OK. Sim paused.I'm flying ESSA-EDDF, on a heading of 255. ATC has told me I'm landing 7L. Flying pretty much parallel to the runway.Being well-behaved as I am I'm following ATC instruction, curious to see just how far past the airport it will send me before it turns me approx 180degrees for the approach.I got to 63.9nm PAST the airport before it all went t**s-up and ATC cancelled my IFR.Therefore, I have two questions for the learned amongst us:1/ Why did ATC send me 64nms PAST the airport with no instruction to turn for my approach?2/ Why, when I followed and replied to an instruction three minutes earlier, did ATC all of a sudden cancel my IFR with no warning?I was play…

This utility can automatically close down all those non-essential background programmes that use up your valuable system resourses, then it starts your flight sim and the support programs that you need. When you finish, it shuts fl sim and returns everything back to normal. I did a search and saw where some others had this same problem but didn't see any fix or explanation as to why.Everything seems to work fine upon loading and flying the a/c but when I go to close FS I get an error in FS2002.exe and kenne32. I've placed the GDI+ dll in the FS2002 directory. However I did a file find and found 2 other GDI+ dlls, 1 in Microsoft NetFrameworkv1.1.4322 size = 1664KB dated 2/16/03 and the other in WS_FTP Pro directory size = 1667KB dated 4/22/03. The one in FS2002 is 1667KB dated 8/23/01.I haven't tried updating the file but maybe that's the problem but I would like to know if someone else has any input for this error.

Hello and thanks in advance for any help, I have a logitech freedom 2.4 cordless joystick.When I use the view change button on the side of the joystick it jumps an image or two- from cockpit to spot or spot to tower. The key stroke works fine as does other aircraft views. I am wondering if it could be a problem within the pmdg environment? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated regards Rob

I have not been able to figure out how to use TCAS when flying online. I am wondering if I dont have something set right? I keep seeing "TCAS Off" while flying. I have downloaded the manual, but I can't figure out how to make it work. Any suggestions?Happy flying...

Hi,There. i just purchased new 737 800/900 transaction went ok i got all confirmation numbers and passwords and also the downloadble link to download the plane but after clicking on it i just got nothing but a error page saying the page i'm looking for can't be found :(( is there anybody there to help me with that thanks!!!!

1)I downloaded and use the 737NG fuel planner. Everytime so far, the fuel load the planner supplies, brings up an "insufficent fuel for the flight" message within the FMC and the programing stops.I then load the fuel using FS9 and load much more than what should be required. When I return to the FMC, I am then able to continue to finish loading the FMC data. 2)As the filght progresses, I start getting a "critically low fuel for the flight" banner that pops up throughout the flight. There is more than sufficent fuel on board. This has nothing to do with simmulator rate as it starts popping up during taxi, after take off and in cruise at normal sim rates. This is not a…

Hello, just purchased the NG 600-700 and I cannot tune the nav or adf radio, from the radio panel.(737-600vc-700vc wingtip model)The plus and minus icons show up when the hand cursor is over the buttons but when I press down on the mouse button the frequency does not change in the frequency display boxes nor do the switch buttons work for switching the standby frequencys to the active frequencys.I did not do any initalizing of the FMC due to the fact I just want to fly with the navigation radio's first before I tackel the FMC.I tried changing the frequency while the sim was running in full screen and windowed mode and when the radio screen was in docked and undocked mode…

I'd like to suggest sharing favourite FMC routes for use in the PMDG B737NG.I don't have many yet but for a start here's a route I flew yesterday from London Gatwick (EGLL) to Palma (LEPA) on the beautiful holiday island of Mallorca:EGKK26L SFD4M UA56 BENBO UA1 VEULE UL612 RBT UM728 PTV UN860 KUSOS UN855 KENAS KENAS1P LEPA24LGive it a try!I often have problem entering routes into the 737's FMC. I am unable to get the PMDG 800/900 to capture the localiser/glideslope, it just flies through it. I have tried a number of airports (in case the lcaliser was not correctly set up in FS2004).I am sure it is something silly that I am not getting right - could someone please let me have a check list of what needs to be set up so that I can check I have not missed anything eg - both nav radios set to ILS freq, correct intercept angle, APP button engaged etc etcThanks in anticipationChris Norman

I was just doing a flight which ended with a MS overstressed failure. I have never had this before in the NG, and recently upgraded to the 800/900, which may or may not be a coincidence. It may be a one off, but flying VNAV in the past, as I was today has sorted any speed related issues.If this is unique to me I'm more than happy to carry on, do the flight again, and put it down to experience. I would just like to know if anyone else has had a similar issue.Just for the record I thing the NG is a great aircraft.Geoff

What is the proper trim that the -800 and -900's should generally be set on? It seems while flying in VC, I have to raise the seat height view so high to see the runway on the approach when I am tracking the G/S. I think it may have to do with my trim setting being off. Thanks.

Yesterday I installed the UT palmspotter and TCAS into the PMDG 737NG aircraft series and after one successful flight FS9 refused to restart complaining that control.dll was unuseable then I got the FS9 has to shutdown message. As the only change I had made in recent days was the UT palmspotter & TCAS install into the PMDG 737NG I suspected this. A sucessfull FS9 reboot minus the PMDG aircraft seemed to confirm this was indeed the cause. I attempted to fix the problem by commenting out the relevant panel cfg entries but this didn't work. I then deleted my whole PMDG installation and reinstalled from scratch (quite a business - it would be good if this could be ste…

Hello PMDGI want to be able to manually tune the frequency of the PMDG Com radios without using the mouse, to try to make things a little more realistic in all the frequency switching between different controllers in VATSIM flights.I've got a registered version of FSUIPC, and I'm trying to use FSUIPC key programming to get keyboard control for tuning the Com radios. The native controls available through the FSUIPC key programming allows me to make keyboard changes to the standby frequency (left) side of both the PMDG COM1 and COM2 radios, and control the swap button for both radios. But there doesn't seem to be any keyboard programming controls available in FSUIPC that …

Two problems encountered with whay is otherwise the best addon ac out there!1. Cannot get anything to display in the lower E.I.C.A.S ie, controll surface synoptics2. At present it seems that it is not possible to fly a SID as well as haveing standard fs2004 atc cover because there is no way of exporting a flight plan from the FMC back to the fs flight planner once the sid has been added from the airac data base so it can be filed as a new flight plan with atc. If you want to fly IFR with a SID and ATC they will not recognise the sid as part of the flight plan obviously and terminate the flight plandue to deviation! Hi AllWas thinking about ordering/downloading the 737NG package-but I have a question regarding the "e-commerce system".I have access to a T1 line which speeds the download process up vs dial-up. My question is does the download have to be to the machine where FS9 resides or can I save the package to my harddrive on the T1 machine then move it over to the "Sim machine?"And then how do I activate the installation once I installed it on the FS9 machine? I am hoping it is just a key number doohicky but there are so many different methods to combatting piracy I'd hate to have my purchase mooroned.ThanksTim757 OLeary

On manual section 8 page 32 i read"along track waypoints are entered using the following format:FFF/#DD"Where FFF is fix id#is eighter + or - depending on needDD is distance in nm.But such an entry is not accepted in my FMC :(It keeps telling me "invalid entry".Is it really simulated?
