Greetings:I just had to reinstall the PMDG 737NG the other day. I went to start a flight and on the POSition page I entered the reference airport and on the scratchpad flashed "Not in Database" I have the Airac in the proper folder as stated in other posts and the departure procedures and STARS in the proper folder. I do not know what to do. I didn't have this problem before. Any help would be appreciated.v/rTodd Hontz

I am fairly used to operating a real FMC (since I fly real world) but not much experience in the heavys, mostly GA aircraft.Question is after I create my flight plan and set all waypoints to my destenition airport HOW DO I GET THE AP TO FOLLOW THE ROUTE? I have tried everything I know of and have printed out all 200 (or so it seems like) pages and read everything twice. Still cant get the darn AP to follow the flightplan. Any help would be VERY appriciated. I am not sure if this is an error with the install (since my frst install went south) or my missing something. In flight sim I am used to using the GSP to follow the waypoints but thats not an option here. Again any hel…

Sirs,I've been reading about the 737-300 FMC here;http://www.b737.org.uk/fmc.htmBut on the fuel planning page there does not appear to be a taxi fuel entry, unlike the A320 aircraft. Is this information on page 2? How does the FMC know it has got enough fuel before leaving the gate? i.e It might be taxiing round Amsterdam for 20 minutes or maybe just 2 mins at some small regional airport.http://www.b737.org.uk/fmc_perf_init.gifI hope PMDG do an Airbus aircraft in the future-Paul

Just a quick Q. on the FMC that someone may be able to answer. I setup my flight plan in the FMC and everything was going fine in VNAV mode except when I went to engage the LNAV. It would not engage (the annunciator light did not come on) when I pressed the button. I looked at the FMC and noticed a message in the cratchpad section that said "Not on Intercept Heading". Now, this must have something to do with why I cannot engage LNAV. So, if anyone has any clues or has experienced this, please tell me what I am doing wrong...LOL!Regards,Tom Stewart

Hi GuysWhlist climbing out of LOWI 08 and after reaching 6700ft, i got the warning message displayed below on the 737's fmc - which is curious as i was taking off !!! Somehow, it seems that the fmc thought that i was descending and not ascending. Following on from this, when i attempted to engage vnav, i kept getting the message "check mcp alt". I had to complete the flight with just lnav.Anyone got any ideas or thoughts about this.Much appreciatedGaryhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/64626.jpg

Hi Guys,I have a couple questions. Has the panel light issue been solved where at times it will cause a few gauges not to appear until you switch the light off? I couldn't find a solid answer by searching. The second question:Yesterday I was going through my checklists, and by mistake clicked on the fire extiguisher switch for engine #1. I then set it back to normal position, and continued with the checklists. When I went to start engine #1, it wouldn't kick over. It just keep cycling over and over. I then realized what I had done, and couldn't find a way to reset it without re-loading the flight again. Is there a way to reset the fire system without having to reload th…

If you would like to add a Beechcraft Yoke to the 2d panel in the B1900D, have a look in the library (2004 panels).I just uploaded an addon package (picture attaced) with, hopefully, easy to follow step by step instructions..The yoke can be hidden/displayed, using a clickspot on the panel.

Hello thereJust got the 737 and its just so good. I have been using the dreamfleet 737-400 until switching to FS9 recently. I have a ? on the FMC.When I make an invalid instruction in the FMC the word DELETE appears in the scratchpad. When I hit delete it then shows 'INVALID DELETE' and I cannot remove this. I've looked through the manual but its not mentioned. Can someone help me out with this.ARK http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/64661.jpg

I've searched through the forums, but have come up dry on this. When I assign an axis (any axis, doesn't matter which) to the spoiler, I get very strange behaviour. If I deploy the spoiler, then retract, the spoiler suddenly jumps all the way to fully deployed. The only way I can retract the spoiler is to hit the / key. Some details:* FS2004* CH Flight Sim Yoke USB. Properly calibrated, and all axes are functioning properly.* Occurs even with clean FS2004 install and default aircraft.Anyone else have this behaviour in FS2004? Any workarouds? (i.e. an INI file setting, for example?)Thanks,- Bill

Well what happens is this: When I go to load the plane in FS9 as soon as I choose the 737NG I get an hourglass, everything else freezes up and then the sim crashes. I have reinstalled (uninstalled first using the uninstall tool) already and still the same thing. I KNOW it's gauge related because when I remove the gauges the plane will load, however without gauges it's no good. any reason for this? System Info:P4 3.2 (800 buss)1gb ddr 400 ramNvidia GeForce4 4800TI graphics. Thanks,Keith

Hi folks...Is there any intention of making an official one? I've been asked to look into doing a VA repaint of the aircraft and it's far easier with a psd file... :-hahNo problems if there isn't, just thought I'd ask. :-)Ian P.BTBT Gopher and Random Beer Crate Rotator:-halo

As you started with props, why not the Saab 2000? I'd really love to have this turboprop available in PMDG quality and would spend the 40 dollars at once...Nik @ LFSB(oh well, probably very hard to get hold of good information for you, as it is rarely seen in the states)

I am thinking of getting a new Dell P4 3.0 with 1 gig, radeon 9800 machine. I now have a ol' P4 1.5 with 512 meg and 9700 pro....and NG works good, better than ever expected... with 20 fps on takeoff and landing, sometimes more, especially if flying in the ultra smooth Caribbean area (why is that all the airports in the Carib, even with autogen on max...soooooo smmmmmooooth??) , no stutters and LCD set to around 15 or 20....will I have a pure doubling of performance?!?! wow! maybe?Peter

Well, Great news. It looks as though we will have a PMDG airline! There will be a few bugs to work out, but I think we will be on our way very soon. The great part is everyone will be involved in the development of our great airline. We will execute online flying on two seperate networks, and we will have hubs in the following cities:NewarkOrlandoClevelandDenverPhoenixSeattleFrankfurt or MunichLondonBrisbaneMelbourneJakartaTorontoCalgaryPlus we will have a maintenance division, as well as a charter division. We will need help, so please lend a hand if you can. My email is [email protected] GET STARTED!

After completeing the first leg of ANY flight with the NG, it seems that when on the next leg of the flight the takeoff warning sounds EVERY time.Ok before you start telling me to check this and check that... I do no different then when on the first flight. This only occurs AFTER the first flight. Everything is in it correct configuration.( Just like in the first flight). So what is going on here. Its nothing new. It just took me a while to see the pattern so I could describe it here. The ONLY way to get it to stop Is to RELOAD..ANd that is not cool.Thanks.
