Hi all,Many (many) moons ago when I was learning about FS, I read a 1001 posts about all things related, including the difference between IAS/TAS and GS.Without exception, fellow flyers would say to use IAS as opposed to TAS (an option in FS) as this more accurately reflects "real life".Being a aviation "nut", I also read many articles on this subject, and all roads pointed to IAS being the desired speed indicator to use.And life was good.I'm sure there are differing points of view on this (really??), but when nearly everyone says the same thing, you can assume it's gospel.So......why does my beloved PMDG 737 600/700 show TAS to the right of GS on the PFD?No, I'm not havi…

Seems like in other planes the HSI in GPS mode automatically changes the course to the one programmed in the GPS for the current leg, while in the PMDG B1900 you need to manually change it each time you pass a waypoint. Is this how it is supposed to work?Mark Kuebeler

Hi everyone!Though I like the rolling digits of the alt+spd tapes, they could still be improved (and I guess it's not that difficult to do): There are still some cases where you don't know if it's 299 or 290 kts (as example), because the 2nd digit doesn't change (or roll up/down) as fast as it should. In X-plane (demo d/l v7.41) this is done absolutly great and realistic (there are so many other shortcomings, but this is implemented really good+realistic). I think the only thing one would have to do is increase the "changing speed" of the 2nd digit. Maybe you guys at PMDG could do it without any difficulties?!Best regards,Stefan Bergert

I've already purchased the 737 NG on a CD from Aerosoft.com but was wandering if I can download the upcoming 747-400 using a 56k modem and have it come in because I do not have the proper download accelerator. I'm using the 'GetRight' accelerator and somebody mentioned in a previous post that the accelerator (DAP) would work on the PMDG site. Can you verify this or should I just attempt to purchase and download it using my existing 56k modem or should I wait 6 months until Aerosoft decides to issue a CD Version??I really would like a PMDG reply to this one.Regards once again,Jack

Hi All,I have tried and tried to make myself and cold and dark startup flight for the 600,700,800 & 900, whenever I try to do this, shortly after I take-off my radios lock up.Does anyone have some cold and dark startup flights that do not lock the radios up?CheersDan.

I can't get the PMDG 737 to do a pushback turn. I tried shtP 1 or 2, yet it will not turn on pushback. I thought it was a MSFS 2004 problem, but I get pushback turns with the PSS Airbuses. Can anyone help with this problem?

When the clickable VC update for the 737-600/700 is released, will it also include the frame rate optimization that was programmed for the 737-800/900 series? I bought the whole package and fly the 800/900 series because of the frame rate optimization and was just wondering if the 600/700 will have that applied to it as well.Thanks.

Hello,When ever I have a fuel imbalance and I open the cross feed valve should the fuel level in the lower tank not increases? At the moment this doesn't happen, maybe you could fix this for the 747?Also, when on the ground and everything is off the standby artificial horizon's gyro flag appears but the horizon is level. Will this also be looked at for the 747?Cheers,Paul

I encountered this problem last night. Everytime I turn the Speed Reference Selector knob to WT or VREF, the PFD goes partially blank, then FS crashes to the desktop. I've done this twice to make sure that it wasn't a fluke the first time. I didn't see this included with the newly coming patch information but maybe I missed it. Hopefully someone can help me with this issue. ThanksRyan

Why can't PMDG provide those customers with 56k modems a 'CD VERSION' of their products. I'm I the only one that feels this way or is there some underlying reason that they do not provide this service?? Regards,JackKGSP

PMDG,Is there anyway we could incorporate this feature of a data printer in the 744? I was thinking about the possiblity and what we could do. One train of thought I had would be to have a menu of possible print outs such as a Performance Data Message and Loadsheet message (see below for examples) which could be created through the load edit and calculations in the FMC, when all these are completed a message could be selected from the PMDG menu. Perhaps showing ZFW, TOPL, FLAP selection. QNH, Temp and flight number would all be entered into the FMC allowing it to be read directly from there. NAT track messages would be harder to create but with some thought could be done.…

I`ve tried several times to buy the 1900D but each time after completing my details, I get an error asking me to enter a value into the "Bill to: zip" at the top LHSide. I baught a superb new system to avoid FS-slide show when I fly.Things are runnig better but not all are better like the PMDG B737 2D panel, it's more blury...not crisp att all, the VC is better than ever.The new system is a P4 3.4Mhz 1024RAM and a ATI Radeon X800Pro, with new catalyst drivers.If somebody knows what the best high preformence Radeon settings in FS are, it would be nice to know./JD

Hi all, I want to ask the PMDG team if the Boeing 747 will have 3 fmc's just like the real thing, 2 for pilot and co-pilot and one in the rear of the cockpit. Also will the fmc control the taxi directions along taxiways and to gates etc as in real 747 to if there is CatIII at airport.RegardsDavid Bowen

There seems to be demand for it from other than myself, as evidanced in the linked thread, and the 56K'ers say that a 20MB file wouldn't be a problem.So what say you? Hi all, I've been using the PMDG 737 since day one, and I really think it's great, thanx.I also bought immediately the 800/900 expansion, but only started to use the 800 model this week.I've been using only the 700 so far, and I've been surprized from the differences between the 700 and the 800, expecially when it comes to slow down during the descent.I have not a great experience so I ask you if it's normal that on similar weight configuration and descent profile I can easily slow the speed on the 700 and viceversa almost gain speed on the 800.Thanx in advanceRoberto

Hello friendsPropably a silly question, allow me please ..I do the cockpit preparations, start up the engines but when it comes to start up the right engine (left or both) then they start up and then goes down again. I am confused, i open the throttle panel but how do i open up the cut off leveler at 20% N2 ..Also, the low pressure lights are on, can't turn them off. Propably i do not do something right or at all. Sorry i can not give you more information i am not on my pc for the moment.Could someone help...?thanx in advanced, have a nice day, nikolas
