I have bought Peter's A380 and I am enjoying starting to learn "The Airbus Way". The representation of the FBW to this newbie seems excellent. Although not normally a "Magenta line / FMS" fan I thought if I was going to try one then I might as well try "The Mother of All Automatics". My problem is I prefer to fly in 3D cockpit with TrackIr using the excellent PilotView for the necessary close-ups of panels. The panels seem sharp even when zoomed in but unfortunately the PFD / MFD's don't, to the point where it can be quite difficult to interpret the information. I'm using the demo version. One of the first things I noticed is that even with clear weather in the middle of the day it looks very muted. Hard to explain with words. It just seems like I'm flying in an indoor world. Is there a way to make it look really "sunny"?

X-Plane v8 "lasted" 3 years (before the release of v9), while v9 lasted 4 years. But if we compare the release timeline of v9 versus v10, we see that v9.30 was released after 14 months; on the other hand, v10.30 has still to be released, after 24 months. Now, updates for a specific X-Plane version usually run until release x.60-x.70 before the next major version. I'm planning to give Xplane a try this weekend after seeing Froogle's livestream. Could you please recommend me equivalent addons for: ATC: I currently use VoxATCX with voice Weather: I currently use AS2012 with winds aloft Traffic: I use MyTraffic X GSX Equivalent of FTX Global I plan to have a go with Peter's A320 and A380 to see how it compares to Aerosofts.

My only bus in X-Plane 10 is Peter's A380. The A320 version is aboit to get a 3D cabin. There's JarDesigns Airbus Neo, and today I saw that the QPAC's model V2 became payware, and will receive further updates during 2014, including a "Pro" version. Fifficult choice? What would you recommend?

Hi, I'm still new with X-Plane but have been flightsimming for several years before. For X-Plane scenery improvement I downloaded the OSM+Europe and some Photosceneries from Simheaven. When I get a new photoscenery and just run it it is placed on top of the custom scenery.ini-file. Autogen objects like houses and buildings look nice, but don't always match the underlying terrain images. Also trees and forests are placed everywhere. This is NOT the default US-looking set of houses that comes with X-Plane! Hi all, Ok I'm new to X-Plane after many on the MS side of the fence and I am trying to adjust. There are many things I am struggling with as I try to move forward after the death of FS among which are the sight at my local GA airfield of a B52 and a NASA 747 trying to take off, random ATC chatter and strange looking roads. Tonight a major curve ball was setting up a flight at my local airfield (EGKA) with real weather as we are in the middle of a bad storm 80mph winds, heavy rain etc to load up the sim with clear skies and the Northern light's dancing across the skies as I'd think they would appear in the far north. Is it just me that has messed up my X-Plane install…

(Sorry for the multiple posts: happened when AVSIM went backup mode...) I am giving a lot more time to the FF WL 777 now that I am fully concentrated in X-Plane 10. It was good to really start flying it, comparing it to the PMDG offer I was using with FSX was not a bad idea ( I ended up preferring the way this on flies!, and that was one of the reasons for my definite move to X-Plane 10, although I agree that the interface and functionality, instruments options and attention to details in the PMDG are far superior to those of the 777 we have in X-Plane 10) Flying a complex simulation is not what wer're up to every time. Hi, I'm after a really high quality scenery for X-Plane, and was very impressed by the screenshots I've seen of RS Oahu. I am using X-Plane 9 on my MacBook Pro at the moment (it's not powerful enough to run v10 smoothly), and don't have all of the world scenery discs installed (to save HDD space). If I buy and download Oahu, do I need the world scenery region installed for that area? I'm also looking at the new Carenado Caravan in envy - do you think these two would go well together? Thanks!

However after losing my normal NVidia control panel after installing the Game Ready 331.58 driver I decided to give it a whirl, and wow, what a difference. Just leaving most things off and setting Antialising Fix on, Gamma correction on, Line Gamma enabled, antialising to Enhance application dramatically increased the picture quality. Well, new whateverMAXX customer :-) I just installed my first payware scenery / enhancemnet add-on for X-Plane 10 - UrbanMAXX Extreme v2.3. I was using SimHeaven's OSM only Europe scenery, and for my home town I use a ZL17 photo scenery, so I did my furst experiments at the USA and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Then, back to Europe, I disabled the European OSM sceneries and am using plain X-Plane 10.25b1 autogen - WHOW!!!! London at day or night looks great - not exact of course, it's autogn after all and textures - but the overall effectis remarkable! I'm definitelly a fan of MAXX from now on :-)

I liked the improvements and desperately waiting for the skymaxxx addon coming soon. I hate flying XP10 with the visibility/fog bug and skymaxxx will fix this problem.
