    Hello Folks, I have been toying around with the PMDG B1900D and having a ball. This not only gives me a break from the magnificent 737NG but also allows me to fly into smaller airports using LA-IFR charts, which have taken a back seat to the HA-IFR charts. I do have a question: On the bottom, roughly centered, of the panel is a subpanel that has 9-toggle switches and 1-rocker switch. Can anyone tell me what the purpose in life for the rocker switch is? The switch label is too small for me to read.Thanks

    The 737NG takeoff performance manual seems to cover the 'hot' part of the 'hot and high' performance limitation equation, but the 'high' side seems left wanting. Sure, I can look up the effect of altitude on V speeds and expected takeoff thrust, but they don't tell me whether I can takeoff with a margin of safety.Can anyone advise me how to determine the aircraft weight limit for a high altitude (as in > 7000ft) airport, given runway length, runway altitude, flap setting, temperature and wind component?   6. As far as I can tell I am following all of the FMC procedures correctly, etc. Yet, I never reach an altitude low enough to intercept the glideslope. For example, KCLE-KORD27L. I begin the FMC descent to 2000, intercept the localizer, but always end up about 500-1000 feet above the glideslope. Also, the speedbrakes do not seem to be very effective in slowing the aircraft.I have flown the tutorials, for example, KDEN-KLAX, and observed the same behavior.The only way I have found to achieve speed and altitude control is to perform manual descents beginning before the calculated tod. But, this seems to be defeating the purpose of the FMC.Any suggestions would be appreciat…

    OK here goes,Alaska Airlines, and probably other airlines, have their own approaches, not published, that they shoot into a lot of those remote airports in Alaska. They are called RNP approaches. They are flown strictly with LNAV/FMC. I would like to shoot some of those approaches, but none of the RNP Waypoints are programmed into PMDG's FMC database. My question is:Can I program these waypoints into the FMC and SAVE them using their real names in lue of programing them every single time using lat/long? Maybe in a text file somehow or something???Thanks!!Nick

  10. Dear All:What am I doing wrong? Whenever I select an ILS runway, I get the usual Route DISCO. I don't seem to know what eactly to do next! Can someone tell me EXACTLY how I am supposed to close the disco? I thought I was supposed to down select the DILS runway to the scratch pad & then insert it onto the set of empty boxes. I usually get my runway from ATC when I am about 30 to 40 miles out. I then select it from the arr/dep page. Then I get the RT DISCO to appear. I read the FMC manual THOROUGHLY. I still just do NOT get it! Every time I select a runway, I get all these other fixes insered, included a holding pattern that I never even told to appear. Pleas…

    I have finally aquired a new Dell 8300 3.0 GZ HTT(1 GIG / Radeon 9800 PRO) online and the PMDG NG and 1900 are fabulous... as kinda expected... but frame rates are exactly double that on my old P4 1.5 machine. Most scenery settings are on dense or very dense with 8XAA and 12X Ansio (really helps out blurry runways I have found out) 1280x1024x32 Windowed mode (that gives you a few more fps I have found) and frame rate slider set to unlimited.Most 2D cockpit in the NG I get 28 to 40 fps with VC 15 to 35.the 1900 is about 30+ in all flight regiems....and boy does that 1900 act and feel like a real turboprop!Great work PMDG!!Peter

    I usualy fly either with a full or empty load of pax, and about 25Kg luggage/pax, evenly distributed by the two cargo doors.Ques question is: If I decide to load only about 70 pax, the graph represents the actual distribuition of pax in the plane? i.e all in front? or represents only the amout of pax loaded, regardless of theyr actual position in the craft?To make if more clear: the number of pax alters the Cg or not?Thank's in advace....

    Hi,Please, please! can someone help me with the following autopilot problems in FS9:1. The autopilot cannot maintain a set altitude. The aircraft constantly climbs and descends upto 2000ft above of below the set altitude. As the result, the autothrottle constantly changes power settings between full throttle and idle in order to maintain the set airspeed during this climbing and descending. This plays havoc with my fuel planning not to mention the anxiety of my passengers.2. The aircraft reacts very sharply and violently whenever the autopilot commands a heading change. Eventhough the bsnk angle is never exceeded, it is not a smooth and gentle turn. This makes my passenge…

    I just started using the 737NG and am really enjoying the learning challenge so far.I have a question. At cruise altitude, I notice that the aircraft seems a little nervous. By that I mean it makes lots of small, very quick, left/right corrections. This can be seen best by looking out of the 2D cockpit at the lower left of the windshield. The scenery appears to making small jumps up/down.I was wondering if this is normal, and can it be dampened somehow? I find it visually annoying.Thanks.

    Hi,I need some help with the following matter:In FS2002 suddenly my 737PMDG (and other planes as well) shows a misdirection of appr. 30 degrees.For example: Standing lined up at EGLL at 27L it shows a direction of300.I have this problem everywhere in the world.I do NOT have this problem using FS9 !Any ideas ?Any help highly appreciated !ThanksBen (EDDT)

  24. I get very bad performance in 2D and VC. External with maximum detail and settings is just fine but 2D and VC I get half the fps of standard ugly FS 2004 aircraft.Easily beats the Citation X which also that is a performance killer.So how do I improve the 2D and VC cockpit performance. As it is now landings in cities is really a no go. I have tried many tweaks. Running 16-bit, reducing viewing distance both land and weather to 0. decreasing 3D cloud density everything. But running these aircrafts give me 2-3 times lower performance than default FS 2004 aircraft.
