I am finally ready to get the -600/-700. I understand that one must have this first and you can then instal the latest -800/-900 separately.My question is this: does the -800/-900 just instal on top of the 600/700 cockpit? Do you need to need to do any serious editing of files or folders in order to instal the -800?Appreciate any advice/guidance on this, thanks!JS

I got the 800-900 series yesterday and for awhile it had this great sound when you adjusted the trim prior to takeoff. All of a sudden, the sound disappeared. Anyone have any idea what could have happened? I checked in the PMDG sound folder in the main FS9 sound folder, and both the trim up and down sound files are there and they work when I click on them .Well, after I posted this, I found a fix. I couldn't figure out how to delete this post , so this is what I did to get the sound back. I had to select another PMDG 737 and then the trim sound worked in that aircraft. Then I reselcted the plane I had been using and now the sound is back on that one too. :)

Hi,I've been following Timothy Metzinger's fine tutorial on the PMDG 737NG, but have had some problems creating the base scenario for the flights. After a number of attempts, I managed to save a flight with a cold & dark cockpit(PMDG 737NG 700 series), but there are still some issues:1. When I load the saved flight, the cockpit is indeed cold & dark, but the engines are not shut down fully, and take a minute or so to spool down completely. This is the case despite the fact that throttles/fuel switches are in the cutoff position.2. If I switch to another flight and plane which has the engine(s) running, and then switch back, the 737 engines are also running, althou…

Now I've installed your marvellous 737-800/900 I encouter the following minor problem:Flying flightlevel FL220 (for example), altimeter set to standard atmosphere (1013/2992) and altimeter showing 22000 my pilotvoice says the following: "KLM 737 is at flightlevel 223 descending flightlevel 220". This might be correct when not flying at flightlevels, because my altimeter was previously set at (about) 3036 QnH.Or am I doing something stupid? In the FORECAST page, within DESCENT, there's the spot for three altitudes and projected winds, but how does one know what to put in the ISA area. It's white and not grayed out, so I assume it does something?Thanks,Chris

Frequently (but not always) when I switch to the Overhead Panel after starting the 737 NG application and start powering the plane up, I switch on the Ground Power and then switch on the Battery Switch, I have no power to the Radios or the Temperature Display. If I cycle the Standby Power switch off and on I then have power. What am I doing wrong? I am I shutting down the aircraft's power system improperly on the previous flight or what?Tom Taylor:-(

Well I downloaded the 737-800-900 today and have been flying it " all " day. I am having one problem with it, and that is the altimeter. I can't seem to get it out of the mode it is in which is Hg.... rather than inches of mercury. I have clicked everything that I believe is responsible for this, and nothing happens. The selection knob doesn't even move. Is there a fix for this.

hello,I make ivao ifr world tour and have a leg CYEG-KJAC to do but when I type KJAC as arrival or departure, I had "KJAC error:rwy 36 unknown" who appeared in scratch pad line. What is the problem and how could I solve this? While flying the PMDG 737, my computer crashes. It freezes and my PC makes many loud annoying shrieking sounds. It usually happens about a half hour into the flight while I'm climbing through the 20K's. It didn't used to happen until the past few flights I've flown. I changed my video drivers, but that hasn't helped. I'm using the official 61.76 drivers on my GeForce 4 Ti 4400. Has anyone heard of, or had this kind of problem?Thanks,Tim

Sir, Since May this year I have been trying to get the PMDG 600/700 UP AND RUNNING,I have etried everything but as I have said since Maythe pc either crashes or just hangs,I sent the PC back to the manufacturer to get checked out the report came back as being ok!!as it was still under warranty he thought there might be a hard drive problem and this he replaced,I reinstalled the 737,and the pc still crashes or hangs?After the instal was completed,i ewas advised to shut down and restart pc,then select liveries,nearing the end of the livery instal a window appeared and warned me that the PC had encountered something about a 'Kernel'?? and that the pc would shut down to avoid…

I just wanted to say thanks to the development group for producing the 737NG product. Up until now, I've using PS1 747-400 for getting the feel of the FMC, and now, at last, I can move away from it and achieve what I want within FS2004. Although PS1 is excellent in many ways, it is showing its age in terms of graphics and usability on modern systems: I was delighted to discover virtually all of the functionality to be available on the 737. Money well spent! (as was the 800/900 upgrade)I hope that you don't mind a couple of newbie questions.Firstly, is there some way of finding which airfields have available SID/STAR's (and maybe even transitions) at the flight planning…
