Hi, Congratulations, great plane. One problem, however: When using the autopilot during ILS approach (single channel app), I experience that the autopilot disengages app mode after catching the VOR LOC and the G/S. What do I do wrong? - Set correct ILS Freq in NAV1- push CMD for autopilot I- Arm VOR - Plane turns correctly towards VOR- Arm APP - After catching the glideslope, SINGLE CH autopilot lights on the FMC- BUT: After some seconds or one minute or so correctly on the glideslope the SINGLE CH disengages and the aircraft looses the glideslope. - By pressing APP button again and again you can normally engage APP mode again, and the plane follows the glideslope. What…

Hi PMDG !First I'd like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the Beech...you did an amazing job !I gotta say I'm in love with small propellers now ! And thanks for the low price and the free liveries...There's just one thing I've noticed, it's something about the model animation and it happens with the 2d panel/VC/VC Cab models. It's quite hard to explain for me so I thought a picture can speak far better than me ;-)In fact when I trim the aircraft up or down there's only the left part of the elevator which is moving, not the part on the other side. Is it as in real life or is it something you forgot ?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61955.jpg../)_/). _ Cl

Here is my problem. I am using 0312 Navdat and the 0401 SIDSTAR but on the PFD maps when on an approach the R/W is to the port side by a few degrees. ILS is correct and it even seems that the STAR is correct up to the last second it trys to crab over to the displayed location. I fly with real weather and FS9 ATC only for landing. Most of my landings are visual approaches. I was just living with it until the other day I was comming into KSLC with about 4SM visibility and I was using the PFD to line up on the ILS and the horizontal bar completly deflected before I was even close to being lined up according to the PFD I was about 12 miles out. I think the problem is coming f…

Presently, the magnetic compass in my FS2002-installation is wrong.F.e. the aircraft points to the north (according to GPS, FSNavigator and geographical situation) but the reading is around south (not exactly). Navigation display corresponds to the compass-reading and is also wrong. Can someone help me to correct that?ThanksUlf

Does anyone have paint experiences with the PMDG paint kit modification, for own design?I've tried to repaint some of their paintkit figures, but when i paste them into the directory of the aircraft selected to be modified, i see only the plane without any paint. The format they deliver in the kit is a 32 Bits, but with my paint shop pro 7.0 i don't know how to resave them in a 32 bits, as i only can go up to 24 bits. Is this the reason why i don't see any paint? Thanks for any help.Regards,Kim.:-zhelp

Okay, I never had this problem with Version 1.0, 1.2. But I've installed 1.3 and need some ideas. This nasty problem has occurred where, when in autoland mode, as soon as I get right over the numbers the damn thing noses right in and crashes. Violently. I've re-installed twice (yes used the uninstall utility), and I fly the numbers and proper parameters all the way down, nothing I've inputted either FMS wise or control wise is abnormal, so I'm at a loss. In fact, you'd never suspect anything was about to happen, nice and docile on approach until the final seconds before touchdown. Anyone else get this? Running in FS9 BTW....Thanks in advance, Palmer

Hey all,Are there any plans to include an ACP in the 800/900 package (also updating the 600/700)? I don't know about anyone else but I like having the ability to listen to two radios so that I can pick up an ATIS report on one and monitor ATC on the other. I've seen a few pics of NG's that have small control panels built in to the Comm selectors. This would do me fine. Most have large 'all-inclusive' ACP's though. Some pictures can be found [a href=http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?id=444418,398618,338090,415573]here[/a]While I'm here, does anyone know what he small MFD directly to the left of the Comm3 panel in [a href=http://www.airliners.net/open.file/219247…

I was out flying around Yellowstone in the B1900D and took some screenshots. All screens were taken north of Jackson Hole, WY (KJAC) using the 9.6M mesh from FSGenesis. The screenshots are 1280x960 so those on 56k be warned it will take a while to load. The only editing done to the screenshots was converting them from BMP to Jpegs. http://protean-industries.com/fs.htmI'm having a blast flying the 1900D, it has become my new favorite sight-seeing aircraft.Regards,Carl Moore

Hi,maybe this has been reported before in this forum but I couldn't find anything related to it. Yesterday, a friend of mine discovered an ambiguity of the digital (not band) altitude read-out on the PFD which indeed can be very irretating. Suppose you are at 9100 descending to 8900. If you go slitely below 9000 the first and second digits jump to 8 and 9, respectively, so that for a short moment the indication reads 8900 (the last two digits scroll through the field so that just below 9000 they are almost level with the first two digits). According to my friend, in reality (at least on the 747-400) the second digit would also scroll together with the last two digits out…

In approach mode, at least on my system, the aircraft is real sloppy in capturing and maintaining the localizer. Seems to wonder all over the approach sometimes coming in at an angle that is not safe. This occurs at normal approach angles and shallow angles as well. Checked this against the 1900 in FS2002 which I believe was essentially modeled on the Kingair 350 and there was no problem. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this issue and if so, any fix?

Hi PMDG Team, first, let me say I was wrong with my critics about the panel complexity. My apologies for that. After a few flights I have to say that it's really fun only to jump in and hand-fly this aircraft a short leg. But now there is the following question. The manual describes how to handle torque, rpm and fuel flow at the variuous stages of the flight, but what about the mixture? Is there a procedure how an when to lean?Regards, Tom.

Hi,I want to upgrade my computersystem soon. I still use Athlon 1.000mHz, ATI radeon 64MB, 40GB harddisc and 384 MB memory. I fly the PMDG 737NG with AS2004, Radar Contact, Ultimate Trafic and FS9 on Win2000. I get 12 FPS which is flyable ;-) The 737NG being a 'heavy' burdon on FPS.Now: what would increase the framerate? Processor? Fast Harddisc? Videocard with 256 MB? Is FS9 disc-intensive? Will it benefit from X.XGB internal Memory? Or does it still use the HD for scratch/Virtual Memory? What Framerates do you 737NG users get? Maybe this forum is not the best place to ask, but since the 737NG (B1900D and future products from PMDG included) is all I am ever going to fly, …

Hi,To all of you that have been having problems opening the cargo doors, I think I found a fix. If you first load another aircraft that doesn't have this problem (e.g., the default Cessna) and then load the NG the doors seem to work fine. I've included the flight files for the Day-1 setup in Tim Metzinger's great tutorial (version 2). It seems that saving a flight once the doors are working seems to save that condition. I'd be interested to hear if these files work for you.Charlie

Hi all,Today I read a very interesting post on the GoFlight forum :http://www.goflightinc.com/cgi-bin/ik/ikon...act=ST;f=8;t=27I came home and tried it and everything is working!!The only thing to do is register to FSUIPC, download the latest version and spend some time mapping the buttons.Basically, I mapped every button on my MPC to match the 737 hotkeys and it worked.I also mapped a RP48 module for the remaining functions of the MCP and the display fonctions (range, MAP/VOR display...)It is so cool now!!One thing though --> FSUIPC does not output to the goflight modules? This means the display on the MPC display is wrong even though the buttons work perfectly, but I…

How real is this soundset? I think it is indeed a great one. Yet, riding on SWA NGs often, I discover the takeoff power goes from the woooshing to a growling "fanny" sound. Why can not this pack be modified or enhanced for the -800 series to have that too? Has anyone here replaced this sound set with a better one? I doubt there are any. Just curious. Seems, one time, I heard a soundset from someone that had just that. Also, from sitting in passenger seat 1, I imagine this is fairly similar to what the pilots would hear? That means that things like the engines might be more noticeable. I have inched my engine sound slider up some and have actually increased the volume on t…
