PMDG General Forum

Since installing PMDG 737NG every thing works fine with the exception of the ATC voice traffic. In short, the responses to the ATC instructions are fine but 70% to 80% of the ATC instructions are not audible. It almost sounds like two audio sources fighting over CPU resources, however there aren't any other programs running when I run FS9. I have followed the FS9 suggestions(disabling some o fthe sound card features) but that results in a PMDG sound driver error on FS9 startup and FS9 promply unloads. Hi all,I am slowly but surely becoming a VC convert. I have a couple of questions for the 737 VC. I am assumimg that the overhead panel is not clickable at all as of yet, is this going to change with the release of the 800/900 series?Also, while in the VC and panning down to look at the FMC, the yoke is blocking the view of the captains FMC and the flap handle interferes with viewing the FO's FMC. Is there any way to improve the views of the FMC's?Thanks,Kevin

I have one relevant question regarding the 600/700:when the 800/900 package is released, will there be made available an update to make the 600/700 up-to-date with the new stuff that the 800/900 package includes? OR - will all 600/700 user HAVE to buy the 800/900 to get their 600/700 upto the standards that the 800/900 package offer?Jan Roar R

Hi y'allIn 2D panel mode the grey switch activates the panel lights but in VC mode it doesn't do anything. The panel lights automatically get off at a certain time at dawn and on at a certain time at dusk. This is specially annoying if you fly early in the morning (as I like to do) just after the panel lights get off, the VC gauges being too dark.So the question is, am I missing something ?thanksDominique

Hi all, when entering a flight plan in the fmc and selecting the departure and arrival runways Sids and Stars are never available i.e. "None". The PMDG folder is in the root of Fs9 and the Sid/Star folder is populated. Where I am I going wrong?Thanks in advance.Bern

Hello all,First time posting in this forum so here goes!!Basically I am wanting to learn how to repaint the PMDG aircraft 1900 and he 737NG.What tools do I need for a start? I have downloaded the paintkit for the 737NG but it is just a series of files that I have no idea what to do with?Are there any detailed docs that are like a walkthrough! (easy life you think to yourself!)Can anyone give me some guidence on what I need to do to repaint these fantastic aircraft with the shiny effects?Any help would be much appreciated, as I notice here are people in this forum that do this?Thanks in advance.Mark Podbery

All,I like to make a repaint of the great PDMG beech 190D for MidCon virtual airlines . It seems there is no repaint kit for it on the PDMG website. Is there anyone out here who could help me out from saving me hours and hours to make a repaint kit myself.

I agree 100% Before I got the PMDG737 I usually flew POSKY's nice 757 along with a panel from the library. But now I can't really enjoy flying these "incomplete" birds much anymore. I need the whole complete package with little/no fiddling to get it working right. I'm spoiled now. The only planes I ever fly are the PMDG737, B1900 and RealAir SF.260...all payware. Except for maybe some VFR aircraft I don't really see myself going back...payware is usually just such a higher level of quality functionality wise.

Hi,I've been a "bus driver" for a long time :-halo but since ACOF it seems that PSS are having problems getting the 330/340 to work smoothly. I'm waiting for the various issues to be addressed so until then the buses have been hangered.I recently purchased the PMDG 737NG. Hi, When my flight reaches T/D the aircraft descends normally but it has to level out just before the 240kias restriction at 10000ft to slow down, and it has problems after that in keeping speed restriction so when I reach finals I am way to high and consequently cannot land. SNAV disconnects as it goes over speed limit.Is there any way to slow the aircraft down when above flaps speed? Or will I have to manually descend before the T/D so as to reach the assigned altitude and speed for finals?Does it also mean that the FMC is faulty in it's calculations?

How come every time & select an arrival runway, I get the route discontinuity message on the FMC? I know how to get out of the DISCO, but I don't understand why it is even there in the first place. I also get all these other things inserted too - like a hold pattern that I never asked for, etc. Then I usually have to start deleting all these extra insertions in the Route page of the FMC. Before I upgraded to the second (& now the latest version) of the 737, I never had this - the original version never had this. I read the manual, especially in regards to the chapter on the FMC & I can't seem to find out why all these other things get added every time I s…

I am trying to run Tim's tutorial from a cold start.Using 1.3, and starting with Tim's default aircraft.When I turn on the battery I get a loud beeping noise (some type of warning) that I am unable to stop. I continued through the tutorial, but none of the other procedures would stop the noise. Even hitting "Q" to turn off the sound will not stop the beeping.Anyone know what I may be doing wrong???I have tried starting with the SWA Classic aircraft, and I am able to use this without the beeping.Thanks,Don Maxwell

Hi gang,Does the real life NG display and cycle through digital check lists on one of the displays? If so I think it would be very cool (not to mention convenient) to have that incorporated in the next release or perhaps the BBJ. Any thoughts on the matter?

hii purchased the 737NG but i got some problems with the cockpit announcements. While rolling for takeoff, i just hear "80 knots", but neiter "v1" nor "rotate". I did not enter any flightplan - the sounds are activated under pmdg options..thank you

Hi, If I want to fly the same flight plan next time I start fs9 is it possible to save the flight plan on the fmc instead of entering it every time you start.

Hello fellow PMDG captains :-)What steps do I have to take when flying online at VATSIM to see the other players actual liveries instead of the default CSL livery? I have downloaded csl_version1-75b and put the csl library with all a/c here C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9AircraftCSL and put the CSL_ICAO.csv in C:Program FilesSquawkBox but the only livery I see when online is the default CSL livery.Would really like to have this work til the PMDG groupflight tonight :-)All the best and thanks in advance for any help,

Dear PMDG developers,I just saw the pictures of the new 800/900 and they are looking really good. That said, I would like to know whether there is any chance that the 800/900 will also feature altitude/speed intervention.
