After seeing the awesome work Eaglesoft put into their Cessna Citation X, I'm wondering what special features can we expect from PMDG. First off will there be a custom cabin for the BBJ or will you guys place the current cabin in that package? It would be nice to see a cabin for the BBJ on the level of Eaglesoft's (couches, recliners, etc.). I know it's all about flying but the eye candy that can be achieved is awesome... It's almost like a try before you buy situation (if one was in the market for a jet in real life). With FS now you can get a very good idea of what being there in the real bird is like.Anyway hope you guys go all out on the BBJ, it's one aircraft that…

I see aerosoft.com in Germany is taking preorders for a PMDG737NG boxed CD. The picture of the box certainly looks convincing. Are they jumping the gun or will a CD be available soon? If so will the AVSIM store be selling it too or does aerosoft have a lock on the boxed CD version sales?Mark

I know this never really got off the ground - no fault to the folks at PMDG.However, to Pete Sterling, you did some really fine repaints and you are my inspiration (see the Fly! General Discussion Forum). Could you kindly forward a .psd layered file of the 757 & 777 which you used to make your repaints? I would really appreciate it as there are some liveries, especially the new United scheme, which I would like to create. It could take quite a long time to create the separations myself and knowing how you created all those repaints I assume you've done the work and I can "carry the torch."Looking forward to hearing from you!John BauderFly! Hi I just purchased the 737NG. I put it on my 2.7G AMDXP with a TI4600 128Meg Video Card. I have 512M of Ram as well on a Nvidia Mother board. 6FPS is the best I can get with I would call it graphics set in Flight Sim to around 75% of max. I was getting around 40 FPS with other 737's. So I put the program on my laptop which is a dell P4 2.8G, 64Meg of Ram, and laptops are hardly gaming machines and I'm getting 25 FPS. My 2.7 AMD should be a lot faster than the laptop. ANYONE have a clue as to why not. The laptop's graphics settings for FS2004 are around 50% of max. I am using the 737-700 in 2D mode. Anyone have any idea as to what I can do to fix this? I just p…

Hi PSS,I read in a paper (Flightxpress) from the end of 2001 about a Boeing 777 for Fly 2. The report told about a good-made plane and the author was satisfied. Now I ask you: can you make a 777 for MSFS too, in the way like your fantastic 737? That would be great!greetingsKai

Hi!I have written about my problem with the radio stack before deeply in some other thread. But as nobody noticed it, I will try again:The radio stack stops functioning after some time of flying. The NAV1, NAV2, COM1, COM2 control don't work anymore, i.e. I can click on the knobs without any effect. Even with the right frequency no distance, direction is displayed and ILS doesn't work anymore. I have experienced this several times now. When I get nearer my destination I setup the frequencies for the ILS approach. At this point the VORs are still out of range. When I get nearer and the signal should be received the failure appears. Reloading the aircraft fixes the problem …

This one's for the PMDG guys, or anyone with any tips....My sister is about to complete an Aeronautical Engineering degree and has a group project to complete using a software package to model stability of a large commercial jet, they've chosen the Queen of the Skies.A request to a friend at Boeing hasn't yielded any info but he suggested trying the Flight Sim community as he's amazed by the flight modelling of his companies products in MSFS!Considering you're mid-development of the 744 would you guys have any non-sensitive data for the following? The data required for assessment/modifications to longitudinal stability of the B747-400 is:-Position of mean aerodynamic chord…

I have two lock ups in FS2002 while flying PMDG...I don't know if its related to the AIRAC I recently installed, but I doubt it..."The following information is part of the event: fs2002.exe; 8.0.0.10919; g3d.dll; 8.0.0.10919; 0000d73a."Was what the event viewer wrote...Boaz...

