Released yesterday late night ( Western Europe time ). I bought the first version for XP10 and really enjoyed it. Also used for a while in XP11. It got a bit better when Austin finally fixed the "torque bug" because at first it was a nightmare to control due to it's rather high wing loading and the exagerated torqu effect that plagued XP for quite a few years since mid XP9... Looking fwd into reviews. I might give it a go when XP12 get's available because I really do not intend to reinstall XP11...

  2. Hi, I'm using P2A, X-Plane 11 with FlyElite Pro Panel II and AP4000 communications stack. Every time I click on the 430 to do anything, like set a Flt Plan or set a frequency the GPS pops up and takes over 90% of the screen. Is there a setting to have it not do this when I click on the GPS? Most of what I need to do can be done while it is in the console. I seldom need it to popup. Thanks,

I bought XP-11 on Steam Summer Sale and I am pleasantly surprised. I will list first good and then needs improved in 12. Scenery. Very good over Pennsylvania so far. Only region I have flown over, my region. The default airports were a great surprise to me. Even the small regional are very detailed and close to their actual appearance. The small towns and cities are nicely done and the street grids are very close to actual. Flight Modeling. Better than MS. I'm going for PPL in a C182 and I also nearly exclusively sim A2A. I can tell you the flight modeling is a step up Systems. Lots of functionality. Better than MS. Can enter flight plans in GPS/INS. …

  6. I have used this Alps overlay for a long time. By mistake I deleted the whole folder "A Sky Story Sceneries - Alps part 1 photoreal" The link on the download page is dead. Please help where can I get it back now ??? I tried to contact first at: [email protected] Unfortunately, the address is probably also unavailable, as my e-mails cannot be sent. Of course, there is always the option to generate these 6 tiles by yourself with Ortho4XP - no problem for me. Unfortunately, regardless of the provider of the images (BI, GO2, ...), they are "polluted" with clouds, heterogeneous and leave a lot to be desired ... Besides, I have a lot of alpine airports…

Hi! I just bought X-plane 11 and I've heard about zibo mod. I want to download it but when I click link to go to Google Drive it says that I don't have permission to view file. Am I have to request and wait, or zibo mod isn't supported anymore?

  9. I wrote a FlyWithLUA script long ago that would set the heading bug using code similar to below .... ------------------------------------------ dataref("gPlaneAPHeading", "sim/cockpit/autopilot/heading", "writable") -- defined earlier on in the script gPlaneAPHeading = 90 -- set the AutoPilot heading ------------------------------------------ but, with no change to the code this no longer works, yet I can set the dataref via the dataref editor plugin. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I need to change to get this working again? It appears to no longer be writable My searches have turned up nothing. Thanks.

It's not a recent video, but it's really very up-2-date, and there's plenty of interesting info. The video makes part of an excellent series of videos by totoritko, the tallented developer behind the CL 650 and the TBM 900, two of the Best Ever addons released for X-Plane, and I'd be tempted to say, the CL 650 being actually the most advanced, in all sorts of ways, aircraft model ever built for this flight simulation platform. Worth watching if you're curious about the inner details of X-plane's FDM. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuLOuNulf7Y

  11. One of the things I'm most hoping for is a better ground environment. I'm not expecting it to look like FS2020, but hoping for some improvements in terms of things like road accuracy (I loathe ground tile textures with roads, for example...) and general look/feel.

When flying the Baron 58 freeware with the 530..... Can you show the heading on the 530 the same as the dial gauge..? I see bearing but not heading...the dial gauge on the Baron is hard to see so it would be better to use the 530..

  13. So far, I am impressed by the accuracy of the default airports I have visited. The live weather is acceptable as well and the terrain texturing in my own area, Central PA is good enough to navigate VFR. The only plane I flew so far was the Cessna 172. I know from experience it Flys as it should. Control setup is in depth with more assignment options than FSX/P3D. I really WANT to fly in this sim. It doesn't feel like a game. However. It also seems empty. Very little in the way of air traffic. And the ATC emulation is a step above useless. I mess flight following and contact warnings and proper UNICOM. Very quiet. If Austin would have just done a thorough ATC overhau…

Will X-Plane 11 and soon to be 12 run on a Mac? I have always heard they are over priced and non-upgradeable. But do they work with X-plane and what kind of performance do they have compared to Intel/Windows? Maybe with the Window 11/Vulkan problem I have be having with the old i9-9900K slowing down on long flights, I would be better off changing computer/systems all together. Your thoughts please. Thanks Terry

Hi, I tried a trans atlantic flight today. After leaving europe, X Plane stopped loading the scenery and everything was blue. When I reached the US, it did not restarted to load the scenery so I had to land in the nowhere. Does anyone have a solution for it? Thanks

  16. For some unknown reason, I'm getting a double superimposed layer of clouds. I'm using ASXP and SkyMaxxPro with regular clouds, not the beta volumetric clouds. One layer seems normal and the other appears to be transparent and shifted slightly to the side. Do any of you have any idea what's going on with this and how to fix it, please? https://mega.nz/file/9AQGUY4S#s39q1wZ-59xGQnkzmt0wg3RWrI3TWv7LhywX6xFQ17E

  17. I Surely hope that isn't the final product. It looks like capability was expanded but the same bot voiced were used. Sort of kills it Come on Austine. MS had human sounding ATC voiced since at least 2000. Why don't you make the voices deeper, give us a Viper, and we can go blasting Cylons. Because that is what they remind me of. Wow. 22. Demo ari-gato Mr. Roboto.

  19. Simheaven (freeware) released major updated to all their regions. xAmerica includes open source Microsoft footprint. Those not familiar here is what their github project says "Microsoft Maps is releasing country wide open building footprints datasets in United States. This dataset contains 129,591,852 computer generated building footprints derived using our computer vision algorithms on satellite imagery. This data is freely available for download and use." Here are some screenshots I have taken around Dallas area. I am loving the result so far. They also have all the regions ready for X-Plane 12!

With XP11 ending a cycle and about to enter the new one ( although the "about to" semantics can be rather fuzzy... ), I'm curious about what you are enjoying ( aircraft and places / routes / addons ) in the current platform ? I am mostly using XP11 standalone scenery and weather wise, sometimes alternating with Enhanced Skyscapes, and using the Toliss A319 and now also the Beluga ( well, not yet really because it has a lerning curve ... ) and the FF 757 v2 Global pro ( won at x-plane.org !!! ). My flights are mostly short hops between LPPT and other Portuguese or European airports. I may get into transatlantic flights and try to learn the "science" of Oceanic Ro…

Without getting into one sim vs, another arguments (I own them all and have spent way too many $$$ on add ons for all of them too) - I’m getting a strange pleasure out of flying the LevelUp 737s through DEFAULT XP11 scenery of late. No Ortho4XP, no TrueEarth, just default scenery in preparation for XP12’s improved landclass-ish scenery and new features hopefully released soon. Part of my interest in simplicity/minimalism overall lately. I mentally change gears to say “no, you can’t see the Home Depot, but pretend you’re flying a 737 simulator - and Xp12 will include enough key POI to make it convincing. Thoughts?
