Hi guys, I never used the fuel planner before and when I did today I noticed that if I tell the fuel planner to load the fuel for me I wont get the same amount of fuel loaded, instead all 3 tanks are full to the rim?!?As you can see here even my gross take -off weight isn't correct as a result. Are you supposed to change the fuel quantity manually once the sim is started? Most likely I screwed up somewhere and I haven't tried it again so if there's someone out there to put me on the right path I'd apreciate a lot, thanks!Davidhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61557.jpg

Ok guys. Thanks for all of your help with the ATI issue I had there. I got the tested card back today, they said it was fine. Good deal! Well I just bought a 500 Watt power supply from the neighborhood super computer store. Only 100 bucks, not bad at all. Anyway, putting it in tonight. To replace my 160 watter. I read on the ATI9800XT box (somewhere) that it needs 300 watts. So my system will kick some major @$$ after this. I hope. If the ATI takes the full 300 watts, that still leaves 200 watts for the computer. And it can run on 160 watts. 40 extra watts to play with. Cool! Anyway I will post my frame rates after I get it all hooked up. I.T. guy here at work said they a…

Hi all,Yesterday and today I have been getting what I think is false takeoff speeds in the FMC. I am using a ZFW of 54105 kg's with 10605 kg's of fuel, I set the ZFW with the PMDG Load manager before starting FS9. With 5 deg flap my speeds calculated by the FMC are V1 94 knt VR 98 knt and V2 111 knts. As you can see they are very low ( I think)and when I get the "rotatate" I attempt to takeoff but the aircraft continues on the ground as it does not yet have enough velocity. Any one get any solutions. Many thanks.

I think with my CH yoke configured for maximum sensitivity it handles the NG and other add-ons just perfectly with respect to aileron roll or banks. I feel however that the elevator sensitivity is too much. I find it hard to even make slight adjustments when manually flying my final without porpoising like a dolphin. Can anyone provide me with some insight into how the NG should respond in the real world as it pertains to a CH yoke adjustment. I'm not using the CH control manager or FSUIPC, just the windows XP and FS9 settings. Thanks,Chris

Hi, folks....When a 737NG start switch is selected to GND, the start valve opens and the APU can then supply bleed air to the engine starter. When the start valve opens, an electrical signal is sent to the respective engine bleed system to close the main engine bleed valve (PRSOV). According to my books, closing this valve protects the engine bleed system from APU air (i.e. from reverse flow). However, the other engine bleed valve doesn't receive this signal (as far as I can see). If this is the case, what is protecting the other engine bleed system during start?Thanks.Cheers.Ian.

Captains,My new tutorial is almost done, and the beta testers have been a tremendous help!I expect to release it to the general public this weekend, and here's a bit of a description to whet your appetite:Over 100! pages.Five separate flights. Each flight has a ground school segment tied to the systems that will be taught during the flight.New topics including rejected takeoffs, non-precision approaches, Control Wheel Steering (CWS), and missed approaches.Appendix covering the installation of add-ons like the audio panel and ground handling gauges.Flight plans and charts are included for all five flights, as is a new checklist. All written in a style that puts you in the …

I flew today and programmed a hold at 200 knots since we were at 4000.I was in LNAV/VNAV at 250 knots before the hold. When I entered the hold, the airplane tracked the hold perfectly, but did NOT decelerate.Shouldn't the FMC command a deceleration at the holding point?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61389.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61390.jpgThe good news is that taking the airplane out of LNAV by pressing ALT HOLD or VS does let me control the speed, and I can put it back in VNAV after I exit the hold?Comments welcome!

I have a slight problem with the load manager, that seems unique to me as a search of the PMDG forum turned up no answer. The load manager loads fine. I can select any of the various aircraft configurations and change the unit selector from lb. to kg.. What I can't do is input any weight settings either by the sliders or by manually typing them in. The slider refuses to move and while you can see the cusor blinking in a weight input box, it will not accept a keystroke. Any suggestions? John Fitzpatrick

Could someone clarify the benefit of these for those of us that aren't quite that savvy. I mean $18.00 for a couple of guages? What exactly is so much better about them? Are they more frame rate freindly, or do they just look better. Can someone explain?CH

Hello AllCan anyone tell me the basic steps to start the engines on the 737? I use ctl-e, but then I have to play around with the generator switches on the overhead panel to get the engines to start and "hold" - otherwise they keep trying to start. Even when they do start and hold, I am not sure what I finally did correctly to get them to do so.Forgive my ignorance. If anyone could just give me the steps in the proper order, I would be extremly appreciativeThanks.

Okay so this is the biggest stress in the whole FS program. Crosswind landings I can cope with, SIDS, STARS, short field take-offs - no problem..but what about these flamin' doors?!!!!I've assigned the airstairs function to two keys on the joystick which works like a dream. I've moved 'exit' to the 'D' button, but only about a quarter the time can I get the cargo and passenger doors to open. Is there any way to edit the config file so you can open the doors independently with one keystroke? The otherwise rubbish A320 PIC has this option, with each exit having a separate assignment.Any have any suggestions?Ben W

Now that the b1900d is almost complete, let's lobby for a Saab 340b. Everyone has a Dash 8 or ATR, but the 340b has been abandoned by everyone that has tried to make one since FS2002. I vote for PMDG to do this for the next Express product. Otherwise, we'll never see one! Any second votes? I've started a pretty good model myself, but the window cutting discouraged me to the point of throwing my arms up!CH

Hey guys, this is my first post, I love the PMDG Model it is AMAZING! I install everything and I go to Select Aircraft I chose the 737-700 and nothing happens and I press CTRL+ALT+DEL and it says that Flight Simulator Century of Flight [Not Responding]. It does this all the time. I have a P4 2.6 GHZ, ATi Radeion 9600Pro, I believe I have 126MB of RAM or 512MB of RAM it's one of the other. Thanks a lot for the help guys!

I bought the PMDG 737-700 and I must say that this is a jewel for the FS community. Finally, someone came out with an excellent 737 and the best part, its got a virtual cabin....kooool. I didn't like the 2-D panel and it seemed to create FPS problems for me, so I switched it out with a 3rd party panel that I have used since FS2002 came out. I still use the virtual cockpit though along with the cabin. Tell you one thing, I haven't had any FPS problems since switching out the 2-D panel. Anyways, here is my only problem:I was inflight and decided to reset the flight, went into "File" and scrolled down to "reset flight". The flight reset itself but now, there is a green ti…

On May 16, 2001, during a festive celebration in Seattle, Wash., The Boeing Company delivered the first 737-900 to launch customer Alaska Airlines.][/bRecently I flew on N305AS from KGEG/KSEA/PANC First class... She's a beaut... and flies nicely, albeit different... in climb especially...Everyone who sees one says the same thing... "its sooo long!" and "its the nicest looking 737 around!"Looking forward to PMDG's 739 to do justice to this, the most beautiful of all 737's yet built...Regards,Ted Panamarioff - rainy Kodiak, Alaska
