NG fans,Here's some progress I made on the panels. The overhead panel and throttle console are complete now.(note- I still haven't modeled the upper window sections correctly)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/public/PMDG_737NG_12.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/public/PMDG_737NG_13.jpg

  4. Captains! We are quite overwhelmed by the sincere nature of your response to our question regarding the 737NG! It should not come as a surprise to us that we were seeking information specifically about the visual model- and received information on nearly every wish you could have for this product!I have printed the posts to the thread and combed through them in detail. Many of the requests are being looked into- and many others are already on our list of inclusions....There are a few that are a bit beyond the scope of this project just yet- but you have given us some ideas. ;-)The PMDG team will be reviewing this list in detail- and I'm sure we are going to have some qu…

  5. Hi everyone,Yesterday, I tried to reinstall Fly! and the famous PMDG 767. Two years ago, when Fly! was still on my hard disk, I succeeded in installing the "1.2 version patch" for PMDG 767. Yesterday, the patch didn't work : when I ran the executable, I got a message like "The version was not valid ... PMDG767base.epd". I tried to install this patch several times but I still had the same message.I installed the SDK patch 1.0.88. I have Windows XP Pro. When the patch worked 2 years ago, I had Windows 98 SE.> Could you help me, please ?Best Regards,;-)Damien BRUNET (LFQQ)e-mail : [email protected], L'Univers de Damien BRUNEThttp://www.udb.fr.st/

  6. Good Afternoon! As promised on Friday, I will be making a series of announcements regarding the future business plan of PMDG! During the past few months, all of us at PMDG have begun the process of shifting our development focus from our previous product lines for FLY!/FLY!II toward the more broadly accepted platform of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.As this shift has taken place, we have been heavily tasked with research, development and transporting existing code into a new simulation environment that promises to provide a new and interesting series of development possibilities for the entire PMDG team!Previously, we have announced two minor projects that are underway …

As per the manual, I set the flight plan, etc. in the FMC. Before commensing the takeoff roll, I hit the VNAV button to arm the VNAV profile for autopilot. After bringing the throttles to about EPR 1.1, I hit the EPR button to engage the autothrottles. I then complete the takeoff roll and after leaving the ground, hit the A/P button to engage the autopilot. At this point, though, the plan hovers just over the ground at only about 1K feet with no ascent for about 20-30 seconds. It seems like the climb profile doesn't kick in until after this time. Because I retract the gear, I get "too low, pull up" warnings.I'm using the Fly flight-planner to create the flightplan. So embe…

Does anybody know which updates are neccessary for Fly! II to use the PMDG 757 as I have a German Fly! II - version ("erweiterte deutsche Version mit extra Szenarien CD")? I could not find ANY indication of the version-number of my Fly! II - simulator which I bought recently (very cheap) and have only installed today. I understand that I CANNOT use the "complete patch" to version 210, but do I have to use all updates "FlyIIFeatureUpdate1.zip" to "FlyIIFeatureUpdate4.zip" or ONLY THE LAST ONE??? I already downloaded the 757 but do not dare to install it at the moment. I sent an email to www.take2.de about this but did not get a reply until now. Many thanks,Walter

Greetings, Captains! The following news items from PMDG may be of interest to you!Upon completion of the 757 Airliner Series for FLY!II, we made a decision to move away from FLY!II development and toward the more popular and accepted platform of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002!Nearly every member of the PMDG team has, at one point or another developed products for Microsoft's product line, and in spite of our focus on the FLY! franchise during the past three years we are very excited to be involved in development of products for MSFS once again! As we have adjusted our business plan to reflect the change in the market demand, we have had to make some decisions regarding the…

Greetings, Captains! It is with mixed emotions that I announce the departure of Chris Wallace from the PMDG team!Chris joined PMDG in early 2001 as a key developer for the PMDG General Aviation Product Line for FLY!II. Chris headed up the development of the SkyArrow, was beginning to lead development of the TB-9, and in his spare time provided some assistance with the finaly stages of the 757 development cycle earlier this year.Earlier in 2002, Chris informed me that he would most likely be bowing out of significant simulation related development during the summer as a result of the expected arrival of a new baby! This summer, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace took delivery of a brand …

Greetings, Captains!Lately I have been in the habit of only stopping by to read the forum about once per week, as I have been consumed with other tasks related to the airline, and to providing direction to some major changes at PMDG.Firstly, let me apologize for not taking the time to answer many posts, but I assure you that the silence was intentional, as we have been in the process of completely re-writing the business plan/model for PMDG.During the weekend (most likely on Saturday morning/afternoon) I will be releasing a series of announcements that will cover a number of topics.1) New business plan at PMDG.2) Staffing Changes at PMDG.3) Updated MSFS Products list.4) U…

Hi, I have a quick question about the SID and STAR converter. Everytime I run it and do the first step, which is the path selection for my PIC info to be converted, I click the appropriate path where my sid and star files are located and when I hit next, I get a runtime error # 76 which says ---- Path not found and it's really making me mad, anyway that's my problem. If someone could help me I would be grateful. Thanks,JeffLas Vegas, NV

Totally delighted with the 777 in my FLY!2K.I load the flightplan, (which I've generated and saved in FLY) in the FMC, activate and execute, and take off. I point the plane, with the AP HDG select, towards the desired flight path by using the vector map as a reference. When the plane hits the desired path at a shallow angle, I press LNAV but nothing happens. If anything , the plane starts turning away from the flight path. Not even the armed LNAV message comes on.What am I missing here?Happy but frustrated...Eytan Ornstein

I've got a problem with my 757 that I don't believe I've seen posted elsewhere. When taxiing for takeoff to KLAS runway 25 R or L, the sim locks up tighter than a drum trying to turn through heading 097 or 098. On certain occasions arriving at KLAS, the sim has even locked up in flight, e.g. flying the Skebr1 arrival to KLAS 25R, on about the same bearing. Mostly the problem crops up on the ground however. Given the layout of McCarran Int'l, a turn through these headings is unavoidable.I've found I can sometimes force the A/C through this 'bearing barrier' by taxiing at higher than desirable speeds and making the turns very hard, but my R/W training rebels at treating t…

  21. Two questions:1 - When reducing throttles to zero, I often hear a "jumpy" sound in the engines... as if they are spooling down and then spooling up-and-down again quickly. Is this an accurate representation of what would happen in a real plane if one was to move the throttles to zero rapidly?2 - In the B777, one can program in (actually, its nearly automated) to the FMC the flap retraction schedule after takeoff or the flap extention schedule on approach based on aircraft weight. The result is that the flap schedule will be displayed on the HSI. I couldn't figure out how to do this on the B757. Is this possible? Or must one remember the schedule printed on the cards and r…

With all of the news lately, this issue is one that seems to be forgotten. Before the release of the 757, there was talk of an upgrade that would bring some of the new plane's functionality (especially FMC functionality) to the "triple 7". Has this been cancelled as well, or do you still forsee completing this upgrade at some point? I understand that you are not a charity and that the time you have to spend on projects that will not generate revenue is very limited. Considering the amount of time you put into creating these projects however, it would certainly be a nice farewell to the Fly!II community. Both the 757 and the 777 are fantastic accomplishments, and I th…
