashed constantly. Also, just as with FS I'm sure there's a bunch of free Fly 2 utility stuff that everyone uses - what should I get to enhance it?I really want to make sure I can get the sim running before I buy the 757...EDIT:Oh yeah my system specs:AMD Athlon 1.4 GhzSoyo Dragon Mobo512MB DDRGainward GF3WinXPThanks!Ryan

I would like to congratulate you for your B757 aircraft. It is not an easy airplane to fly manualy, especialy whenyou decelerate and add flaps and gear preparing for landing. You must think ahead to compenasate for any pitch changesusing the correct amount of trim. :)I still have some difficulty on final approach, while trying to stabilize airspeed and verical speed. Usualy there is one Go Around :-shy.One of the the things that I enjoy most is the take-offand landing rollout quality. I realy "feel" that I'm acceletating and decelerating at the proper amount ofacceleration or deceleration. And if i select carefullythe takeoff thrust, then I enjoy it very much. At this poin…

Just reread the fuel planning section of the manual:When is it appropriate to put some of your fuel in the center fuel tank? What percentage of the total fuel should go in the center tank?Does the center tank have to be empty upon landing? How do you know how much fuel to add in the "taxi fuel" column on the Fuel Planning Schematic (page 2-6 of the manual)?ThanksChris Catalano

This question is with regards to the Fly2K (not Fly2) 757. I noticed that the autopilot bank selector cannot be changed and the autopilot seem to limit turns to ~17 degrees bank (which becomes a small problem when flying around 240 knots). Is there a workaround or key command to change the bank selector on the autopilot? I checked the FAQ on the website and the docs don't mention anything (if so please direct me to the page). Robert

Gentlemen:Do we have a FAQ or any hard do's and dont's regarding ensuring a level of continuous stability for the Fly!II/PMDG 757 add-on combination?I ask this because just yesterday my well-running-since-original-installation PMDG 757 lost its autothrottle capability. It just stopped working. I noticed that on climbout with VNAV engaged, the airspeed never reached its target 300 knots (as set and as indicated by the airspeed bug). Then, with only autothrottle speed enabled (i.e. VNAV, FLCH, V/S extinguished), I was unable to obtain the desired/set target speed. [As a sidebar: I experimented a bit and determined that the autothrottle behaved as if the speed target was…

Below is the error message I receive when specifying CYYZ as the departure airport. The file in question is CYYZ.TXTLine 39 referred to in the error message is as follows:SID DOUG1.33R RNW 33R ONHDG INTERCEPT 343 NAVAID YYZ FIX MALTN 5000Current entries in Fly II's database include Rnw 33R and VOR YYZ. I created FIX MALTN as follows:FIX MALTN LATLON N 43 43.02 W 79 40.26On the surface it seems like a straightforward SID line. What error causes the FMC to cough it up?Thanks,Alan

I think the question everyone in the FlyII comunity is asking ISare the member's of the PMDG team thinking in the same way as Peter Sidoli and his team.Do you have the same outlook regarding the the amount of downloads for FLYII compared with FS2002 products, in view of the time and effort spent creating Aircraft and Scenery for FLY compared with FS2002.Since this must also be a commercial consideration for PMDG is there a remote chance that we may also see PMDG go over to FS2002 products only.I sincerly hope not. Rob / Lefteris / PMDG Team members,Please, PLEASE, post your intentions with regards to the TB-9 for FlyII. Is this aircraft going to be released? If not for FlyII is there any possibility of it being released for FS2K2?I will definitely buy if it is released (doesn't matter which sim). I took my primary (PPL) training on a TB-10, even though the TB-10 is a bit more complex (bigger engine, constant speed prop, etc.) it would be a joy to fly.I'm sure there are MANY others (Fly! simmers) waiting for this wonderful aircraft.Regards,Bob Lyddy

When I first ran my PMDG 757, I noted that the autothrottle response was really sluggish; the aircraft would establish a high thrust rate (about 1.50 EPR) and maintain that setting until red-line speed. It would then set about 1.10 EPR, and airspeed would decay to about 250 KIAS. The system would then repeat the sequence. The speed variance chit on the EADI just went like a very slow game of "Pong". I did however have spoiler deployment and braking action for a rejected takeoff or a landing.I followed the thread with Chris Catalano's autothrottle difficulties, and accordingly re-installed the 757. I now have responsive autothrottles. I have no autobraking whatsoever…

All,Since I have been using Fly!II, I've noticed that the brakes have minimal effect. I mainly fly the 757, so I assumed that it was because I was stopping 80 tons, but in recent flights with the ROTW Warrior, I find that I can't do a pre-flight run up because the parking brakes don't have the "grab" required to keep the plane stationary at 2,000 RPMs. (Seems to work fine with the C172.) Now, I'm told by another pilot at AWVA that his (manual) brakes work very well on the 757, which leads me to wonder if there's a setting somewhere that I should check to "stiffen" the brakes.Anybody know of anything?

