Good Morning!Since showing our latest round of images, I have been literally overrun with requests for beta testing. ;-)So that everyone understands how we assemble our beta team, I thought I would post some information here!During the course of doing business, each of us at PMDG have come to know quite a few people in the community. We have also had a number of folks come to our attention through their contribution to the community or specific expertise in the aviation and/or simulation field. We are in the process of reviewing the list of names we have assembled and are preparing to offer invitations to a number of folks. Some we know- some we dont....As we assemble t…

Greetings all. My name is Boyd and I fly for WestWind VA. In real life, I'm a security manager for Continental. As a hobby, I exclusively fly the DreamFleet 737...several hundred hours in fact. In my quest for realism, I began the enormous task of researching how the early 737s operate. My research included studying manuals, communicating with real pilots on the web, and some 737NG sim time. The result of all this was my DF737 Checklist. 14 pages in all. I am quite proud of it's thoroughness. The pmDG 737NG has really caught my interest and I think I might just give it a try when it's released. Several of the specifics mentioned in the FAQs and the website are q…

The 757/777 tax the video card when I am using the dynamic scenery option. Most models are ok except the pmdg's ones: they require additional 1024 slots, which I don't have. Is there a way to reduce their external texture or to have fly2 not call them ? thanks, and hope you're having fun with the 737.tony

I will keep this brief. I wanted to express my feelings of Richard Harvey to the AVSIM PMDG flight simulation community.Let us all take a silent moment to recongize Richard Harvey's profound impact on the flight simulation world, as well as the most pasionate flight simulator developer that I can recall. As Richard Harvey's "Hero has fallen" Banner has reached the bottom of the pile, let us not forget how he has positively effected our lives. When I first saw the very very alpha screen shots of FLY! many years ago, I said to myself, "This new sim is going to raise the benchmark profoundly in the flight simutor world." FLY! did just, what Falcon 4.0 has done to the fighter…

Dear PMDG, As we have seen many views from the up comming product, we have not seen anything dealing with what IMO is the heart of the 737, that is the FMC. Only 2 questions here if possible to answer.1] Will the FMC contain Rounded Legs/DME ARCs like the real FMC {we cannot add DMEs/Rounded Legs, only choose them if they are present for a particular route}.2] If a route approach contains a Procedure Turn, will the FMC's Legs page show this information/fly it etc?Best Wishes, Randy J. About a month ago, I posted a question regarding the 777 ILS tuner. I am referencing the link in the Fly!2 forum here: http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rumID14&om=2869 (I also asked this in the PMDG forum at http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID32/597.html but didn't get any replies).I am still unable to get the ILS guides to work. I have posted several screenshots here. I am hoping PMDG can help me figure this out.A few things about my system not in my signature below.1 - I am using ROTW's P51, PA-19, B707 and PA-28.2 - I have C4TO and Wind's Aloft installed.3 - I own and have the 757 installed4 - As far as I know, I have no other aircraft or extensions …

Will the 2D panel view also show part of the overhead and the support bar between the two front windows? Just having the main 2D panel and nothing else seems a bit unrealistic. Thanks

Looking at your screenshots of the flight deck I would like to make a small request? The autopilot windows have a black background with blue digits. Is it possible to have a light blue background with dark blue digits.Look at this pic: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/220851/L/Do you notice how the backlit panel has light orange windows with dark orange digits? Could you do this (only in blue).I think that the most important thing in a sim is to make it as imersive as possible by creating a realistic environment and this would add just that little bit more realism. I don't think it would be too much work would it? Thanks.Rici

Good Afternoon! Here are a few pictures of our 737 visual model. Specifically- I'm showing you some of the detail contained in the engines. Individual fan blades, pressure and temperature probes, texture detail to the cowling lip, intakes, fans and fan hubs.Note that the airplane isn't finished being shaped, tweaked and textured- but it is getting close! ;-)You can see a few details of other portions of the airplane in these images as well.... Ignore the fuselage/wing texturing- this model doesn't have final textures on that part of the airplane.....http://www.precisionmanuals.com/public/enginepic.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/public/enginepic2.jpghttp://www.preci…

Hi,will the 737NG have the IRS modelled?Looking at the latest screenshots of the overhead, there was no IRS on the panel.ThanksMark

Hi!Looking forward for your NG, realy looks promising. I know from your FLY work that the systems will be good, question is, how good ;)The flightdirector on your pre-beta shots show the "inverted V" style, personaly I prefer the cross-style, will this be a user option? Also, engine instruments seems to be in the SW fashion, I know you will give us the NG style as well, am I right? :)Keep them pics coming!BTW; I figure SAS will be in your launch package... Today SAS released their new low price airline, Snowflake, corny name, but a intresting livery!http://www.flysnowflake.com/snowflake/offers.aspBest regardsJonas Lundhwww.scandva.org

Hi ChapsWonder if anyone can shed light on a little problem I have with the Route mode of the FMC (777 Fly!2).When I click on the Request saved route option I get a list of flight plans. Sometimes the flight plan I want is on the second or third page of this menu. Trouble is, when I click "next page" the menu reverts back to the route page. Same happens if I press "prev page"The only way I can get the saved route I want is to delete the routes I can see until the one I'm after comes on screen.I have patched correctly upto v240.Many thanks for any assistance.
