Reloaded the FeelThere ERJ yesterday which doesn't have an auto throttle and it reminded me of an issue that I have with both my Saitek TPM and throttle quadrant. The issue is that at certain points in the travel both seem to create non-linear jumps in engine thrust. This makes holding a consistent speed virtually impossible since even the slightness movement at certain points can cause several tenths of a percent of a jump. I use FSUIPC and have the spike checkbox checked, but it doesn't seem to help. My question is, to other flyers of non-autopilot aircraft such as the ERJ, CRJ, etc. have you found a throttle that doesn't do this? Thanks, Erni…

Hey guys, I contacted the owner of FOXX Mounts and he replied back asking for some pictures of my desk and a couple of questions on Monday. I sent back the requested pictures and information and have yet to hear back to complete the order. Has anyone else had this problem with FOXX? I was hoping to take advantage of the much lower prices than Monstertech for a desk mount for my CH Throttle (I already have a Monstertech mount for my VKB MCG Pro), but alas haven't heard back so I think I may have to warn others not to partake in the business if I don't hear back soon. No sooner had I posted this he finally got back to me, nevermind!

  4. Hello, I have a strange conflict happening between these two items. When the yoke is plugged in, I cannot assign or calibrate the brake axes on the Ruddo pedals. I can use the rudder axis without issues. When I select the Ruddo in the windows USB game controller calibration it displays the yoke’s calibration screen rather than the Ruddo. I did not have this issue using the yoke with my MFG pedals. Both sets of pedals (i think) connect to the sim through a typical USB connection so i’m not sure what the difference is. Any thoughts/advice? thanks Dave

  5. Hello, I have just started to have an issue with the yoke, the hat switch does stops functioning after a while. I thought that a reinstall of the drivers are in order but cannot find them anywhere on any storage drive. I save everything and am beginning to think there never was a driver. If anyone can lend any insight or even send me the drivers I would appreciate it. Please PM me your email address if you have the drivers. Thank you, Robert

Hi guys, thinking of buying this. One question, the lack of buttons worries me. I rarely use the hat switch in X Plane 11 (use X Camera instead). Can I re programme the the four hat switch positions to whatever I like, probably different views. Many thanks.

Hey Guys. In P3DV4, can I fly like normal with my standard joystick/mouse/keyboard setup, but also add an xbox type controller to use for things like moving my view. I would think this could come in handy when autopilot is on and I just want to look around a bit. Thanks.

  9. Hi All, I originally was using a Logitech Wingman Joystick, after a while I began to have steering issues my aircraft kept wandering during taxi even after calibration. when everything showed properly calibrated. I bought a Thrustmaster HOTAS X and had the same issue. They are being kind enough to replace it. I'm wondering if it's an issue with my OS (W10 Pro) or FSX. I've gone back to my Wingman and removed the Thrustmaster drivers. Still the same problem !!! To the best of my knowledge all software and drivers are up to date. Ed Kammerman

If this is the wrong AVSIM Forum for this post, I apologise. I'm thinking of adding TrackIR to my sim setup but, while the 'promotional' reviews are positive, I'd be grateful for some unbiased views from real users. It's quite expensive, but are the gains worth it? Are there any things to watch out for? Andrew

  11. I have searched for a suitable throttle quadrant to replace my Saitek / Logitech units. It is not going well. Most appear to be made of plastic and prices are eye-watering. Reviews are sparse so it's difficult to come to a decision with any degree of confidemce. What I want is a quadrant that can control up to 4 engines with a spoiler axis. No requirement for a flap lever. The best in terms of quality is the VirtualFly TQ6 but that is aimed at twin-engine props and having chatted to the team they have no plans to produce an equivalent for Boeing / Airbus. But the biggest drawback with the TQ6 is the angle of the throttle levers. In real aircraft they are set at …

  12. I'm trying to get my Revolution Sim Products Jetstream working and have emailed every company I can find that are or were related to them and have got zero response. I even found a French company that offers to upgrade the boards to a more universal auto config type of system. Not a single one has answered my enquiries after a few days, which is pretty poor really. Does anyone here have motorised throttles? Do you have any contacts you use for support? At the moment it feels like motorised throttles stopped existing 5 years ago! Cheers Chris

Ok it's not a support issue because I have the Trim up/down binded to buttons and it does work, but does anyone know why for example the POV HAT switch on the Thrustmaster Stick would work on every plane I have except PMDG ? Is the HAT just hard coded to not work with the trim ? Anyone else experience this or know about this.

