Hello,I just want to know if the problem with starting up the NG is addressed in Service Update 1? I mean that the N1 should go near 25 %, not stop on 22 and also I always get hot start with my 738, the EGT increases dramatically fast when opening fuel valve, but in real the EGT starts to increase as slow as the other gauges (N1, N2 etc). Im not sure if its possible to fix them as they may be problems of FS, but would be nice! :)

Maybe it's just my eyesight however prior to today I've never noticed the Gradient Path indication on the legs page of the FMC. I was flying into TIJUANA and it showed 3.5 degrees to the runway which was cool. Has this always been there or is it an update enhancement?Whichever it is I am impressed as it's another page in my Bulfer book which provides advice on the PMDG.

Over the last two days I've experienced a problem which I have not been aware of before. Firstly my understanding is as follows. If flying with the autothrottle engaged VNAV or the MCP Speed/N1 will control my speed. Even if I disengage VNAV or the autopilot the autothrottle will continue to control speed whilst armed. I have been quite happy wih this logic for some time, however yesterday and today I did flights into MMTJ ( TIJUANA ) and had problems.Basically the approach to runway 27 is a VOR/DME one.In this scenario I tend to hand fly as soon as I can see the runway. As the approach has some terrain the decsent is a little steeper than standard (3.5 degrees). I dia…

Hello, I purchased the PMDG 737-600/700 awhile back and I noticed that the new version 737-900 has more options and working things then the old version. I was wanting to know since they designed the aircraft will PMDG ever apply these same features to the older version. I am willing to pay extra for the new features and added effects such as a correct ligthing of panel and the other new features as in the newer/larger version. This is very important for all sim pilots that fly the smaller 737 because in the real world many airports do not have the larger 737's coming into their airport besides that it would be great to have that aircraft working as it really does in real …

I might be the only one with this "issue" but I get RAs quite a bit during my descents telling me to basically hold my altitude. If this is prolonged, it can be quite a hassle getting back onto the VNAV des path. I had to do 2 360 degree turns at various points to get back on the track. Does anyone else have a technique that doesn't allow overspeeds or excessive descent rates?

Hi,I am attempting to download Rob Barendregt's Groundhandling Gauges(rcbgh-31.zip) from the AVSIM library, but the included gif file(rcbgh-31.gif) gives a CRC error. I downloaded a number of times as advised, but have the same problem each time. I wonder if the overall file is available at any other location, or could someone kindly send it to me(if that is permitted?)?Many thanks,FrankEmail: [email protected]

Is there any way to import a flight plan from FS9's flight planner directly into the FMC in the 737-700 NG? Thanks,Keith Giveans

I've been wondering for some time what the green circles are on the route on the attached picture. I cannot find them in my reference material so any help would be appreciated. They are not TOD related as far as I know, but am happy to be corrected.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/85085.jpg

I've only noticed this since installing the 800/900 series update, but the flight controls seem to be unresponsive, ie, I seem to have lost my rudder, it kicks left/right then immediately centres itself again, also the flaps have gone, if i lower them they immediately reset to retracted. Any ideas? Please forgive me if this has been asked before but i searched a number of pages to do with 8/9 series and couldn't find anything.I do have 3 Joysticks, but only one has any particular item activated, ie pedals=rudder, X45 throttle controls throttle, and the sidewinder ff2 for flight controls, I know u say it's best not to use force feedback, but i never had this problem before…

I was wondering if there are special keyboard commands for this 737 NG? Like keyboard presses that bring up all the panels. I noticed that there is a 'gray rectangle' with letters in it refering to the panels, but what are the keyboard commands? Thanks, Waldo.

HiWhen i Do a long flight 2hrs+ and io fly the route using VNAV with the autothrottles armed, the right throttle jams when i Use LVL CHANGE to descend. This problem does not go away even after i disarm the Autothrottle and it jams at around 50% N1. The throttle on the Joystick does not respond at all, but only on the right engine (left functions NORMALLY. The throttle also looses response on the popup panel- to an extent. whilst this still controls the throttle, it is not smooth and accurate possitioning for landing and glideslop capture is mpossible as the power needs to be (badly) adujsted using the mouse, almost impossible whilst flying using the stick.Any Ideas on wh…

Hey guys,Built a new machine and as always I got everything backed up, meaning I have the .EXE files of the NG and 800/900. When the plane gets loaded it asks for the the registration code. Where might that be or located??? I have all my confirmation emails and I don't see a registration code in there anyways, and the link to download does not work.So I sent a email to PMDG lost products, but I have not lost the product or any documentation. What's my options here, like to back flying by tonight.

Could someone make the Nolan Ryan Express Southwest livery into a wingletted version? The plane in real life has already been outfitted with them and I would like to fly it in MSFS. If someone knows how to put winglets on the existing plane, then that would do, too I guess. Thanks!Preston G.

Can anyone tell me if you can simply purchase a package that will just download every single sid/star with their transitions available in the world. Would I then just need to update the FMC with the latest AIRAC NAVDATA cycle? How important is it to have the "latest AIRAC NAVDATA" cycle and if I'm using an old one, does it effect compatability with sid/stars or anything else? The reason I ask about the sid/stars is that there are so many missing. For example, I want to fly the ryanair route to LFMK Salvaza but there are no stars available (I can't even find a non precision approach for runway 28 in sim charts!! there seem to be plenty for 10).But its not just LFMK, there a…

Hi,I've been having this problem from time to time : in cruise my T/D starts jumping e.g. 5nm before a VOR, then it changes to 5NM after a VOR, like it doesn't know where to start descend. And there are no altitude constrictions like "above x altitude"Anybody a clue why this happens ?

After a couple of hours practicing flying I have noticed sound problems that seem to be related to the 2D views. There is a hiss and sometimes I hear a quiet sound like radio static. When viewing from side views these weird sound problems do not exist; so only when using the 2D forward panels does it show up. Whenever I use the Approach view the sound problems temporarily cease and all gauges work. So I am guessing the forward main view is the culprit. Along with the sound issues is a problem with the gauges not moving and the joystick not working. By flipping from the forward view to the Approach view and back, all is ok again. Weird! I am wondering if sound files are no…

Hi,I'm spent almost as much time admiring the visual model of the 737NG as I have in (trying) to fly the aircraft. Last night, I was doing yet another walk around(as part of Timothy Metzinger's excellent tutorial), and noticed two vertical lines on the radome, one above the nose tip(between cockpit and nose) the other below the nose tip(between nose and gear). I think I noticed them because, at first, I thought it was a gap or fault in the way the front of the aircraft was assembled(please forgive my entertaining such thoughts :-)). On closer inspection, the lines seem to be incised on the radome, so I'm sure they must be a feature?. If it's not too anorak a question, are…

I got my PMDG 737NG last week and have been flying it ever since. I was heavily involved in PC sims a few years ago, and decided that it was taking over my life, so I dropped out for awhile. I recently purchased a new PC and shortly after FS2004. FS2004 has got me re-addicted, but the addition of the PMDG 737NG is beyond all my expectations. A few years ago I had the chance to fly a commercial 767-400 full motion sim ( about $27 million bucks for that one) for about 6 takeoffs and landings to a full stop, and I get almost the same thrill out of landing my PMDG as I did out of flying that 767 and landing that ( a hard landing would be felt in that one :)). It seems t…
