I finally got around to finishing this off...When I first started to do a video for it in late 2017 It was very positive....Even though an issue right out of the gate. However after some of the last parts that I recorded the hardware failed. The Resolution took a little while and after I was not sure that I wanted to release anything that gave even a slightly positive opinion....Anyway felt I should finish it off. The Short of it -- Thanks Leo Bodnar for replacing the component that the ACE crew stopped replying to me after lying about it being "on the way".....Don't ever give them any money.

I'n Just bought a used RSP Jetstream 737 Throttle and I'm struggling a bit getting it set up. I'm not sure on the version as the labels on the case have no numbers on them. When I look inside though there is no bodnar card but a Jetstream card which registers in windows as TQ737_revsim.This only seems to have the reversers and some of the switches assigned to it which I can assign using fsuipc. Also one motor card is v2.0 and the other is v2.01 both dated 03/2012. I have tried setting up in SIOC using one of the more recent platinum scripts but cant seem to get it to work with the NGX. The trim wheels seem to randomly spin and the speen brake randomly depl…

I've just found a very interesting site if you have access to a 3D printer (which, sadly, I don't at the moment): http://hc625ma.org. If you look under the Simchair MK III menu, you'll find all the details and downloads for printing your own full-sized controls (primarily for helicopters but also for GA aircraft). Most of the controls seem to use hall-effect sensors. He also has details of a stackable throttle quadrant. The physical controls are all under the Peripherals sub-menu. There are some very sophisticated add-ons, particularly for the helicopter controls. He even includes details of all of the electronics (Arduino boards), wiring and software required.

I've looked till my vision went blurry a few times already comparing flight sticks, their features, economy, function ...and I would be grateful for some insight as to the practicality of a 'POV' stick on the flight controller [in xp11] ... as opposed to an 8 position Hat Switch - which I was just about to buy ... when I was presented with this model with a very small POV 'stick' in place of the Hat Switch. I am not sure this works in XP? Can I use this function, this mini joystick, to 'look around' smoothly -just as if right clicked with my mouse? [seems a nice feature if yes 🙂]. I know its a pretty basic question, but, I'd regret buying the stick only to learn…

Hello guys, just purchased this gadget 3 weeks ago as a replacement for an older flightstick that died (RIP). Although the throttle requieres some force to move, the right handle alway moves foreward on it's own. To understand better: I wanted to use the 2 throttles independant from eachother. At normal cruise (e.g. in CLB position on the Airbus), both handles are pushed foreward (center of gravity lies towards the front). In this position the right handle will slowly but continously move towards the front (I presume it's because it's own weight...). If I increase the tension so that it does' nt move anymore, the throttles are so hard to move that I have to…

Hello to you all, I have broached this topic previously but have not been able to sort it out. My problem is that I have disconnected an unserviceable Saitek dinplug connector throttle quadrant which leaves me with just a USB plug Saitek throttle quadrant. This combination (yoke, USB throttle quadrant, trim wheel and rudder pedals work well in all respects, with Xplane 11. It does NOT, however, work with FS2004. I have tried to calibrate it and it calibrates normally (ie the crosses travel normal distances across and up and down the square.) However, when I get into FS2004 and try to use the quadrant for throttles 1 and 2 with the third lever being used for…

Could anyone please suggest a source for a B777 Desktop Yoke? I would like to use this with the PMDG 777. I already purchased one of these from ACE last year, but they took my money, and never delivered the yoke. Are there any other (more reliable and honest!) suppliers of this item? Thanks in advance, Neil McGreevy.

I found some old posts in various flight sim threads discussing GoFlight modules using GoFlight's GF Keys software. It's a 32 bit app that ran under previous Windows versions, but no mention of Windows 10 or 64 bit software. Anyone have any familiarity with the software? Thanks! Bob

Hello all, I think this may be an easy one to solve but I can not find a solution. I have the full Saitek setup ie, yoke with din quadrant, another USB throttle quadrant, trim wheel, and rudder pedals. I have just fixed my rudder pedals (Spring connector) and cleaned the pots in my quadrants. when the din/yoke connected quadrant started playing up. The USB connected quadrant worked just fine after the maintenance but the din connected one just gave up the ghost and I strongly suspect the PC board, which, of course, is irreplaceable (to my knowledge) As a stop gap I re-assigned the USB quad to throttle 1 and 2 with the third lever being assigned to flaps. …

I am running P3Dv4. WIN10. I hope someone can help me with a problem I have with the Saitek Throttle. All my Saitek gear is working ok, Yoke, rudder pedals, Propeller and mixture. I have them all set up using FSUIPC. But, the Pedestal throttle only functions between 50% - 100%, anything below 50% is inoperative. Does anybody know please what I can do to fine tune the pedestal throttle so when it is at zero percent it registers zero and when it is at 100% it registers 100%. Thank you in advance John

Hi all, has anyone had success gluing together a broken throttle lever on a Logitech quadrant? It's snapped off pretty close to the housing, so duct tape isn't an option. No one will tell me how it was broken, so I'm picturing Jeremy Clarkson slamming it forward going "POWERRRRRR"... Tried "LePage super glue liquid pro" which bought be about 4 days. I've seen a few similar posts, and no fantastic results, so i'm seeing if there's some new product available. Only needs to last about a month... Any suggestions? Thanks, Anthony

