Hi, I decided to give X-plane 10 another shot. This is a fresh install, I've been able to calibrate and use my yoke (PFC - Column Yoke). But it does not recognize my throttle quad (VRAC) axes (Pitch Trim, Speed Brake, Throttle 1 & 2, Flaps), but it sees and I can use the buttons on the throttle quad (A/T Disengage, TO/GA, Parking Brake, Stab Trim L&R and Fuel Cutoff L&R). Any ideas on how to get the axes working?, does it have to be controlled by thid party software?. Thanks

1.5 final is out now. I'm impressed very much by the JAR crew. They have a very active forum and give good support for their product. The bus is getting better and better.

I'm ready to commit to xplane 10. I'm a current fs9 user. I won't go fsx, I believe it's false economy, it's an old program. Anyways, the point is, I need help. I'm about to buy my components. I need a good video card recommendation. I am gonna get the i7 4770k, and 8GB of ram (possible 32). Will this be good for xplane 10? Is it needed? I haven't July a PC since 2008......... Cheers, Ian!

I purchased the Carenado Skymaster from www.flightsimstore.com back when it was released. Hearing that the new 64bit compatible version 2 of the aircraft has now been released I went to re-download about a week ago. It looks like they still only have the original version 1 on their server. I sent an email asking when they plan to have the new version 2 for download but never got a reply after a week or so. Did anyone else get their Skymaster from Flightsimstore? If so have you had any luck getting the new version 2 downloaded?

I just went through. Installed current versions of G3, XPUIPC. All went well G3 sync's with XPlane 10. Created Flight Plan in G3 with XPlane database. Flying the B58 Baron by Caredona. As in FSX is there a way to load that flight plan into XPlane. Like you do with FSX. If not what is the purpose of creating an XPlane flight plan in G3. Either I don't understand XPlane well enough or I'm missing something. Also XPlane seems to have a slower response than before. Could this be cause by the XPUIPC interface? Thanks to all who reply to inform me of the error of my ways. Bill

I already have the OSM_North America scenery, which is very good. Other than airports, any suggestions of good US scenery that would preserve night lighting? Maybe photo-scenery? Thanks, Bruce.

I have a lot of information at the Carenado site regarding 64 bit updates to XPlane. But I couldn't a definitive answer as weather my B58 Baron is 64 bit compatible. I have no sound and the cockpit view is un-useable. Can one know the true answer? Thanks in advance to all who reply. Bill

This looks too good to be true! The best I have seen in a sim. Probably not to be released this year, EFHK is their first big airport and they work on details like crazy. Please support this amazing team by spreading the word and do yourself a favor, if it's not already done: buy their other sceneries. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.557779357591798.1073741837.464622066907528&type=1 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.547427308627003.1073741836.464622066907528&type=3 Pascal

I know where these switches are on the MCP, and I get the mouse "hand" when hovering over them- but I can't see to drag them to the VOR position. I though that I would left click on the switch then drag it up for the VOR position, but nothing seems to happen..... and it's unlike the F/D switch that changes when just left clicking on it..... I've looked in the forum and can't see this question, so I'm assuming it's intuitive and I'm just not getting it.... Thanks, Bruce.

Just got an email saying it is 40% off this weekend, so just a heads up for those who are not on the X-Aviation mailing list. Apparently it's been reduced from $34.95 to $19.95, but when I window-shopped there the other day I could have sworn it was only at $29.95! An excellent model by all accounts if not my cup of tea. My pennies are being saved for the PMDG T7 and maybe the FF 757 when they appear.

I have yet to buy X palne. I am thinking about setting up a good gaming system in my basement with big screen LCD TV and CH products control yoke. I need a good computer system specifically designed for flight simulators. Your input is appreciated. __________________

Hello guys... I am a new xplane user...and finally m haappy with xplane after applying the torque fix which solved my wing roll problem and I have to constantly fight the roll on the left..but now it seems better..xplane seems more lively in terms of scenery.I am still using the demo version since I play this on my 3 year old laptop.Once I get my rig I will buy the full version .I want to fly with HDR enabled.i managed it once on my laptop and wow it looked awesome at night. Not able to get descent frame rate since then and hence back without HDR.hope to have a good time further with xplane.. Been playing with my 3 civil flight sims yesterday, trying to find out more about this prop-effects subject... 1) ELITE is ( IMO ) way ahead of either MSFS or X-Plane when it comes to relisticaly modelling the prop effects. While ground handling in this sim is rather poor, and once airborne most X-Plane users will certainly classify it with a big "On-Rails" tag, ELITE excels in replicating the prop effects for the different aircraft included in the package. They all react differently, but with very acceptable plausibility to a high power / high AoA situation, requiring foot ( right foot because they're all CW rotating...) Only if you do not correct on time and let t…

And, very wise words by Dan Klaue, someone I just recently have started to find out more about, thanks to his and Brett's contribution with the "Torque Fix"... Apart from being the author of the Carenado add-ons for X-Plane, which are among my preferred prop aircraft for X.Plane, Dan had revealed knowledge, good sense, and what I consider a non-biased judgement of X-Plane's flight dynamics concept. He is not a fundamentalist, like sometimes I myself tend to be, but rather someone who really must love his work, just like Goran and his excellent creations, and certainly others... It really pays to read his posts at this that thread, specially those starting here: …
