When I come to fly any model (600 through 900) now my PFD has been replaced by conventional flight instruments and a compacted map display. How do I get the PFD back?ThanksChris Y

Greetings Ladies & Gents, Hypothetical question - based on the realism of this sim, what is the likelihood of a GA pilot with say, a few hundred hours on PMDG 737NG be able to operate the real aircraft (from an operations perspective) to put it in an autoland configuration and bring it down? I hear X-Plane has received "FAA approval" for use as a training aid. Do you folks see the likelihood of this sim - I would guess it duplicates the 737 systems fairly well enough! Cheers! PMDG have done an excellent job of simulating the 737NG, but why exactly do you love the 737...?Running a full-motion simulator company, I'm lucky enough to have 'flown' everything from B727 to B777 and A300 to A340... but the absolute favourite is the B737NG & 300/400/500 (A320 in 2nd place).For me the 737 has the most atmospheric cockpit of all, and I love the way it is so over-engineered; every part of it feels indestructible. It feels more powerful and responsive than the larger Boeings, and more involving than the A320/A330/A340. And in the NG, the 'glass' instrumentation seems better presented and more modern than the modern Airbuses.How about you?

Anyone else lost their nav data after installing the latest updates? I also tried to re-install with the data from the PMDG site and still didn't work. Airports in question are KATL and KMIA. The aircraft is the 800.Thanks.

700-700NG mauals:The number 7 manual is very concise and tells you what this switch and that display is called. And that's OK of course! But what I really need is a little more general information about the different functions of these switches, displays etc etc. Something like the info made by Wilco for the 767 Pilot In Command.Where can I find this information? I would like to tell the members of the PMDG group that they have made a marvelous aircraft with lots of hours of fun and learning (and lots of frustration too, - you have to learn a lot to get the bird alive!!...;-) ).But in the same time I would appriciate that the team made a suplement manual for the "Cockpit …

Hey,Just a quick question. I have read that the 737 is sometimes refered to as "Fat Albert". Just was curious when this came about and why or what was the reasoning. I think it is because it was a short haul a/c that used 6 abreast seating, the BAC 1-11 & Douglas DC-9 were 5 abreast seating. Any ideas?

Hello all,This is something i do not get.I would like to see the same time on the fmc and the time of my flight.What i mean is ,if i start my flight at 5:00 pm(i am living in Belgium)it is always 2 hours less in the fmc.Where can i change this?Is it in the fs9 or somewhere else.i am lost.Thanks for any help provided.olivir sinnaeve

firstly, i think i must be dreaming! what a great flight model - to capture the essence, and i am only using a keyboard, having given up the joystick because the response is so smooth. PMDG - kudos!my newbie questions:~ how to disable the Ground Proximity Warning system during autoland it keeps going off driving me crazy! %-)~ during takeoff roll, i have everything setup correctly (per T.Metziger's tutorial) - except i get a loud repetitive klaxon going off, which disappears after i rotate and raise the gear. what am i missing?Thank-you captains!cheers,spiritflareCYYZ

I have a problem with two issues.In the 2D display, the landing gear lever always shows the down position,this happens whether the gear is raised or lowered.And when using the TCAS system, no symbols appear on the display, only the word "Traffic" and an aural warning, i have tried to use the "test" option, but the switch will not work.Your help would be appreciated.

Hi !I saw in the feature list that there will also be a Virtual Upper Deck Cabin.As you said that the Cockpits will look different from airline to airline, i wonder if the virtual cabin does too. I would love to see Lufthansa First Class Seats on Upper Deck, i think it is possible to do as aerodesigns did it with their A340.I hope it will have that level of detail that all are expecting of.Thanks a lot.Marcello

Hi guys and girls,Ok last night all was well with the pmdg series of planes but now after coming home from work and firing it up after instaling the virgin blue livery with winglets something weird has happened.I decided to refresh myself and go through v2 of the advanced tutorial download etc and when im in main cockpit view and choose O for the overhead the panel comes up but when i then go to hit either "M" "Z" or "A" to go back to the main panels it dont, it just sits on the overhead. The only way i can get it to go is to close it with a right click or go to the views menu and uncheck the overhead panel tick mark.This is really odd and not least a bit frustrating seei…

Now we all know how the 744 is going to be modeled with all 3 engine variants. What I was wondering was is the 744 going to have a different sound set for each engine type because not every engine sounds the same? Either way the 744 is going to be awesome!David

Hi PMDG!Have you thought about what will happen in the future in case of incompatibilities between the present aircraft packages and future MSFS releases? Will there be updates, a completely new package, an add-on? :-hmmm I know it's still a long way but chatting around I heard more than one person express doubts about commercials addons because of this.. :) Thank you. HI, Does anyone think it would be coool to have an extremely realistic virtual airline with only PMDG planes in the fleet and since the planes are so realistic there could be so many realistic features in the VA.Does anyone know of a very realistic us based virtual airline? Thanks, Tyler

Cannot find the GPS in PMDG 737 NG. Is that because there is none because of the other complex navigation stuff or am I missing somewhere to click on? Also Sky Decks has a 737 NG panel which has a gps inside the navigation box. Will this work with the 737 NG. The name is the same (737 NG) but it is a different company.
