Hey, XP10 visibility is really unrealistic when its above 10KM,its almost infinite... I found the visibility LimitPlugin over the .org site but does it work properrly with XSquackBox VATSIM weather? I mean,if its reported 20 miles visibility will this plugin still limit it to lets say 10 miles (acording to the settings of the plugins) And another question,I'm really looking forward for 10.30 espicially that LM stated that its the next major code optimization,i read some where that it may newer OpenGL version,so is this true ?

So, I plan on updating my GPU soon. I have been a Nvidia user for a long time, but the newer Radeon R9 290 crushes a standard 780GTX asking 100 dollars less! So I just might consider going to the red side of the force. My question is for those with AMD Radeon cards. How good, or bad, is X-Plane and AMD Drivers working together? I have the impression it must run fine, since I believe many X-Plane developers use Mac as their main PCs, and most MAC come with AMD cards. Thanks!

Ever since buying and applying UrbanMaxx , and with a great North Bay, Ontario, Canada custom scenery pack from the .org download site, I can't seem to stop flying in this part of Ontario. It is rendered so absolutely beautifully, with SimHeaven's OSM for North America, and there is so MUCH TO SEE and enjoy! For instance, after having taken off from the Trout Lake Water Drome (btw....absolute detail...you can spend 20 minutes just idling off shore and enjoying the depth of the Trout Lake creation, the docks, planes, boats; sail and powered, the taxi in and out buoys that are needed to be followed in real life....shallow shoals, etc..) , if you head out West, with …

X Sim reviews used to be my go to site for the latest XP info and reviews. Since nose diving under new management it isn't. This has nothing to do with criticism of XP valid or otherwise (we already know it's not the greatest piece of software ever designed) but due to infrequent updating, Blogg ranting and poor quality reviews. Forums like this can be useful but do you have a favourite site to keep up to date with latest in XP world?

Does anyone know anything about MortonM's Archer? I have been waiting forever for a release of his modern Archer, as I fly one every once in a while.

Discovered this yesterday with the release of XSB 64bit. Its basically a Vatsim map showing aircraft, controllers etc but also has a fantastic built in chart facility. You can look up whatever charts you need and they will open PDF style on your iPad screen. They are also entirely zoomable as well. Best of all, the price, Free! here's the link https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/vatmap/id641159906?mt=8

The wait is over, and VATSIM users may now fly under 64-bit! This has been a long time coming and we have really been placing pressure on this as we have dropped 32-bit support in our products at X-Aviation. I'm happy to finally see this public and able to be downloaded. Enjoy! http://www.xsquawkbox.net/xsb/2013/11/xsquawkbox-64-bit-windows-and-mac/

Out of the payware aircrafts I fly, Peter's A320 and 380, FlyJsim 727 and Dash 8, the Ramzess T7 is outstanding. I like loading the plane with pax, cargo and fuel, remove the chocks and operate the pushback truck. That all, along with the possibility to listen to the passenger announcements and enjoying nice wing views is the game play, eye and ear candy that I like in a flight sim. But I like the real simming too. Starting cold and dark, preparing everything, flying in manual and automatic mode is fun in that bird. My notebook is able to handle that all with reasonable fps. Very well done! And one more thing. The T7 simulates the feeling of flying a heavy plane perfe…

I've just gone to this link: http://store01.prostores.com/servlet/x-planestore/Detail?no=356 to pay and download the Urban MAXX textures for XPX. When the files are completed downloading (after a successful transaction), I het an application "iLiviid", which looks like a download manager…. I'm not sure if the actual UrbanMAXX files are now downloaded or not (I wouldn't know where to go look for them), and if they are, which of my XPX installs on my PC have been updated, since I was never asked this (there was no installer that I saw). Is this normal? Confused…. Thanks, Bruce.

Hi So I'm currently downloading the JS32 and urbanmaxx V2 (well that foreclose isn't working but we'll get it sorted out) anyway JComm this was helpful Wynthorpe wrote: Go here for OSM scenery, and also lot's of photo scenery (free!!! ) Go here for aditional great scenery stuff ( free!!! ) Go here for even more detailled sceneries and great aircraft ( free!!! ) Go here for a nice NOAA-based weather injector, for upper winds, temps, turbulence. It is not payware, so, don't expect the ultimate perfection ( yet ) ( free!!! ) Go here for some excellent free, and payware stuff that is about to make X-Plane's plausible skies even more plausible in the …

Default X-Plane 10 has so many "easter eggs", and the detail is incredible. For example, the aircraft carrier is very animated, not just a block pushing through the sea. The deck elevator thingy moves up and down and so on. The oil platform has moving cranes and smoke effects. Also, the helicopter is the DMO Sikorsky S-92 that I bought today. INCREDIBLE! I have never felt flight dynamics in FSX like I have today in XP, it's a real piece of work to fly

I already have the B777 from Ramzess, which I like a lot. I'm trying to choose now between these short-hauls. I have the AXE product in FSX, which is very nice, although I hear that the XPX version may be better- I love the screen shots on the developer's web site. I don't have a good B752, so that XPX product is attractive just because I would then have one to fly. Plus it's a thoroughbred aircraft, it would be a Lamborghini if it was a car..... I know this is a question without an answer, as these 2 aircraft are different and come from different times in RL, so I guess I'm asking about the simulation and the eye candy... Any suggestions most welcome, th…

Referencing a post I made in the FSX forum: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/425734-interesting-weather-in-the-us-midwest-tomorrow/ Assuming something like Active Sky or OPUS is available for XPX, I'm not sure..... Thanks, Bruce.

http://www.ixeg.net/blog/item/32-project-status Saturday, 09 November 2013 12:03 PROJECT STATUS We are not dead! Project is still very much alive! The 3D work is nearly complete but some tedious work remains, like the flap mechanisms, transmission boxes, torque tubes, elements of the landing gear and wheel wells also. We would guess the 3D is 95% complete. The cockpit texturing is slow going at the moment though so we are reluctant to do any movie updates until that work is further along and is the major reason for the lack of video updates as we focus on other parts that also need attention. We are filling in small system functionality that required some custo…

Do any of the XPX aircraft have a panel save function that can be saved with a saved flight ( similar to PMDG and Level D ) ? Thanks, Bruce

Can this be done? If so...how? B3 has broken custom airports, has placed water incorrectly, etc. Had no issues of this kind before b3 download and install.

http://www.simflight.com/2013/11/08/psx-aerowinx-747-400-final-works/ i have recently moved to X-Plane 10, for good, and am very happy with my FINAL decision, but Aerowinx PS1 was my best ever airliner sim, for one of my preferred airliners of all times. Now PSX is comming along fast, and will have the possibility to use either FSX or X-Plane visuals!!! WHOW!!! Oh my credit card :-(
