PMDG General Forum

First off the PMDG 737NG is the first payware aircraft I purchased. I feel that this was a great deal. When you consider the documentation included with the aircraft, the effort involved is great. The aircraft itself looks great both inside and outside. The dynamics do a great job of reflecting the real world aircaft. (I have a friend who flys 737's and he was impressed) The 2d flight deck is layed out very well. Boy it would be great if we could get those wipers to work. Any chance, in a future patch? :-hmmm

I am unable to effectively slow the 737 in flight using the flight detent position of the spoilers. I really like the airframe howling sound while deploying spoilers in flight, but spoilers do not seem to really slow the aircraft effectively. If this more accurately reflects the modeling of a real 737's spoilers, I can live with that; but if not, I wonder if there is a way to increase spoiler drag in the .cfg file ?Thanks !John M.

I had to re-install my operating system (W2K)and then re-install FS9 as well as the PMDG 737.After several tries - re-installing FS9 then using the REMOVE tool and re-installing SU2, I get the following error messages:On start of FS9: "Flight Simulator unable to load some aircraft or software. PMDGOptions.DLL".(I have checked and the file PMDGOptions.DLL is located in the MODULES directory in FS9).Then after clicking OK to the error message, FS9 loads OK. Then, when I try to select any of the PMDG aircraft, I get the next error message telling me that that the program can not load the file PMDG_737_MAIN.GAU. I then have to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to get out of FS9.All the PMDG G…

Are the PMDG authored liveries still available for this aircraft? The download contains the stock PMDG 752, and the readme mentions that more are available, but they have apparently been withdrawn from the site.Are there any other sources?I think I'll get the NG next - if the aircraft and documentation continue the PMDG tradition it must be good.

I wanted to create a SID, i can create one without any syntax erros, but when i load it up on the FMC, i get straight track lines, instead of curved ones, when i think they should be curved. The plane follows my intended path anyway, but i thought it would be more realitic with the curved tracks displayed on the navigation display. Just installed the jet line 2 gauges with the configuration files for the Beechcraft. Everything works ok except the Garmin500 won't show when i click on the GPS button.Kev Farrow.

Hi, I've been going through the tutorials for the 737NG and have a quick Q? I am trying to change the "STAB TRIM" on the Throttle Quad. and for the life of me after looking through the PMDG manuals, I cannot find anything on this. I want to change the trim to 5.5. Is there a keyboard "key" that I can use or where would the "mouse" click be to perform this function?Regards,Tom Stewart

Flying the 737-700.On climb to FL350, 22000lbs of fuel on board and 37000lbs of bodies and junk below the floor the aircraft has a steady and normal (1800 - 2000 ft per min) climb rate in Vnav until it reaches FL240 then the rate decays to around 800 then below 500 ft per min.I have to engage Lvl Chg for a while and finish the climb using vert spd. The airctraft maintains 293 kts.Is this within parameters or do I have something wrong like perhaps a drogue chute or something?TIAAndy b

I know this is probably not the right place, but - since everyone helped me through the whole ATI9800XP issue (many, many thanks to you all). I just wanted to post my newest screenshot since tweaking my computer and graphics card to your specifications and tips. Its not a PMDG product (bad josh, BAD!) but its the only one tonight, that I took, that came out well. How do I access the mini panal. Are there any click spots to open it?? I tried the shift+nunm keys and it still won't appear. For some reason it's not even listed under veiw options, even though it's window #7.Bill M

Hi, I just purchased the 737NG and I can already see that I will not be disappointed with this awesome addon. After reading and studying all of the forum posts it came down to..."I just have to have it"! I think also it was the obvious dedication and professionalism of the PMDG staff and their sense of commitment to the customer that sold me on PMDG. I also purchased the excellent B1900D last week and I needed something like this to tear me away from that exceptional piece of software. I am a proud owner of this peace of beuty!However the PDMG 737NG is not supported by CP Flight due to lack of knowledge of PDMG internal commands for most functions.CP Flight has promised to include PDMG B737NG in its driver as soon as they get the data from PDMG.Is this matter maybe already taken care of by now?CP Flights website : www.cpflight.comBjorn

I have noticed when I am flying the B1900 that ATC only recognizes me by my callsign eg.US AIR but not my aircraft type B1900.They will tell other traffic that I am in the area but not as a B1900.Is there a way to fix this in the aircraft.cfg file???ThanksAndy
