Hey folks!I'm really looking forward to the 737NG!I've noticed that a few of the "newest" fs products have working weather radars. Will the 737NG have that?

This was post in the main MSFS forum, but I wanted to ask Robert and any other pilots who hang out here whether it is harder to land in Microsoft's world than in the real one. I ask because I just can't seem to master lining up in the sim, and I fly my computer a lot! I've gotten much better at getting the plane near the landing area from a distance perspective - but line up is still a real pain. My guess is that there is a lot that the sim simply can't duplicate that make the job in some ways more difficult on the computer screen than with a real plane strapped to your butt. 1. Hi Folks, I know it's New Years Eve but I am impatient to see my PMDG 757-200 that I purchased on Sunday. Here is the problem: The download went with no problems, the file is PMDG757_214.Zip, the size is 24,164KB, My operating system is Windows XP Home Edition so I am using the Zipped File Extraction program that comes with it. I double click on the zipped file & a window opens showing me the 757base214readme.txt & PMDG_757base214.exe files. When I tell it to Extract All I get the Compressed (Zipped) File Wizard & it asks me to accept the directory it has chosen to extract the files to. I accept & it starts to extract the files. The bar graph at the bottom…

PMDG:I have read your posts regarding the status of any future releases of the 777 or 757 aircraft. Despite this, now that Rich and the Beta team have released the new product, do you have any plans to adjust the final 757 release to eliminate this apparent "bug"? See posts in general forum... http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID14/2411.html. We appreciate your "gift", even though we all realize you're working on the 737NG for FS2002.Thanks. Just sent the first repaint to include night lights to the AVSIM server. At 3.4MBs, she's a hefty download. I'll update all of my previous 757 repaints with lights and upload as soon as I finish them. The first will be Nortwest Airlines, "The Richard Harvey". Screenshots of Tango 01 are over on the main Fly! forum.Pete

Hi,I have been fighting with the FMC to get VNAV active the last couple days and I have finally decided to ask for help. I have gotten the LNAV to work perfectly, programmed routes and all. Can anyone lay out the basic 1.2.3.4 steps of what I need to accomplish to get VNAV working. So far I've tried the following:(1) Configure route and LNAV(2) Set weights in PERF INIT(3) Set flaps and confirm flap speeds with three LSKs(4) Set cruise altitude to optimum(5) What's left to do?I've been hunting continuosly thorugh the manual and it seems like I have accomplished everything I can find. Help.-Matt

I just recently acquired Fly!2K for PC and am enjoying it on a much faster computer than my iMac (tho it was great at the time). I loaded my 757/767 from the Mac platform over to the PC platform since they're no longer offered on the PMDG website -- and they worked!!! I downloaded the most recent patches which offer the Autothrottle/ AutoBrake functionality. I can get the Autothrottle to work on the 757 but for some reason it doesn't on the 767 --- and the AutoBrakes don't work on either, tho I can move the dial (which before the "update" I wasn't able to).Has anyone experienced anything like this way long ago when these patches were first introduced? Yes, I realise th…

Here is a 737 nav display from one of our 737NG's, hopefully the sim version will look something like this:1)I have a route entered from KBFI to KYKM using the Quite 1 departure.2)I have moved the display between the two FMC's3)you can see its in T/A (traffic alert ) only for tcas4)there are a few targets dispyed on tcas5)I have a fix entered as KSEA ,with the runway headings 340 and 1606)And I have the terrain mode turned on.7)Adf tuned to 1490, a good radio station to listen to while working in the cockpit.

Hi there I am new to this forum and am eagerly awaiting the 737NG, it looks like from all the comments and pictures posted that it could be a ground-breaking add-on. one question i do have is with regard to the functinality of all the systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc) will they actually operate as in real life? by this I mean when u want a hydraulics failure will turning off the hydraulics switches actuall prevent u from operating the control surfaces, etc. I find that on most of the payware add-ons the switches for the most part are only eye candy and while they click on and off they will not cause a failureif u switch them off- the only that truly replicates systems f…
