Hey all,First of all this is a different problem to the one that's already been discussed (clicking turbine). This one is a long pause in the sound when the engines are brought out of a high power state and are winding down to idle and it only happens when in spot view. To hear this sit on the ground and wind the engines up to full. Once there (and stable) pull the power all the way down as if just after touch down (i.e. don't inch it back real slow). As you hear the prop sound get deeper as the rpm drops there should be a pause of at least a couple of seconds, after that the normal sound returns.I've noticed this happens at around the time both the turbine and propeller R…

Today I was trying to make a route from Amsterdam (EHAM) to Alicante (LEAL) using the 737-700. I was going through the FMC steps to make the route and when I tried to put the destination (LEAL) the FMC would give me a error. I have a Alicante scenery with a AFCAD2, but I deleted the scenery and tired to make the same route using the default scenery and default parking, but I still got a error when I tried to enter LEAL. Why can't I enter LEAL as a destination in the FMC??

Hello all, After alot of debate, I broke down and got PMDG's 737NG package. I don't know why I waited sooooo long! I love it, the wife hates it, it's perfect. Anyhow, last night I had a problem with my panel. I had been using a spot plane top down view(control+s), wanted to see how accurately I passed over a waypoint. When I went back into the cockpit, none of my panels were accessible. I couldn't even access anything on the main panel. All I got was a cursor arrow and a flashing hourglass. I remember a while back seeing something about a trapped control key, but couldn't find it with the search. Could this be it?ChuckCYXU

Hi, PMDGI just purchased your 737-600/700 today, and did some test flights with it, and I came out with some questions. 1. when I load the PMDG aircraft, say 737-700 2D cockpit only, and I click OK, it took some time to get back to the main "create a flight" menu...... unlike the other aircraft where it went back to the menu as soon as possible. Is it quite normal or is there anything i can do?2. when i'm about to take off, I advanced the throttle to about 40% N1 as the manual said.... then when i pressed N1 button on the MCP, the N1 light didn't illuminate.... the LNAV light appeared.... I already armed the A/T and set everything in FMC correctly.... I chose TO and C…

Hey all,Can anyone give me a hand with this? I'm trying to shift the CDU from it's default location to the lower right hand corner of the screen but I'm having some problems. I've tried various different combinations of numbers but I can't seem to get the thing to sit anywhere near the right hand side of the screen. Normally I wouldn't need to ask (I've been editing panel files for years) but this one's got me stumped. Can anyone help?CheersDavid

I was searching this forum a while back and saw some terrific images of repaints for the Beech 1900D. There was a KLM, British Airways and Impulse. I am curious to know if they were going to be uploaded to the Avsim library or to the PMDG site. They were amazing repaints, I am just curious about the status of them.Thank you for the reply.Kevin

I've run the 1.3 update and am unable to use my function keys (F7-extend flaps; F6-retract flaps; F1 Idle thrust; F2 Reverse Thrust. I've checked that all my keyboard assignements are mapped correctly and also tried the workaround hitting the CTRL button prior to function key use as well.Any other ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks.Pete in KORD

When I use the PMDG key assigner, I always get a CTD when I assign the key. I've tried deleting the key assignments in default MSFS first, tried doing it in out of full screen mode, but it crashes every time. The keys do end up being assigned when I reload, but it would be more convienient if the sim didn't crash whenever I had to assign a key.-Phil

Hi,Not sure what the following on the sales page exactly means:"For this file, you may ONLY use the download manager Download Accelerator Plus (DAP)."Does it mean it is the only possible way of downloading or does it mean this is the only possible download manager to use ? In other words, could I download using my web browser ? Does anyone have an idea about the possible download data rate for this ? (Just to get an idea whether not using a download manager has a good chance to succeed. I am on cable and if the server and the route in between is not too slow it shouldn't be a problem.)Regards,Siggy

I'm trying to download SU1.3 - from the Download page if you click on the download link for the upgrade it takes me back to the main download page; from the OIC page when I choose download I get the message:"Currently there are no files listed. Please check back later. Thank You"Is the file available anywhere else? Thanks,Jim Mendes

I think it may have been discussed before but I can not find any recent posts regarding this matter. When flying in LNAV mode, the aircraft tends drift slightly off the intended track and parallel the route. The longer the leg, the more error is present. Not only is this visible on the ND but on the PROG PAGE 2 of the FMS as well. I have seen X/TRK errors in excess of 4nm. I have attempted upgrades of FSUIPC as well as a complete reinstallation of FS2004 and the 737NG while trying to troubleshoot with no success.Any ideas on how to correct this problem. Thanks in Advance.PS: Aside from this issue, this airplane rocks!

I'll try to explain as detailed as possible what happened (yesterday's Groupflight), so maybe someone might shed some light on this mistery:I was flying normally with VNAV and LNAV, and then at one point, I decided to slow down, so that I'm not so much faster as everyone else. I switched from the VNAV to Speed, and dropped the speed. Ok, that was easy part. At that point, I was contacted by the US ATC, who gave me instructions to descend to FL110 by blahblah. I don't know how distant any more I was to that VOR, but I think it was around 100nm. I was at FL350 at that moment, and he told me to maintain maximum forward speed for spacing. I confirmed, set at the LEGS page for…
