Just a word to the wise ........Recently, I've been reading all the posts about all the little sliders in FS9 being pushed over to the right and running all the add ons under the sun.Even more recently, I began wondering whether my setup was "not quite right". I'm using Fred's most excellent tutorial Version 2 to get the 700 flying, and have a question about autopilot initiation.Page 33 tells me to turn on the autopilot at 1000 feet. A little later on the same page there is an instruction to engage CMD A autopilot after passing 2500 feet - but I have already turned on CMD A at 1000 feet. Or is there another AP switch I have missed somewhere?Thanks for any advice.--Bryn

Hello PMDG and everyone elseI know from Robert's announcement that the upcoming update won't address the IRS. It is the fourth update for the PMDG737 and everyone is talking about the 747 now.But even tough I've searched the forum there has never been an answer from PMDG concerning the IRS update. It was told us that the 737 will definitely have an IRS one day. But since most of the development has moved on to the 747 and no one will work on the 737 after the SP4 will we ever see an IRS?There also was a pinned post about two or three month ago saying that the IRS will come in a separate update and that it will be released soon. Hi all,I have just bought and installed a Sapphire Radeon 9800 pro card and up to now am a little disappointed. The main issue that I have is that if I enable the AF in the custom options my panels look very dull and unclear, as soon as I disable this it returns to normal. Now I know it would be easy to just disable it but every tweaking thread I have read says to enable it to at least 8x. If anyone can please help I would greatly appreciate it!!!My specs are Win XP PROIAthlon XP28001024 RamRadeon Pro 9800Asus A7N8X MOBOThanks for the help,Garry.

dear you all,I updated my 737 NG to the 800/900 series along with the service update pack 1.3 and I found my Lnav stopped tracking. Had to use Hdg Select to fly the plane for 3 hrs after that... :(Does anyone hav similar probs? Any suggestions to get around this?Another matter, does anyone know who i can contact if I want to hav new liveries painted for the 800/900?Thanks in advance..

Hi Pete, can you help a brotha out..I've done a few paints and had them posted. However, none of them are with reflective textures. I'm trying to figure out how you get the reflective paints done. I mean could you provide a step by step process, Please?? ThanksTroy

I have posted on this before with no help offered....please take a look at the pics and maybe you can tell me what I cold be doing wrong.This is taken at KPAE...default everything, 8x AA and 2x ASF. As you can see there is a problem somwhere and its not my system speed. Dear flightsimmers ,Last Friday I installed the latest (final) update.Today , I made my first test-flight (LIMC - LEIB) with the NEOS 737NG.Just before take-off I put on the FD-button and the Auto-throttle (A/T ARM).This button doesn't work. A green light for a short time (a few seconds) and then ... finished. No auto-throttle.So , a manual take-off. When I'm 500 ft above the ground I engaged the AP , VNAV and LNAV. Everything works fine except the auto-throttle.Is there someone with the same problem ? Or did I forget something ?Before the final update I had no problems with the A/T ARM-button. Is there any way to save a flight so that when the PMDG aircraft loads at startup it is with all power on? I can't do any better than engines running but no electrical power. I have to go turn every thing on after load up.Steve Chappel

Hi all, Just wondering if anybody might be able to tell me what's wrong with my Internet Explorer. When I go to the PMDG downloads section, it says "Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames." I'm using IE 6. Is there a setting for this? I had a look around and couldn't find anything. I'm also using McAfee Internet Security, but I don't think this is to blame.Any ideas?ThanksKael

Hi !I just saw the information Video on Boeing.com and i was wondering if you do the 747-400ER also. I don't now much about the changes on the 747-400ER to the earlier 747-400, but i think there can't be a big differencem. It would be great to have the 747-400ER also modeled, cause it would make the 747-400 Family complete.Thanks a lot.Marcello

Hi PMDG,I recently noticed that the 3 BA fantasy repaints (including the winglets one from Dan) wouldnt give the correct ATC "speedbird" callsign.So I looked into the aircraft.cfg and noticed the atc name was "speedbird". Also I have Ultimate Traffic installed so I looked at their AI BA callsigns, which work, and noticed their entry in the aircraft.cfg was "speed bird".After modifying the PMDG ones this resolved the problem. My question is, are the PMDG call signs not working because of Ultimate Traffic? Or... I did update the FS2004 ATC Airline list recently but cant remember how, maybe that caused the problem?I would love to fix the Boeing Corporate ATC callsign beca…

Experiencing a strange engine problem for the last couple of days (since installing update - but hopefully not related!):During a flight the engines stop responding to manual thrust inputs. I notice the problem when I disconnect autothrottle on final approach. Joystick throttle fails to have any effect on engine power.Re-engaging autothrottle and speed mode then disconnecting again seems to solve the problem - but hardly ideal.

I've never before had a problem with the airstairs; I assigned a key combination in FS and they extended fine on the airstair-equipped aircraft. Now they have just stopped working.I've re-assigned the key combination then returned to the original combination - but nothing works. I'm confused! G;day..The 737 is great but I can only acess it through the pre set flight menu..If I try to change aircraft type from the cessna in create flight my system shows a grey 737 the the screen goes grey and the pc locks up..What the ???I have xp ..a 200 athlon with 512 meg ram , a ge cube radion 240meg vid ram ,old creative soundblaster.an MSI ultra motherboard.Maybe the 737 install path was wrong? has anyone had thia problem or have a list of where all the files go?I have no problems with fs9 otherwise.Thanks in advance ..Greg ..long jetty Australia:-(

that I can't take off because the airport is flying IFR only.I had the FMC programmed for a trip to KLAX.So what are we supposed to do under this circumstance?Is there a way to give Fs2004 my FMC plan?

Could someone tell me the size of the download file for the PMDG 737 800/900 Version 1.1 ?? The information on the PMDG website for Technical info has the version 1.0 dated Apr 04 listed at 46megs but I don't see the size mentioned for the latest version 1.1. Since I will be attempting to download this file using the download accelerator version "DAP", I would like to know the size of this file.If anybody has had a problem downloading this file size (whatever it it may be) using the "DAP" accelerator, please let me know.Thanks & Regards,JackKGSP

Hi !The Clock in the 737NG is not working with higher simrates than 1x, so when i fly a 4 hour flight at 4x Rate, the clock only shows one hour of flight. Is there a chance that you'll fix that, other addon programs or the FS standard Airraft Clocks's work with 4x Rate.Thanks a lot.Marcello

I was flying LNAV when ATC instructed me to track radial 055 once crossing the next VOR in the flight plan.I already had the ILS tuned into VOR1 as I was only a few miles from the airport.How should I have come off LNAV and instead tracked the 055 radial outbound using NAV2 or the FMC?I just used heading mode and hoped the winds would die down ;)Gavinhttp://www.interprom.com/gavhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpgSpellink doesn't count!!

Hi all ,I dont have the 800/900 Addon , not because i dont like it , because i am happy learning to fly the PMDG 737-600 :) so my Q is , will the 600/700 packkage be forgotten ?No more Service updates or new features ? Will the 800/900 packs get more features because there newest out ? i hope noone forgets the 600/700s :( Whats the future like for PMDGs base pack that brought them into MSFS addon developement ?Calum
