I watched this guys tutorials, as he takes you from start to finish, including making photoscenery(very important for me). They are in Portugese, but you can get the gist of what he's doing. He covers pretty much everything and I got the hang of the Bezier Curves by watching him. Hi all I have had some experience withi XP 9 and recently bought the XP 10 Global Edition. It is a fantastic sim and right out of the box is graphically better than FSX, which I love as well. I have a Track IR and would like to know how I can stop it from constantly "swinging" around inside the virtual cockpits.What happens, unlike in FSX, is that the Track IR pans all over the cockpit and I find it hard to keep it steady. It seems like there are no limits for it. In FSX, the Track IR doesn't swing around and constantly move on me. Also, how can I put the local map on my second monitor and the XP 10 cockpit view on my main monitor? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I want to use Xplane 10 in the worst way, but every add on I have turns way beyond normal, and the amount of adjustments needed are way beyond what I can see as normal. I see this on the dash8, MU2, C208 carenado etc... Is there a tweak that I could apply to put this to bed once and for all, even if it's not realistic. This is the one and only thing that prevents me from getting any enjoyment from xplane. I have my hardware calibrated. Thanks in advance to any solution. :-) Best, Jeff

Has anyone been successful in adding an island(s) into OSM? I have read the Wiki about the various tags and still can't figure it out. I understand that the multipolygon is what one uses, but what is the tag line for an island? Do you make each island (say in a river with lots of islands) first and then do the river using the tag Riverbank? Can you add an island after the river is complete? How about a step by step procedure to accomplish an island? All this computerize is just too much for my feeble brain to comprehend! Thanks, Chuck

Here's an idea I've had for a flight sim project. Fly to all the countries contained in this list - in the order of smallest populated country to largest populated country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_population Rules are thus; 1. If country has no suitable land based airport or heliport then it's not required to visit said country (e.g. Vatican City). 2. Country must be landed at in proper fashion when visiting country (i.e. no ploughing of farmers field or forest felling with your plane). You must use an airport/heliport. 3. Seems that today is the day of getting back to the Jetstream again I had a nice flight from Boundary Bay to Comox today, and here are some screenshots: And after all these hiqh quality pictures, here's one how I actually fly (i.e. without AA, without shadows, in small resolution).

I just noticed that the latest version ( 64 bit ) has some problem in my install... The controls are functional, but in the cockpit, 2D or VC, only the rudder pedals move, the column and yoke being frozen. Does this happen to any of you? Thx in advance for any suggestions ;-)

Is this what I get? I selected a very small area of the harbor that had some buildings. Duluth , MN. Now all my other buildings are gone. Ideas? How do people get realistic textured buildings and photoscenery? Is that a different program?

Does anybody know WHY the roll axis for TrackIR is disabled? Austin? What are You thinking? It is so natural to roll Your head to match the horizon while rolling the aircraft. This simulator is coming along so beautifully! What a sensation of flight! Suspended from a wing thats supported by molecules of gas. Believable hights and distances. Actual wind. Lights, colors, reflections, shadows, detailed textures all make for convincing visuals. all this and I cant tilt my head? Five degrees of freedom??? but not the sixth? Come on Austin, #####?

or do you still prefer the smooth 64bit Xplane10 Version for now. XPJets is also creating an amazing 777 Study Sim Payware for Xplane10 which looks pretty phenomenal and almost identical to the PMDG version. So many T7's so little $$$ :lol:

As I am approaching LPPT on a very short hub flight from LPPR, flown in the mighty PMDG 777, in the background X-Plane10 is being clean installed, no OSM scenery, no weather injectors, just plain vanilla X-Plane10.22, waiting for the Saab 340 :-) Just as I did this time to FSX, I am being minimalistic about what I enable, looking in the very 1st place for a smooth ride. No fancy scenery, not even photo scenery, default X-Plane10 autogen. The Carenados ( 3 that I have ), the MU2, DC3, C400, AS350 and FF WL 777 will be the only aircraft waiting for the Saab :-)

Together with my new fresh X-Plane10 install, this WL 777 was one of the re-installed aicraft. First positive aspect: It had activation problems because I no longer had the original folder and sotware in my disk, but sent an email to their support and a re-activation was ready in *** only *** 8 minutes!!!! Second positive aspect: yes the TAC and FBW can be disengaged too in this WL 777, and failling an engine at V2 does show it's consequences :-) Testing will continue, with a rather positive mood! I will also install the new textures !

Titounet66 was close to let down this project but, fortunately, Cigaloi30 came to help him to finish this excellent first version of this airport… and available for free! Hey guys, The newest tool PFPX allows you to plan flight professionally can export the route in Xplane fms format. I have it and like it very much a bonus for me as I use both Xplane 10 and FMS.
