Hello, I did the update for the 737-800/900 PMDG to bring it to v1.1I just installed the patch and that went ok.Straight after that installed a new liverie from British Airways.Went ok.Then I started the FS2004 again, no problem so far, but when I loaded the 737 PMDG any of them either the 600/700 or the 800/900 series I always see the spot view first because I saved the plane that way in FS2004.But when I click 1x more S button to get in the 2D cockpit it crashed. So should I have started the FS2004 first after the V1.1 updated and then installed the new BA livery? Can I fix it without reinstalling everything? Well If I must reinstall I will but I prefer not :-)Any help i…

Just curious if there is any difference between versions. The reason I ask is, I have a 15% off coupon from PC Aviator that I would use. (hey, 6 dollars is 6 dollars!!!). But if the CD edition is different, I won't go that direction.ThanxRick

How do you get the dome lights on in the 2d panel? I can get them on in the virtual cockpit, then the panel light button will not work. At night the 2d panel is dark with only panel label lighting. Is this the correct night lighting in the 738 or a bug?

I installed the new update last night and everything seems to work OK but I do have a question. Most of the electrical switches for lights don't "click" anymore:LogoPositionStrobeAnti CollisionWing Cab/UtilIFE/Pass APU Gen switchNow maybe they didn't click before, but I honestly can't remember now ( sign of my age). Has anyone else noticed this? One more question, everyonce in awhile I can an " Air conditionins" alarm. ( This happened before the patch also) I can't find anything that is out of place on the Overhead. Anyone know what I might be overlooking? Thanks

Hi,on FS2004 default aircraft it is possible to use the two VORs independently, that is I can select a course on VOR1 and another one on VOR2 (tuned on two different frequencies), which is quite normal. However, on add-on aircraft, such as PMDG 737 this seems not to be possible: selecting a course on NAV2 will automatically select the same course on NAV1 and vice-versa, which I believe it is not as it is supposed to work. This is regardless of any position of VHF NAV switch on overhead panel. As far as I know, selecting NORMAL should split captain's navigation instruments on VHF Nav 1 and FO's instruments on VHF Nav 2.If my understanding is correct, can someone please adv…

Hello all,When I fly the pmdg and want to take a screenshot, I press printcreen"imprim ecran" keyboard button . Pressing that key also disconnect autopilot on MCP (I have try tu use CMD A and CMD B but in both case I had to repress on CMD A or CMD B after taking screesnhot)I have only change pushback button in pmdg fs2004 menu so I don't see what could be the source of my problem. I also look for CMD A and CMD B keyboard button in pmdg menu but they are attributed to a keyboard button. In fact, I see that it's all key button between letters and numbers (so insert, suppr, end, first line, .... and all the others had the same effect disconnect AP) I also look in another …

I was testing the new update this morning and came up with a couple of issues.First of all, when starting the engines. I select GRD and when the engine starts turning, I see a fuel flow of around 0.11. After fuel is introduced, the flow goes up to around 0.98 and stays on it. Then after starter cut-out the flow goes up to about 1.35, and then rolls back to stabilize at about 1.07, which seems normal. However, is it normal that the fuel flow should even be there during the dry start, and then freeze during the engine acceleration?Second, it seems that every autopilot coupled ILS approach I do, at about 600-500 agl the autopilot goes into CWS mode and the plane starts t…

HI all,Was just wondering how the PMDG_737NG_Main.gau file went from 14.1mb down to 3.3mb after the patch. Is that right? or did you just manage to compress things a lot more.

Hi !I have this Problem for a long time, but it did not appear in the last time, now it appears very often. Sometimes after a while of simming with FS9, the FPS goes straight down to lower than 7 FPS, it's not possible to use FS at this rate. But, the rate goes only down when the aircraft is moving on ground., if the aircraft stops or lift ups the Error is not happening. But if i touch down again or roll again on ground , the FPS go down again.Any Ideo how to fix that, or anyone with same prob? This is not an PMDG issue, other Aircraft are the same thing.I sometimes can fix it with minimize FS9 and going back to FS9 after a while, than the FPS are normal again.Take a look…

Having purchased the boxed version of the 737-600/700 i feel extremely frustrated that for me i can not upgrade to the 800/900 unless i have to download it.Ifor one would be prepared to pay extra if it was made available onCD say via Aerosoft, alternatively i would be pepared to pay for are-release of the 737,but this time the CD version could be calledPMDG 737-600/700/800 and again distributed via Aerosoft here in europe. I've ben flying the 737's vor a while, and now that I've added teh 738/9 to the hangar, I'm curious about braking distance.Th reference runway is KBOS27. Most aircraft if not all (IRL), turn off on Taxiway E. With autobrakes 2, full avaialble reverse and spoilers, I turn off at W, violating LAHSO (Land And Hold Short...)Seening a loaded BA 744 (For EGLL) use this runway and takoff in less than 6000 feet is amazing. Especailly considering that the A33/340's are using 4R (10k feet) at the same time. Departures were on 9 & the 4's that day.Landing on 4R it appears common to land and turn off on Y. Minimal brakes and reverse there.Any ideas other than cranking the autobr…

I downloaded and installed the 737-900 Boeing colors package. It did not appear normally in FS9. I checked the .cfg file and found that the texture for the 2D cockpit was still PMDG. However, the other cockpit choices were updated to the proper texture.Thanks.

PMDG Team,It would be nice to hear some updates about the progress of the 737 SDK. Some comments have been floated around the Home Cockpit Support Forum about the 737 product being opened to the Simpit builders. Is the 737 software open to simple Offsets that could be used through FSUIPC? The biggest issue about being accessed is the overhead panel, could there be more information provided on this front?Would appreciate any information!Kind Regards,

Hi fellow captains,First of all, I would like to thank the PMDG team for releasing this recent update free of charge considering the numerous hours which have been needed in order to fix the remaining issues and to upgrade the Boeing 737/600-700 package to FS9 Standard. The second purpose of this post is to mention that I have isolated an error in the aircraft.cfg file installed by the service-release regarding the 737/600 version. The presence of an unappropriated value was leading me to be unable to engage the auto throttle. After investigating, it appeared that the "pitch_takeoff_ga" entry in the autopilot section was not the good one. In order to correct this mistake, i…

Dear PMDG,Thanks for the updates. I have only installed the service update 1.1, but looking at the aeroplane description in FS2004, and the aircraft.cfg, I see ver 1.0 showing. Is there anywhere to confirm visibly that I have ver 1.1?I have modified my aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg files so I was wondering if the service update wouldnt successfully update because of this? Many thanks in advance.Armen L Cholakianwww.veryquiet.com

I am new to PMDG and just finished studying the FMC manual for the -600 model. I understand much of it quite well as I spent 2 years flying the PSS 777 and 744 models. But I am unclear about FMC DES procedure with the PMDG -600 model right now because I think it differs slightly from the 744.In the 744, you dial in your desired descent ALT in the MCP window at any time while cruising and at the programmed ToD, the FMC commands the descent to start when you hit the ToD. But it seems that this procedure is not the same in the FMC for the PMDG 737. My reading suggests that if you dial in the lower ALT within a 50nm range of the ToD in the 737 that the FMC will start to de…
