Hi all,I've just had a complete revelation! As a proud PMDG owner, I've been lurking around this forum for quite a while and reading with deep envy those post from those of you who have enough computing power to actually fly the thing, instead of staggering around the sky like I have recently been doing. In the end, I took the plunge and decided to build myself a totally new system, just to fly this aircraft (if I'm honest!). My old one was an Athlon 1.2/Geforce2/484mb RAM - flyable, but no VC and the virtual cabin was a definite no-go area.Last Saturday night, I screwed my new system together:AMD XP 3000+ 400mhz FSBGigabyte 7N00E-L Mobo512 mb DDR RAM80gb HDDDVD RAM burnerG…

Hello,I recently purchased the 737NG v1.3 and I'm extremely happy with it! Thanks for such a great product!Yesterday I flew from LSZH to EDDM, and then I wanted to fly from EDDM to EDDL. After arriving at EDDM, I started the APU, shut down the engines, and then performed the normal procedures as if I started a new flight, i.e. cockpit preparation etc. However, when I got to programming the FMC, it didn't work. When trying to enter a new route, the FMC displayed "PROGRAM ERROR". I couldn't find a way to clear the FMC. I then reloaded the aircraft from the aircraft menu in order to start from scratch again. Everything worked fine, except I couldn't control the no. 2 engine!…

Hey guys,I'm new here, so my issue has probably been talked about before. When I extend the speedbrakes (spoilers) in the air and push the button again to retract them, they don't retract. Is it a bug or a faulty installation from my side? Hope you can help me. PMDG's 737NG RULES!!! Without a doubt the best addon ever!Best regardsStephenFly now! Work later...www.jetfighters.dk

I have read the draft, but do not understand what this means: Select the NG Tutorial Default situation. Where do I find this in FS9 ? I have no problem with placing a cold and dark 737 700 2D at KTNT, but that is not what the manuscript says. What is it here that I don't understand- please ????Ole

I was wondering how the real aircraft draws the information on the displays. How do they achieve the fluid and "no-jaggies" display? Is it more like a TV instead of a computer display?/Mikkel

Hello, here's the data for EDDV SID WRB2F:SID WRB2F RNW 27L KEEP TRK UNTIL 600 NAVAID DV202 NAVAID DV257 NAVAID TOLTA NAVAID WRBHere's the route EDDV-EDDF:WRB2F TOLTA T154 FTZ T152 GED GED1WAs you can see, the SID should only be flown until TOLTA, where Airway T154 is joined. Trying to program this route in the FMC, I selected the SID and STAR on the DEP/ARR page, then went to the route page where the display wasVIA TO WRB2F WRB.I typed TOLTA in the input line and pressed the 1R button, hoping the line would change toVIA TO WRB2F TOLTA.The line changed alright, but a discontinuity was inserted afterwards, and I could not remove the discontinuity, no matter how hard …

Hi guys,Are there any guidelines for what altitude to fly at in a flight plan (other than the odd thousands for eastern headings and even thousands for western headings).I ask this because sometimes I like to do short hops (less than 100 miles) in the 737NG (I know, not realistic). Sometimes I don't have time for a full blown flight and just want to enjoy the NG for a half hour or so. If you plan too high I imagine you'll be initiating descent as soon as you get to top of climb....Thanks for any help.

Hi Guys, working on the tutorial, in the first flight the trainee never touches the FMC, but sets V speeds manually. I've run into the following problems:Setting the bugs for V1 and VR work correctly, but there's no callout as those speeds are reached (no biggy).Once in flight, I make a big circuit at 2500 feet and attempt to set Vref manually - no luck. On the approach the FMC alert light comes on cause it's not set.Can you check this functionality? If Vref setting doesn't work, I can teach around it. But if it does work, I need to know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi everyone!Just thought I should share this with everyone who doesn't already know about it. I downloaded a water texture add-on the other day here on AVSIM and included in the package was a tip about another product - a freeware "voice commander" program. I've now checked it out and tried it with FS and it works absolutly great!! Just imagine to be able to almost "speak for real" to the ATC instead of pressing different buttons and to be able to simply call out "Gear up" to raise your gear....or say "look right" to actually look right out of the cockpit...Personally I think this is one of the absolutly most amazing freeware programs I've seen in quite some time and I su…

I think y'all may find this a bit humorous.I was on final RWY 28L at KLAX, when my glass cockpit completely failed. What makes it interesting is that I didn't set it up for emergencies. This was just a freak MSFS incident. Along with a very understanding LAX CTR (who was handling Approach and Tower duties for LAX), I was able to land without much of a fuss. Never a dull moment, this computer-based simulator (and this coming from a chap who used to fly for a living) ;)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/59950.jpg