A search did not help me with this particular problem. I'm doing a DME ARC for KVCV. I plotted my fixes us FSNav4.6. My first fix after IAF is N34*42.63',W117*09.84'. Now, I know (from searching) that the string is continuous and must contain exactly 13 characters. However this one contains 15...all my fixes are 15 characters. What should I do?John R. Hi all,It has been a week since I mapped the MCP and RP48 keys using the latest version of FSUIPC.Everything works fine!! I did the first online flight with this system yesterday and it was a real pleasure!!!Here is how things have been mapped (just an example, personal taste)MCP : all keys and rotary buttons have been mapped to their original function except "B/C" that has been mapped as "Alt/Hold"RP48 : buttons : CMDB, LVL-CH, LNAV, VNAV, TOGA, FD, A/T,Display mode (arc/rose) Knobs : RMI1 (nav1/ADF1), RMI2 (nav2, ADF2 (inop in FS)), Display Range, Display mode (map, vor, ils....)This is great to use the plane that way. A few remarks for those who want to do it :1. The k…

I understand sid/stars (at least i think I do) and I understand how to use the FMC. But I still don't understand how I program the route that I want when I don't know which runway I am going to land at yet. I don't find that out until I get near the destination. I try to guess based on the winds but that isn't always right. I have my weather set to real world with updates and no dynamic weather. What I usually do is program the FMC for my departure runway and sid based on my destination's bearing. Then I choose from the left side of the arrivals page the proper star to get to the destination airport. A lot of times I have a big space between the end of the sid and the beg…

Hi all. I used fsbuild to auto generate a flight plan from stansted (EGSS), to glasgow (EGPF). I use the LANA1A STAR and enter it via dep arr on the FMC. When I check the route I have a gap after the last waypoint, (LANAK). I cannot join the route to the beginning of the STAR and this goes for any route that I try. Is it to do with using a transition waypoint, or route discontinuity? This is the only part of the FMC that baffles me. I will be eternally grateful to anyone who can tell me where I am going wrong. Thanks.

Hi,The current results of the votes on the most used panel views is quite interesting.Am I wrong if I assert that the "virtual cockpit view" concept is either overdone or not practical for most users. One would surely argue that the kind of computer power needed for the use of virtual cockpits is not yet affordable by most users. Other who have the adequate hardware will say that accurate monitoring and flying the aircraft is somewhat more difficult from a virtual cockpit panel. This raises the issue of developing and marketing aircrafts which include virtual cockpits. Is it worth it? Could the time devoted by programers be better used in deeper development of flight mana…

Currently on a flight from KSFO to KSLC.Cruise alt was set in the FMC & MCP at FL330, real time weather supplied by ActiveSky2.Once above about FL200 I left the a/p to get on with it and have just checked the flightdeck and got a surprise. The PFD was showing FL370 as was FS via SHIFT-Z. The MCP was still set at FL330 as was the cruise page of the FMC.Std pressure was set at FL180.Can anyone suggest why the 737-700 climbed to FL370 ?TIADave

Hi AllPlease could you help with the following as i am a new user of the PMDG 737-600/700.1. since installing the 737, FS9 seems to hang between menu's & hangs before shutting down. I have deleted the FS9.cfg & also the state files as per the FAQ site. But this has made no difference.2. where is the TO/Ga switch ? I believe it is on the main panel somewhere but i can't see it.3. I have also downloaded & installed the Easyjet 737 livery with stairs, but i can't seem find out which key activates the air stairs.Any idea's? I can open the doors no problem, but asking the passengers to jump is not fair.4. Could someone point me in the direction of a good easy to fo…

While doing touch and go's, on my second landing, the gear suddenly didn't want to deploy. I informed ATC that the gear wont come down and will do a belly landing, when all of a sudden the gear motors came alive and all was well.i dont know what caused this. Any thoughts? I would like to think that PMDG coded some damage modeling (first landing was, erm, bouncy) but then it could be something else.Thanks.

How i can load passengers in FS 2002? This function are possible only in FS9. Do you have some load managers for loading this aircraft in FS 2002. Thanks for this great model.Best regards, Paul.

Hi, first off I don't want to criticize PDMG for your blue cockpit lighting. I was just wondering why you guys chose that color and if its the real color in B1900D? Is there a way to change it to maybe a more softer white/yellow/red?Thanks