Hello, I have FSX Deluxe. CH Eclipse Yoke and CH Pedals. I am not very good at it, but I keep trying. My question concerns the CH Eclipse. The question is basic and dumb. The left Hat Switch I use for pan viewing up, down and around, in and outside aircraft, fine. To the; question. Can someone suggest what most, a lot, or some people use the right Hat switch for ? I cannot think of anything in particular. It seems like a waist to have it there and not to use it. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated ? Thank you so much, Wayne

  15. Hello all. I'm working on finishing my sim pit for FSX. I found the GoFlight GF-RP48 push button rotary module, but cannot seem to find a whole lot of info on it. First thing I need to know is if it connects using USB2.0. Second I need to know if it is fairly straight forward mapping it with FSUIPC. Third I need to know if I can use this for knobs in the cockpit like the OBS and Heading Bug and things like that. I hope somebody here owns one and can help me make a more informed decision. I am still pretty new to flight sims and computers, so a descriptive answer is appreciated. Thank you.

  16. Whilst I patiently wait for news on Honeycomb Aeronautical’s throttle quadrant I’m looking at alternatives and came across Throttletek. A fellow enthusiast pointed me to their Learjet unit which on closer inspection looks to be a viable alternative albeit at greater cost. http://throttletek.com/lear-45-g-throttle/ They produce units for several aircraft but I’m looking for a single solution for the (currently) three aircraft I fly. PC-12, Learjet 25 and Concorde. As this unit has only two throttles it should be possible to use FSUIPC to assign the two left engines to throttle 1 and the right pair to throttle 2. For the other aircraft each engine can be assigned …

There are several arcade-style USB joysticks available for XBox/PS2/etc. - will these work with FSX Steam and Win10? Are buttons mappable too? I have limited hand dexterity and can no longer use my Logitech joystick so I am searching for alternatives. I use a joystick on my powerchair by wrapping my hand around the controller and "steering" with the gap between my thumb and index finger. I think the arcade-style may work for me physically. Other alternatives? Thanks!

Hi Everyone I don't know if this is the right forum or not? Looking for some info from anyone using ForeFlight. I saw a youtube video recently of a sim pilot using this app. How do you use it with a sim? Is it worth $99 a year subscription? Do you have a mount for an IPad or use it on your lap? I am flying mostly GA with twins, single engine, occasional flights with Saab 340 and old F-27s; I use the F1 FTN and am not capable with the 430 or G1000 or other GPS - FMS.; and want to stick with the GTN750/650s. Does ForeFlight add anything that the GTN doesn't? Appreciate any replies, suggestions!!

  20. I use the Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel and the BAT switch is dead... it is quite old now. I thought that it cant be that hard to just put a new switch into the panel. But I am unable to identify the right switch to buy. Is there anyone who already replaced one of these? Which one did you buy? My plan is to not only replace the dead switch, I also want to change some of the other switches to get different colours. Nothing fancy with backlight, just more colours. Thank you!

  21. Hello everyone, I currently use Saitek X52 and Saitek throttle quadrant for flying my FsLabs A320. But I bought both of them second hand a few years back when I had still been a student (so no money to buy new ones). Lately I have been noticing that the X52 stick isn't performing well at all... Weird spikes, I am basically unable to perform a smooth landing. It's not responsive at all. Therefore - time to move on I think. The question is, what are my options? I am keeping the throttle quadrant (it's a part of the Saitek Yoke - which is hidden behing my monitor 🙂) because there is almost nothing wrong with it and I like it. I only need new stick (and possibl…

I'm not too sure if this is where i post this question but recently I purchased a yoke and throttle from logitech and it came with programming software. On the throttle quadrant there are buttons at the bottom which i was wondering if i could use those to switch profiles so that i can use one axis for mixture but if i press a button i can then use that same axis for flaps. Thanks!

  25. Hello everyone, When I connect 2 saitek throttle quadrants, I think windows recognizes the 2 as 1 so when i activate reverse in bounces from reverse to idle because reverse axis x on quadrant 1 is on and reverse axis x off on quadrant 2. So I don’t know what to do now. Tested this on 2 computers, same result.
