Hello all,First I have to say I'm just floored by the PMDG products. If they cook like they create airliners I'll eat their burned food. I had almost completely switched to the *other* flight sim but the PMDG 757 got me hooked on FLY 2 again. No flame intended, I'm truly multi-simual. Is that a word?Anyway... I've got the FMC to do everything just great. I take off, VNAV/LNAV takes over, I cruise along and then..... The problem is the descent doesn't work as cleanly as I'd like it to. The default TOD picked by the FMC causes the aircraft to overspeed without the constant attention with the airbrake. If I do an earlier descent by selecting an altitude with the MCP, …

Why not consider joining a virtual airline?America West Virtual Airlines operations are cordinated by a professional dispatcher...you can't beat the realism. No, you don't have to fly smaller planes and "work up to" the 757. Take a look: [www.awva.net]

I've posted some shots of the 757 over at the Norwegian flightsim forums, and there is someone who says that the cockpit windows are too high. There should be a step down from the cabin to the cockpit. So I went over to see some real pics of the 757,and there seems to be something in it.The cockpit on the PMDG 757 are higher than it is on the real aircraft.Could someone please enlighten me on this issue.....I'm defending Fly2 and the PMDG products on my neck here :)here are the PMDG 757http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3cfaf6132f5d6804.jpgAnd here are the real..http://www.airliners.net/photos/small/2/1/7/183712.jpgAnd a drawinghttp://members.chello.se/slash/757_view.gi…

All,Been paying close attention to things around the cockpit lately (OK, always) and I notice that the autobrakes cut out when the thrust reversers are deployed, and kick back in when the thrust reversers are retracted. I also notice that manual application of the brakes terminates the autobrake sequence. Is this correct?

Howdy all. For the Fly2 PMDG 757/777 aircraft DP and STAR creation has lagged far behind what is available for the 767 PIC sim so I thought I'd fix that. I have just uploaded a 767 PIC to PMDG 757/777 DPs/STAR converter (DPSTARConvert.zip). My converter will allow you to add to the PMDG FMC database all the currently and future available DPs and STARs that were designed for the 767 PIC sim (currently more than 700 airports). If you can't wait for it to show up here you may download it from my web site at flightassist.tripod.com/index.htm. Happy flying.Terry

Hi, I have a few questions about the 757. Brillient though it is I think a few things may need correcting?1) I know their is an issue with the auto throttle, with me the autothrottle is too jumpy it flucualtes wildly /- 10Kts from the target speed. Is this a known issue? Sorry if it is.2)I should have made a note of the error I will next time but: I flew a couple of autolands at Frankfurt just to practice but the next day I got a message that went something like: nd: fmc has the ILS tuned but cannot locate the key. This should NOT happen! (and I couldn't get the ILS even though it was tuned. It WAS working though???3) Minor issue- every time you go back into the cockpit …

Hi,I have a .wav file on my computer that calls out 'radio altimeter' when reaching 2500ft instead of 'twenty five hundred.' This is used by some airlines such as BA. I am using this in the 757 (and dreamfleets 737 too).I was wondering how I would make it publicly available for download (it would take about 20 sec!) How would I upload it to the avsim library/PMDGs site? Do I have to ask permission from PMDG?ThanksRic

For you RR engined fans, you've paitently waited for the release of the Rolls Royce engined '57 and your wait is almost over. I've successfully crammed the RR engine files for the repaint and now I'll start on AmericaWest, Britannia Airways, the new Monarch Airways and the old USAir repaints. Grant Milikin is doing Ameriacan Airlines and the new USAir liveries among others. Won't be long now.Pete

Can someone explain the function of the 757 VOR tuning control. When I try to manually tune a frequency and a radial, nothing seems to happen. I understand that the system provides for automatic tuning, but there are occasions when a station and radial need to be set manually. Thanks,Steve

For those that don't already know about it, I have a SID/STAR editor for the PMDG 757/777 aircraft available at flightassist.tripod.com/index.htm.I am also, very shortly, going to release a SID/STAR converter. It will convert 767 PIC SIDs and STARs into the PMDG 757/777 format. This will provide a database of over 700 airports with SIDs and STARs.Happy designingTerry

For some unknown reason, when using the 757 in Fly 2, the program will periodocally minimize down to the task bar on my computor. I can then maximize the window back into the open position & resume flying. This will happen even when I have not pressed a single key or botton. Strange! Anyone notice this?Chris Catalano