Very few aircraft add-ons come with adequate landing view. The landing view not only offers best perspective during landing (numerous photos on airliners.net) it allows you to complete approaches to the minimums that otherwise would have been missed. The pics here (this landing view was 'hacked' by some smart 767PIC enthusiast) demonstrate what I mean:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID8/6210.htmlThe realism of the landing view for both VFR & IFR flying is so intoxicating ... I can't seem to bring myself to use anything else.Michael J.

Hi Rob/Lefteris/PMDG,I'm receiving the listed FMC exception error when I attempt to load (I clicked on the Load LSK button on the RTE 1 page) an FSBuild generated flight plan. Up to this point I've never had a problem loading a FSBuild generated flight plan.I was using the Continental B757. My system is fully patched accoridng to the B757 install instructions.FMC Exception caught in DLLMouseClick - Control id 8Any ideas?Bob Lyddy

When I turned on the red light switch in the overhead panel the blinking light appeared in front of the plane windshield and also when you pan the cockpit camera to your left or right you can also see two blinking green and red lights I which I think comes from the wing tip of the aircraft.Any fix for this?Thank you chris salviejorpll

I have been beating my brains against a wall trying to figure out what is wrong with my SID syntax. This is the departure instruction I want to create a SID for:"Fly heading 147 until you reach 4 DME from navaid YTP then fly heading 180 until you reach 6.5 DME from navaid YTP at which point you should be at 2300 feet then fly heading 180 until you reach 9.2 DME from navaid YTP at which point you should be at 3000 feet."This is the SID that the FMC is rejecting:SID PEAR7.15R RNW 15R HDG 147 UNTIL 4 NAVAID YTP HDG 180 UNTIL 6.5 NAVAID YTP 2300 HDG 180 UNTIL 9.2 NAVAID YTP 3000Can you see any syntax erros? The FMC is complaining about the 2300 and the 3000.Alan

I just recently acquired Fly II for PC (being a former Fly!2K Mac user -- it's quite a leap, some good and some not-so-good). Anyway, after getting this, one of the first things I did was to D/L the PMDG 777 and wanted to take a quick flight.Using the same logic that consisted in the PMDG 767/757 for Fly!2K, if I set the flight plan within Fly! then, once in the aircraft, set the [switches] to "WPT" and I could use my LNAV (instead of guessing where I'm going). When I try to do this in the 777, it's not reading the flight plan that Fly! created. Do I "have" to use the FMC in order for this to work???Also, I noticed on approach, when I clicked on the "APP" button, it wa…

Rob, Lefteris, Anthony & all at PMDGJust a minor quirk...the IDENT page on the FMC for the Continental 757 shows "Engines: PW 2037" still. The exterior shots...those nacelles...look great!

Hi, When I swap .wav files, they do not play, even though they are named correctly. Why is this. For example, I swapped the autopilot disconect file with another recording, and named it just like PMDGs one and swapped it, it didn't play.Thanksricpsthis is the 757

I am learning to fly the 777-200. I've noticed that the ground rumble sounds are nearly non-existent. I noted almost no indication that my gear left the ground at takeoff, and when I decended into the runway at final approach, I thought I was hovering over the ground at idle throttle for some time b/f I switched to exterior view and confirmed I had safely settled into the the ground effect. Is this a bug? I'm using version 1.2 of the Fly!2 777-200 IGW.-DK----Fly! II v230Dell 8200 P4/1.8G, 512MB RAM, Nvidia GF4 Ti4600 v28.83, WinXP Home Edition.CH Pro Pedals and Yoke USB.

Hi!! I've been getting a WINRUN.CPP error everytime I start using Fly! 2. Before it was at startup but I found out that by removing the default.key file from the system folder fixed it. Now, I'm having a different problem. The program doesn't crash until I actually takeoff and fly for a while. I've been trying to fly from Panama to Miami on the PMDG 757 but everytime I'm almost reaching cruise altitude, Fly! 2 sends me this error! I don't know what to do, if to reinstall everything again or what. What can I do?? Has anyone of you experienced something similar? It's really stressing cause I can't fly anywhere for more than a half hour without having Fly! 2 crash. Please hel…

I read an article today in Computor Pilot Magazine which says that the render.ini that comes with the Greek airports is supposed to speed up frame rates. In fact it says that some people have bought the addon just for this new .ini file. I love the pictures of the Greek airports, but would not likely spend a great deal of time flying in Greece since I do most of my simming in the US. Can anyone tell me if the new render.ini made a great diffence in the overall performance of Fly2?ThanksChris CatalanoDell Dimension XPS T600Pentium III 600mz384 mg physical RamELSA Gladiac Ultra Video Card (G Force Compatible) (64 Meg Ram - latest drivers)Windows 98DirectX 8aForce Feedbac…

I'm sure this question has already been answered somewhere, but anyway. When can we expect a fix for the landing gear appearing to be out when it is night in Fly!2? It's kinda annoying. Thanks,Jeff
