    I just purchased the product, and this is something probably simple, but as soon as PMDG loads 737-700, the warning horn goes off and cannot be turned off. This occurs even before the module is loaded, and it did it right from the first installation. I cannot find anything that is not set correctly, although I am certain it must be a control surface setting, even though the throttles are at idle.Do I have the program set up incorrectly, the simulator, or the aircraft itself?

    Is it necessary to explicitly hit the second autopilot to ON to achieve autoland? I hit the second AP button at 1500 AGL just to be sure but I wasn't sure if it's actually necessary or whether the system self checks and auto-arms both channels if all's well passing 1500' AGL.Appreciate clarification, thanks!Jonathan

    Further to my previous post on the subject, I have now done some research. My original question asked if 5000' is a reasonable min runway length for a tour I'm putting together. I had a mixed response so I decided to try it.I used Vagar [EKVG]which is just over 4000' long as it's one of my proposed stopping points. I have checked and it gets 737 traffic in RL.Having done a few tests I decided the 600 was the best fit for this exercise.     i've just found an error in the lights in the recently updated 600/700 VC.when in 2D panel mode you use the lights everything works as it should. i then go into the VC & if any of the lights are on i get a strange effect with some of the VC texture changing to lit mode & some not. if i switch all the lights off it stops, but as soon as i turn any of them on again it comes back.anyone else seen this?

    Please don't blast the new guy but I have a question that I hope will be wasy to answer. Though first I must say I am very impressed. I haven't played a simulator since PMDG came out with an aircraft for Fly! I played that briefly until life got in the way and now I am finally back. I have bought and upgraded to the -800/900 and therefore am stuck with my MS sidewinder joystick, no more money :( I have found trying to use the reverse thrusters a pain to work and would like to map them to the joystick if I could but I can not seem to find a command in the key assignemnts. Can anyone help?Dustin Pearson

    Hi I was wondering if it is worth it to buy the 800/900 upgrade I already have the 6/700 and love it but the only thigs i'm wondering about are the frame rates, right now with the 600/700 in 2d panel at a mid sized airport like KSJC or KHOU I get decent frame rates....13-17 FPS I know its slow for most of you but ive really gotten used to it. But the main questions are.....1) Will it take up tons of frame rates? 2) How many MB is the download?3) What are the best things about the upgrade?4) Where can I get a lot of screenshots of it?     This morning, I noticed that my Ground Power Light never Llights anymore and I tried several large airports, gate combinations and switched planes. Battery shows drain when switched on, and of course without ground power, will continue to drain until APU is started. . Anyone have this happen. Flying mostly the 800 with the update.

    Dear PMDG,I have noticed this for the second time in a few days so I took a screenshot, it happend once here at Jacksonville, and once in the UK.I am flying towards the VOR called NIP, and I noticed two things.   22. Well, this evening, I did it. Near perfect autoland into KIAD 1L, first time round in the 737-600 in PMDG colors. At 120K lbs for approach, FMC indicated Vref was about 128 for flaps 30, so I set 133 in MCP SPD. Set real wx and had significant x-wind from 3500 MSL, but did perfect LOC capture, perfect dual channel capture at 1500' RA, horrible x-wind on final that rounded on me to become a 17-knot quartering tail-wind by short final! PFD provided flaps guidance and pitch ranged from 4 to 5 deg all the way down on the GS. Annunciations seemed beautiful. AP didn't miss a beat, perfect retard, perfect t/d, AT disconnected fine by itself, I activated reversers and steer…

    I am putting together a route which I want to fly make available in the NG and need to know what a reasonable runway length is. Although I have the 800/990 I am planning the route based on the 700 or even 600 if it helps as this is common to all owners.My initial thoughts are to choose runways 5000' or more and this should be OK. Does this sound reasonable as long as I don't have tail winds or very heavy loads.I have looked at the performance charts and this seems OK.I would appreciate your thoughts.

    How far away from the airport would the pilot start the descent?How far away from the runway would the pilot have the aircraft lined up and have the descent trajectory correct; hence being ready to capture the G/S and possibly use Autoland?Waldo