I recently installed DCS again and bought the F/A-18. My old joystick, a Microsoft Sidewinder which I've had since FS98, might be in need of a replacement. What I miss, is the the ability to program most of the buttons on the joystick. It will make flying the airplane a bit easier if I don't have to use the keyboard for everything. What I was looking at buying, was the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. It has a steep price, but I figured it might be worth it. But then I saw that the joystick does not have separate rudder axis, which my old joystick does have. This means that I also have to buy rudder pedals, which might be a bit to costly for me at this point. I have looke…

Hello all Just got the Ruddo and TQ3 and will be using with Prepar3D - so far, so good. Love them. There are 3 options for setting calibration it would seem - use Prepar3Ds internal tool, use FSUIPC or use V-Flys own driver/configuration tool. I will not be using FSUIPC (and i dont want to contemplate adding this to my already long lis of addon software). So questions are: In anyones experience, is the V-Fly tool a better method than P3D method? It seems i can control deadzones etc. better so this is my preferred approach if it works OK. I think form the manual i have to remove all axis assignments in P3D, then make sure i run V-Fly tool every time. …

Just wanted to pass on a little dealing I had with Logitech. Since they are now the proud owners of Saitek don't go looking for parts. one of my Throttle Quads has a broken Plastic arm....1.2 year old pulled it and it snapped. Anyway they will not sell any parts even down to the entire sub assembly of the arm, pot and casing.....The only option they gave is to buy an entire replacement Quadrant.......80 Dollars for a cheap plastic part is nuts..... Anyway just be aware that going forward unlike in the Saitek days you will not be able to get parts.....they don't do parts.. Happy flying.

I wish to add my CH yoke back into my setup and keep my TM Warthog HOTAS connected, but want it “turned off”. I have my rudder as Joy #0, HOTAS as Joy #1 and my TM Warthog Throttle as Joy #2 in FSUIPC. I want to plug my CH Yoke (and eventually replace it with a higher quality yoke when the choices mature a bit over the next year or so) in when the itch strikes. I wish to unclamp my HOTAS from the desk (Monster clamp), set it in a cushioned “cradle” under the desk and clamp my CH yoke on and use it instead of the HOTAS. I don’t want to unplug any USB ports, but of course I need to have both control devices set up to control aileron and elevator axis, depending on the …

I have used two Saitek throttles with Boeing style handles with flap detent as my throttle in P3d the last two years, but I am not satisfied with this combination. I mostly fly PMDG 737 800. I have problems with setting the flaps detends, and syncronising the throttles. I have assigned the throttles in fsuipc. I have now started to look at other throttles, and I need advice on which throttle to chose as my future throttles. I have looked at Throttletek, Flightsimpm as manual throttles, and Open cockpit and Cockpit for you motorized throttles. I an not sure that I can afford a motorized throttle now, but if that is the only solution to avoid the problems I have to day, I …

My flying is 90% with jets. Currently PMDG737 whilst I wait for FS Labs 64-bit Concorde. I also occasionally fly a Lear 25 and Carenado PC-12. I don’t have a huge hangar of aircraft - just those. Having had Saitek Throttle Quadrants for 12 years - now on my second pair - I’m really looking for something significantly better. Budget is not an issue. Now here is my quandary. The best out there appears to be the VirtualFly TQ6 Plus. Steel construction, hall-effect sensors and a good mounting system that doesn’t take up much desk space. Adjustable friction is also a big asset. All good so far. But here is the issue. The VirtualFly is designed for twin-engine ai…

Hi all, I lately increased the number of flight controls devices that I use, and I would like to avoid plugging - unplugging USB cables, so I want to have them all connected all times. I used to have a PCIe 4-USB card but due to the increased now number of devices and cable restrictions I am thinking to use a single powered 7-port USB 3 HUB. But before I invest on a 30$ powered usb 3 hub, I would like to ask you if there is any known problem with plugging all my flight simulator controllers on a single powered usb hub. Also is there any benefit by using PCIe USB adapters instead? For me the hub solution would look better as I can hide it somewhere, and also wou…

I have got a complete Jeppesen flight training system. Circa 2000. I want to use the controls, Yoke, Rudder Pedals, Radio stack, on a newer USB only Windows 7 pc with FSX. I have the Radio/controls box hooked up to usb through a converter. Same with the throttles and yoke. I've download and installed the FSUIPC4.exe, serial port and the serial test utility. When I load FSX, it recognizes the driver and gives me a status screen. Got a green checkmark on FSUIPC4 with "Okay. All options available". Have a green checkmark next to Com1 open. All controls listed as 'X'. Last clue is I at least have power getting to the radio stack (red led on). I'm pretty sure this …

I have a PFC throttle quadrant but new computer (win 10) has no serial port so I using serial USB adaptor. The adaptor is recognised by windows but not the throttle quadrant itself. PFC wont help. So anyone input will be appreciated, so here are my questions: By using the serial / USB adaptor, should I now consider that the throttle quadrant is a serial or USB hardware for set up purposes? Also any help with drivers to make quadrant work with Prepard 3D Ver 4.4 & X Plane 11

What is your opinion on it? I watch the reviews on youtube but only saw one with P3D. When I bought the warhog i was thinking what are you doing paying 500$ for a Hotas. You crazy? Well I guess I am. 5 months later I love how the warhog handles my Turbine duke in P3D. Please let me know if I should spend the 547$ I set aside to invest in these pedals. https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-TPR-Pedals-Windows-pc/dp/B07DQY8LVC/ref=asc_df_B07DQY8LVC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309892766843&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15928707503384785126&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hv…
