Not a major problem, but just thought id mention it, when going to a window using alt+enter, then trying to go back to full screen again using alt+enter, program crashes, and mouse pointer goes crazy flicking between pointer and egg timer.doesnt have with default planes so guessing its the 737 causing it.Again not a moan or a gripe doesnt bother me at all really, just thought id warn ne one who hasnt saved a flight not to try thisSTEVE

Hi. I am stuck on the intruductory flight that the 737-600/700 add-on gives you. On the takeoff section in the manual it says....'Check the settings on MCP. The speed should be set to v2 + 10kts. HDG should be 237 and ALT set to 10000.'first question.Do i have to get in touch with ATC via the ' key and number commands? If so where do i go? East, West, Depart straight out, Remain in pattern?2nd question.Do i have to punch the headings, altitude etc for takeoff into the MCP like i would if i werent using the mod? And where would i find or how would i set speed v2 + 10 kts. After inputting the data into the FMC the MCP heading, speed and altitude boxes all contain no values.…

My first couple of flights ran without any problems. Now, as I`m coming in to land, the auto-throttle cuts out, and nothing I do will bring it in again. Auto pilot is engaged and everthing else is working. I have the glide slope engaged and the aircraft is lined up for a straightforward landing.Then the throttle cuts out and my speed drops off and that`s the end of that flight.Just to make sure, I ticked the unlimited fuel box, but it made no difference.Any ideas would be appreciated.David

Hello Captains, This is my first post in AVSIM, and before saying anything, I HATE MY SCREEN NAME! And unfortunately can't change it:( . I'm only a Cessna pilot in real life. Second, I had a question... I would like to know if winglets in PMDG's 737s change the performance like they do in real 737s?If they don't, then how are the planes configured? I have been attempting to fly a fictional Federal Express cargo route as realistically as possible. Have had some problems with starting from a cold start and losing my IFR plan with FS2004 so ATC will work right along with my FMC. What is the best "pre-flight" so to speak to load up cold and fly, I realize i need to be in flight before I can safely save my in progress flight. I have read about the save Cessna cold, with avionics on so my radios will stay working, also bound the master avionics on key to something, though the bus dc volts are low sometimes keeping the ATC from working even though NAV and adf do work. Hi guys. I was practicing some go-arounds today and noticed that when I press TO/GA button (expecting 160kts speed, Vref30 was 140kts), FD bars lead me to 174kts speed. Now I ask you: Ain't I supposed to maintain Vref30+20 until flap retraction speed? Why did my PMDG chose speed 174, that is above the "15" in the speed tape?Am I doing something wrong, or this is really a bug?Note: I tried this with 3000LBs of fuel on both wing tanks and 0LBs in the center tank. Vref15+20 is less than 174, either. I was flying the -800 at KSEA, and used Flap 30 for this approach. All V2+20 speeds on takeoff were below 174, and my ZFW is 124.8x1000LBs.Hope you can help meThanks,

I was using the Alaska -700 last night from KSEA-CYVR. When I went to select the approach, the only one available was the NDB 26L. I know for a fact there is at least one ILS at CYVR, but why was it not available? My only thought is that the particular STAR I had selected was only for the NDB approach. (I don't remember which one I used) I don't have much experience on the other side of the border, so maybe someone with some Canadian experience could help me out?

Hi folks,I was approaching EIDW Dublin today, altitude was around 7000 ft and decreasing. I set the ILS frequency for runway 10 about 5 minutes ago and I got the localizer already. Then, for some reason all the navigation instruments displayers went like yellow and no changes in NAV frequencies could be made. Also the COM1 was out of order. Though it was possible to change NAV2 frequency and ADF radios were working just fine.Is it some kind of unexpected failure that I have never met before or something that we can consider as bug? Whats the logic with regard to having the seatbelt sign selected to auto. Does the aircraft automatically turn the seatbeltsw on and off, and if so, at what sort of levels.Thanks for any help.-Phil

Hey fellow 737NG drivers,I'm really happy with my Bobby and I haven't had any issues to solve so far. Well but now for a week or so all the 737NG models behave weird. For example, the -600 and -700 calculate take off speeds which are just off the line. 152kts V1 with a payload of 103000lbs payload seems way to much, actually it should be something around 115kts. Then the next thing, my -800 doesn't calculate any speeds for me at all anymore. I checked the GW but it's within normal parameters.If I get the bird off the ground all this continues...FMC suddenly says "unabale CRZ Alt" although I haven't change any of my procedures. Hi,My question is about the use of the various lights (wing lights, strobe etc) in the check list, it says to use them `as required` but I don`t know at what points in the flight each of them is turned on or off.Could someone please tell me (for each external light) when each is in use and when not.RegardsBernard

Captains-We have had a bit harder time getting the beta test completed on the Model Update and the 800/900 Service Update than originally anticipated.Out beta testers discovered that fixes we made to the electrical system uncovered a minor flaw in another system- and it has take nsome work to resolve the issue satisfactorily!We have worked out all of the kinks now, we THINK- but it will be a few more days before we are prepared to put them on the server for you. A little while ago I asked a question about getting ILS frequencies for strange airports from the FMC. The answer was that it is on the approach ref page. Well sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't. The manual says this will displayed after an instrument approach is selected for the destination airport. How do I do this? Clearly selecting the runway is not enough.Many thanksRichard

Hi everybody,When flying I prefer to use the 2d cocpit. I have a strange problem: When enlarging the screen (shift-f2) the initial small screen just freezes. I mean the screens of the artificial horizon and the flight following screen, I just forgot their respective names. The airplan follows its course and nothing happens but I can only use the large screen. When I try to go back (e.g. to set the autobrakes for landing as this will be covered by the large screen) there's just a frozen picture representing the situation the airplane was in when I first pressed shift-f2 and I'm forced to use the large screens. I read the part about " Actual name" in the forum guidelines when I started posting here a couple of weeks ago. I assumed that actual name meant your first and last name, so that is what I put in my signature, although I have made it a habit of not doing this in the past, on web sites. I have also noticed that quite a few people that posted no name at all, were reminded in the replies to their posts, to use their names per the rules. In reading many messages on this group over the last week or so, I see quite a few with just a first name only , listed. I read three today alone. I haven't read any comments about using only the first name. Is that is what is mean't by a…

Hello Fellow Aviators, I'm happy to announce I have just completed a Cargolux B737 for all those interested. If your interested in Cargolux or fly for a Cargolux VA I hope you like this. Hello, I've recently bought the boxed version of the 737NG. It's well-made, I especially enjoy the sounds in the cockpit and the fact that you can operate the plane completely from the virtual cockpit perspective, even use the FMC in the virtual cockpit. However I noticed that the overhead panel is kind of dead. The switches are all in the off position and the overhead panel is in the "cold aircraft" state. Nothing ever changes up there, even if I operate the switches on the 2D overhead panel and for example switch on all lights or start the engines. When I select the 737-700 with VC, cabin, winglets and stairs the overhead panel doesn't even have modeled switches, but it…

Hi guys,I started to have a weird problem.Sometimes (well, most of the time) when i try to load the PMDG 737NG series from the AIRCRAFT menu, just the model get loaded. The AIRAC Database loading window don't appear and when i get to the airport, the default C172 panel loads instead of the 737NG panel! The model is ok.Everything was working fine before. In other tests i opened PSS/CAPTAINSIM/CARENADO and everything worked fine. I loaded one of these aircraft from the MAIN menu, chose my airport, start flight, and everything ok.
