I followed the author recommendations regarding the proper calibration of the controls, and only edited the ACF to set the RoGs 50% higher than the default ones calculated by X-Plane itself. I find it even better this way :-) I have been wondering about that Extra add-on, available at the .ORG, and now that I know aerobatics are very fun, and a lot more realistic in X-Plane 10 than in FSX, I believe I'll start trainning for next year's championship :-)

does anyone have any idea on how well this sim is doing? i'm new to XP10 and like what I see so far.

With all of the upcoming improvements in scenery, at the surface and in the skies, it would be great to finally have a properly represented Moon on X-Plane's skies, with realistic rise / set times, phases, etc... Ask Austin! I have already, either for an internal change, or for oppening the code so that 3pds can take care of it :-)

Going by tidbits on various forums it looks like November could be one of the best months for XP in a long time: - SkyMAXX Pro - HD V2 Mesh - Ramzzess 757 - 10.25 with new urban textures etc. - Saab 340 1.1 ...anything else?

Hi all, Where are the per aircraft user defined views saved in X-plane 10? In which file(s)? I will re-install windows and after that I will have to re-install X-plane 10 but I don't want to loose the numerous custom view definitions I already have created for my X-plane aircrafts.

I would also like to ask whether there is a way to directly select the 'next custom view' or 'the preview custom view' rather than only be able to selecting just individual custom views (0, 1, 2, etc) Thank you

Is it possible to assign mousewheel to control knobs in the VC etc? At the moment I think my mouse zooms in and out.

when we do not own multi-engine TQs, can be rather ineffective in X-Plane 10 or FSX using the joysticks. I actually could program it throught FSUIPC in FSX, but I found a better use for my keybord, or even the mouse, specially when having to deal with asymmetrict thrust ( engine failures, etc... ) I presently only use the joysticks for flight control (including trim) and view inputs, the rest being done through the keyboard, or using the mouse to act on the power levers, etc... Feels good so far...

Thought I'd share this. This morning I was just flying the third leg of my XPX around the world thing, and climbing out of Keflavik my screen turned a beautiful rainbow colour and XPX crashed. Turns out the OpenGL driver had a wig out and collapsed into a jabbering ball of jelly. I'm updating my drivers for the nvidia 680 now in the hopes it doesn't do that again. I'm just glad it did it then and not after two hours. Its a long flight today. Lol Best wishes, Jess B

Evening all, I've been working on an airport as part of my "fly to every country" campaign. I'm due to visit the country of San Marino, and presently there are no facilities in X-Plane. But there is an aeroclub in real life: http://www.aeroclubsanmarino.sm/ So this is what I've made so far, all using WED legobricks, and I'm intending to submit this to robin peel - so all of you will have it on some future update. Couple of issues: There's no ICAO code. This best thing I can find from the aeroclub site is the designator: "RSMTOR". That's not allowed in x-plane, so I truncated it to SMTO. No idea if it's valid, but if anyone has an author…

Just look at the yoke and see how, svereal times during climb, go-around, the pilot has to input right yoke to keep wings straight... And... the way things happen, even taking into consideration some turbulence / wind.. are consistent with him countering torque from the engine / prop, IMO... Actually, if you observe carefully, sometimes he makes his inputs a little bit late, and the aircraft starts banking to the left... Or... is it because that pilot is really fat? Does …

For me, and for many of you, as Murmur pointed out on one of his posts on the 777 vs 777 thread, it is typical to get in this boat with lot's of enthusiasm, then start reading this and that about what really isn't, after all, what we would like it to be, then eventually finding out that after all there were some things we could do and see in our other simulator and are not ( yet ) availabe here... and, probably sooner than we could guess, we are writing posts were we state how disappointed we came to be after a while.... after updating to the latest xp10 beta and a fresh new install(8 dvd's = 2hr :lol: ), my xp setup looks better than before , anyone notice the HDR improvements during the day/night.
