After about 2 week of owning the 737-600 and 700 and learing how to use the FMC, I was finally figured out how to use the FMC on these planes. My first real flight was with the 737-600 (in a SAS livery) from Dusseldorf (EDDM)to Kastrup (EKCH). The plane handled great, landed at Kastrup in rain and visibility of about 4 to 5 miles.Thanks for all those tutorials and the help on this forum. :-)Joseph Feleppa

Have Ver 1.3. I entered a flight KSEA-KDEN enroute I had the wind pretty much directly behind me and I was in VNAV LNAV. The track started to follow right of the flight path. after a little bit 200 nm or so I was really off track. So I disconnected LNAV and then placed it back on. I got a message not on intercept heading. I should mention I have not flown much since the Large reinstall of SU-2 (ver 1.2). I had flown many flights with the previous version never having run into this problem. Second problem I have while entering a real world flight plan from FBO web which I have done many times I was trying to put in Jet way to follow and it kept coming up as invalid entry. …

How do you open the cargo doors on this plane? I try Shift-E+2 but that never works. I also tried to change the key assigments but that didn't work either. Is there a switch in the cockpit that I don't know about to open the cargo doors?Joseph Feleppa

Hello everyone. I really like the US Airways paint but would prefer it on the -600. Is there a way of cutting and pasting the -700 repaint onto the -600 or would I have to start from scratch...I have tried but haven't had much luck except for the engines and tail...the fusleage is obviously a different size and the two do not match up. I haven't bought the PMDG 737 because I'm sure that my frame rates will be absolutely unflyable [and I can't justify spending any money upgrading]. Will the PMDG B1900 (or future express releases?) be just as taxing on system performance as I've heard about the 737? I don't expect my computer to pump out 20 frames all the way through my approach, but I'd like to see some of the flare instead of pulling back on the stick and hoping that my next screen update will show me in one piece and rolling out halfway down the runway.Steve Perry

Hello All,In the FMC descent page you have an option to enter weather forecasts more paticularly the winds at different altitudes.Where can I find such information when I'm flying with real weather enabled ?I have found a good site to give me metars for the destination and arrival airports but how do I find uper layer winds. I have been reluctant to write this post, hoping I guess that perhaps my feelings would change. But the havn't. Ever since purchasing this jet, I have had this sense of disatisfaction that simply won't go away. So, I thought I would share this in hope that future releases might take my thoughts into consideration and to see if I am alone in my views (after browsing the panels in the AVSIM library, I have a sense that I might very well be an outlier on this subject).Also, this is not a rant - just my own reaction to a generally very good product. Hey all,Been wondering this for years but now that I've been putting the PMDG 736 through its paces, it's REALLY bugging me and I didn't find an answer on the board.I know what climb and descent rates I can get through the FMC and various autopilot modes. But just because the plane CAN do a 5000ft/min descend (or 10,000ft/min for that matter), what rates are usually used in real life?Yes, I know, weather and weight and SID/STARS but what are average realistic climb/descent rates for the 736. I certainly hope that the 747 will come out on schedule - even sooner would be nice as I am most likely going to Delta Connection Academy this summer. ANyway, ITS ABOUT TIME SOMEONE KICKS PSS's ####!!!!. They do make good products, but they are so F***** EXPENSIVE!!!! WITH NO LIVERIES TO PLAY WITH without dishing out more cash, and no FS2004 compatibility - I ended up using panel and sounds with POSKY aircraft. PMDG - make that 747 rock the world like 737 and I'd buy it twice over!!! I need a 747 for FS2004 dammit!!!!

Hi Airman,I have the following problem with steering en flying the 737 (600+700).When on the ground and taxiing, the airplane wants to the left, I notice that the nose wheel continues turns left.When in the air I have the same problem, aircraft turns to the left and disable the autopilot.Restarting FS resolve not the problem, only restore windows to an earlier date when the aircraft fly

Hi all,Whenever I do a flight using the FMC I get in trouble when it's time for the descent phase of the flight. I get a message in the FMC saying "Pth not available" or something like that. If I'm not mistaken this can be a result of winds?...but I'm not quite sure how to handle this and would appreciate any help. Also I'm not quite sure how to use the MCP altitude together with the FMC. Seems you always have to be one step ahead of the FMC setting the altitude?And now for the tip. Hello again. I figured I would post my screenshot of my AWFUL frames. I am the one who was in the original thread too (joshranwest), toward the end. Just using a different screen name. In any case, the card is on the way back to ATI, but I just wanted to show you all my pitiful frames, for the last image taken with that card. I am going back to my ATI7500 64 Meg. With that one, I could get 12 FPS at the same airport (DFW). Weird. Like all of us, I look forward to the release of the 737-800/900, however I am perhaps more interested in the eventual release of PMDG's 747. I've been anticipating a really good 747 since advancing technology made it harder and harder (and eventually impossible) to run PS1.3, but have been somewhat disappointed with each installation I have tried so far.Since the PMDG release will not be available for some months to come can anyone here recommend a good 747-400 (or later) that will run on FS9/WinXP so that I might keep my hand in? Hello all,several days ago I read about the program "Shoot" which is able to control the PMDG737 (and others, maybe) by voice.Is someone here in the forum who could help me in the first steps using this addon? How is the connection between FS and Shoot done?
