If you had to pick one scenery or airport package, that showed all the things XPX was capable of; One that could stand toe to toe with anything in the FSX world (no photoscenary!) What would you recommend?

Hi, I started with X-Plane about 2 months ago and there are quite so many great Payware-ADD-Ons to buy and more are coming. Here in Europe that Black-Friday-Tradition is not very well known but I observed that last year several online-shops, providers and companies, especially from the US, had some Black-Friday-Sales on their websites. Do You think there will be any Black-Friday-Sales from 3rd-Party X-Plane developers? Have there been some last year? I'm actually scheduling the upcoming weekends and am just curious...

I'm reaching out to any X-Plane old-timers/experts on this forum to see if the following things are possible: 1) Can I make the car lights show all during the day. In Poland, we have to have lights on 24/7, even when it's sunny. I find the lights make the scenery seem more alive. 2) I'm guessing the answer to this is probably no, but has anyone found a way to control dials with the mouse wheel. If not, is there a way to assign a key, so that if I hover over the dial, I can use the keyboard for +/-. The current system is really difficult to use, and I have to pause the sim just to change a frequency, or adjust a dial. It took me nearly a minute to try and hit the e…

I don't know if you regularly check the screenshot section (at least X-Plane users are not posting very much there, unfortunately). I've been looking at getting a tubeliner for X-Plane, as I miss the NGX on FSX. I recently bought the Saab 340A, which is a fantastic plane, but can only be used for VOR-VOR flights, and is great for small hops. I can't ask over at the org unfortunately since I'm blocked. Could somebody who owns the B757 let me know their experiences with it, and whether it's worth getting, specifically I'm looking at the following: 1) What's the documentation like? Hi! I have a strange issue with X-Plane 10.22 64-bit on Windows 8.1 platform. I am having this problem with 757 Professional. Could be other planes too, but I tried longer flights only with this plane. E.g. ESSA to EFHK it is just after tod that I lose all sound in X-plane. I tried to restart sound card (Focusrite), but it does nothing. Windows plays sounds just fine in the background. Could be something related to X-planes own audio driver and Windows 8 power management? I have disabled power-management for all usb-devices. Has anyone experienced this annoying problem. It effectively denies the use of 757 and X-Plane for me. Any tips appreciated. ----- …

I'm wondering if there is a good url to use for the Professional B757 aircraft? I've searched on Google but just get facebook references. I am loving this aircraft, but tonight have several questions. First, after entering the departure and arrival airport info, I can't seem to get to page 2 of the "RTE" function in the FMC (where additional fixes between the departure and arrival structure is usually done on this aircraft. As I had the the treat of a sightseeing flight around the Cape Peninsula 2 weeks ago, I wanted to simulate this in X-Plane. The heliports are not in the XP database (no ICAO code in reality) - so I invented FACH (CH = Cape Town Heliport). It's a quick'n'dirty heliport (only the helipads, no taxiways), but good enough to fly around the Cape ^_^ . Download here.

My card isn't so great (GTX580, 1.5GB) so I have to keep the AA a bit lower to enjoy some of the other eye candy like HDR. Still cockpit shadows in XPX can be among the best in any sim, even with default Stinsons.

Hi, I just got my product (X-Plane 10 Global) and I tried two times the installation without success. The second time that I tried install I used the installer provide for the "X-Plane website"( http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/x-plane_10_installer-updater/ ) , but I did not have success too. Before I invest in ortho textures for XPX, I'd be interested in the pros and cons from others that have tried them, compared to either the default XPX scenery, or default scenery enhanced by such add-ons as the Urban-MAXX or other products. My Carenado C172 and Bonanza have the same readings and both drive me crazy with rolling when Airborne. Looking thru some of my other AC alot have straight 0s and some have far lower settings. I tried it with and without joystick, but the digits start out the same.

The Antonov AN-2 by Redeyes Design Bureau is an amazing accomplishment as far as X-Plane goes. The fidelity of systems is beyond reproach and they (redeyes) have gone to great lengths to replicate this (the world's largest single engine bi-plane) remarkable aircraft. Just taxiing this beast is an exploit (a unique compressed air system brakes wheels individually using the rudder pedals and a finger brake). Starting the engine requires many steps, just as in the real plane. Engine management in flight is critical, get it wrong and it will malfunction, down you'll go! Hi there, I'm just settling into using X Plane 10 and finding my feet somewhat. I was recommended to check out the Simheaven OSM scenery - it looks really excellent but so far I'm finding issues with autogen placement. As a newbie to X Plane I realise I am probably doing something basic wrong so as a starting point I've attached a few pics which show autogen placed oddly on the underlying textures (just outside EGLL in London) whilst some textures/buildings don't appear at all. I've pasted my scenerypack.ini below which I have ordered as per the instructions. I have also taken out UrbanMaxx to see if it makes a difference too. You'll notice I have Iceland HD mesh…

I was wondering what are the cream of the crop helis for XPX. It's pretty well stated that XPX is a high fidelity helicopter sim and I was having a mess-about with the ND BKK which I have owned for ages, but never flown. I was having a great time, and decided to buy the DrealFoil R-22, which seems great, but has some bug in XPX which means you have to keep deleting your prefs file before using it each time(this is a no-go until it's fixed) So I was wondering what others should I be looking at, I want to land on some of those ubiquitous oil rigs.

The Mesh! Just been taking a quick trip up to the Grand Canyon from Bullfrog Basin and thinking how great AlpilotX's HD mesh is. And then I wonder what it's going to look like in V2 and my brain starts to melt!
