Dear PMDG,Since I have installed the 800/900 service update, it appears that I get the speedtape to zero situation much more often than usual.This has happend to me before, but not so many times! It happens even cruising at 19,000.The result is the autothrottle kicks into max power to try to correct the wrong speed. Hence the true airspeed goes up and well into the MSFS "overspeed" warning.I thought this occurence would only happen if the pitot tubes heating was off and in cold conditions, but id say ive had it happen to me over five times in the last two weeks, and the weather didnt appear to show cold scenarios.. it is summer after all!Maybe through AS2004 im just dow…

I am still looking at all the manual docs and making sure I understand operation of the MCP as well as basic manual flight procedures. I think I understand, but would appreciate confirmation that the following is correct procedure:1. For autoland, tune Nav 1 and Nav 2 to rwy ILS freq before trying to intercept the LOC. Then, arm LOC on MCP and when LOC intercept achieved and turns green, hit APP to prepare for GS intercept and descent to destination rwy. Follow progress visually on the PFD and ND down to rwy and don't touch anything at all until touchdown occurs. Would much prefer to fly using FSNavigator than the PMDG_FMC. Is there any way I can fly the PMDG737's without having to program the FMC and just use FSNavigator??I very much would like to be able to do this.Thank,Walt

When I fly with the VC and/or the VCabin, and I am in the 2d cockpit view (which I use most of the time in flight) and look diagonally to the front right and see my LCD displays, they aren't animated. The info on them won't change but I can see the yoke moving and the clouds going by, but nothing happens on the screens. They are frozen. Also, when I load up the plane, and then turn its power on, if I look in the same diagonal view, the screens aren't on yet, even though the 2d view has them on. When I switch to the VC view, the screens pop on real quick, then if I go back to the 2d view, then look diagonally, they are on. That problem seem to always be there but it's not…

Just thought some of you would like to know that Continental Airlines has ordered blended winglets on the next 11 737-800s being delivered this year. They will also be retrofitting the current 737-800 fleet with blended winglets over time. If that doesn't excite you maybe this will...Continental is working with Boeing too develop blended winglets for our 757 fleet.Maybe we'll see a new livery for Continental with winglets before the real aircraft are delivered!!sg CAL

Hi,I have both 737 packages, with the newest update. Fantastic aircraft, they have spoiled me from using any "lesser" planes. :)I flew the 900 from KLAX to PANC, using the Alaska livery. Near the end of the flight, I noticed the right wing tank had about 1000 gallons less than the left one, about 2500/3500 respectively. It was lit in yellow, and said unbalanced under the right gauge.The left engine was still running, so I turned on the crossfeed and turned the right pumps off, and it began using fuel from the left. I have the PMDG 737 NG 600/700 software. After many months of useage,all the fuselage textures of all my PMDG aircraft have disappeared!The texture on the tail (for example #600 or #700) is ok. The VC and 2D cockpits are ok.What can I do to restore these textures short of deleting all PMDG files, and then reloading the PMDG software? I have the CD version.I want to avoid reloading the PMDG software because of the loss of stored flight plans and textures for numerous aircraft which I downloaded from the PMDG web site.Any help will be appreciated. I understand that pilots fly even or odd altitudes when flying either East or West. Is this true and if so which is it? lolAlso, does North or South have any meaning to altitude values?Thanks,Waldo

I have the Reality XP gauges installed and I want to know how to get the a/c to fly a route using the flight plan loaded in the GPS. I can select the 'navsrc' and GPS is shown in the ND but when I selct NAV on the A/P it does not follow the flight plan. What am I doing wrong, thanks in advance.

Support:The upgrade installation went great! I deployed "run_me_after..." and that ran fine except under 900 2D only, the Boeing Corporate entry installs without its paint scheme. Hi,Sometimes when there is a headwind, the GS is higher than the TAS. The wind arrow, direction and speed appear to be correct (verified with FSNav). There might be a problem with the GS readout. Overall, great plane!

I know this is a bit off topic, but I was wondering if the 737NG family is fly by wire. I have noticed the FMC only has data for NDB approaches for most of the Canadian aiports. Does anyone know where I can get the data for the other approaches to put in the FMC?Brad Brooks

I have both the 600/700 base pkg and the 800/900 add on. I have version 1.3 of the base package (looked at the readme file included in the zip) and I have updated the 800/900 package.When I try and installing the PMDG_737_800_900_Update it won't install and tells me I need version 1.1 or newer!Now last week I completely uninstalled FS9 and all addons. Then I reinstalled everything. (had a few problems develope as I tried a few tweaks that didn't work out). Any suggestions?Kim Simmelink

Hi,In external view my frame rate is very slow < 10, (after action on "S" key :2D panel -> 3D panel -> track view with active camera -> external view) but if in external view I have any action on ALT Key on my keyboard in order to show and hide FS9 menu my FPS instantly increase up to 20 or 25. Hello, since the SU 1.3 I can't extend and retract the stairs anymore. Before I made shortcuts strg+shift+e and r and everything works fine. What exactly must I do to bring the stairs back to life?Thanks Kai
