I recently bought the Saitek Instrument and Radio Panel to enhance my FSC experience. Both work basically - basically because I now encounter "freezes" for FSX from time to time ("The application is not responding") which vanishes again after a couple of minutes.I have no idea what could be the reason and I haven't found anything about such problems in the Saitek forums but I noticed that the Saitek software seems to use the FSUIPC interface for communicating with FSX. Does anyone see any possible reason for these freezes in connection with FSUIPC (I'm using the latest 4.53 release) because at the moment I have no idea where to look for the source of the problem. I…

I'm looking to replace my Saitek AV8R with either the T.Flight Hotas or the Saitek X52. I am using Flightsim X and X-Plane 9, and will be trying out Tom Clancy's HAWX soon as well just for fun. Anyone have any input on either, considering, price, quality, functionality, etc.? I can spring for either. The Saitek look like it has more controls and I like the 3 high hat switches, but the Thrustmaster price looks pretty awesome. The X52 is about $85.00 on buy.com http://www.buy.com/prod/saitek-advanced-pc...8/10412072.htmland the T.Flight Hotas X is $32.00http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=...tingid=34083059Thanks.

firstly, this's my first post, so, Hi to you allin real aircrafts, the throttle stick will move by itselv while the auto-throttle function is engaged,i just have an idea to make one, and the first step seems a small success of my lab model (i cannont upload the video to Youtube, cos' our stupid government has blocked it, the video is about 20M, anyone can help me to upload it? )anyway, I think if there's a throttle which can move itself seems cool , anyone interested in it?

Well today I got my early Christmas present of the Saitek AV8R (Aviator) -02 Xbox 360/PC edition. When I set it up everything worked fine with the hat switch, trim toggle switch, rudder twist etc. But the one problem I am having is that fs9 will not recognise either throttle. I have switched between mode 1 and 2 and I am using a registered copy of FSUIPC to calibrate it. I have looked at other threads about the AV8R-02 but I have not found any definite solutionsIf anybody has fixed this issue their help would be much appreciated!

Hi,I just got a Saitek X52 joystick! When i move the stick to the right i hear a knocking noise or click noise is this normal or should I return it?

I am using a Saitek X-52 Pro joystick with Pro pedals. Recently a maid thought it would be easier to dust my desk if she unplugged my USB cables. Needless to say, they have been re-arranged. What is the remedy? My callibration seems normal on the test page, but in FSX my throttle never gets lower than 1% and never higher than 98%.Donald Traill

Does anybody have any suggestions for a throttle quad to be used with a PFC Saab Column Yoke & Cirrus Rudder pedals. My yoke & rudders are to arrive on the 29th of this month and I don't think that the Yoke has any attached throttle with it. I was wandering what others are using and how they connect up to the computer..In the interim, could I still use the throttle on my CH yoke to perform it's duty while using the PFC Yoke at the same time??Regards, jack

This flight control system has two coolie hats on the stick and one coolie hat on the thrust lever. So far I only use one of them to control the views. Is anyone using more than one? For which functions?I didn't find profiles to download. Are there any for FSX?

I now have the CH Flight sim yoke and rudder pedals. I'm thinking about the Saitek yoke since I believe this after researching it and using the CH yoke. The Saitek yoke system would give me a much more realistic flight experience since1) It's a better yoke than the CH and controlling the plane would feel more real2) The throttle quadrant would increase the lrealism to a new level since it's separate and have a wider range of movement and would be placed more realisticFor people who have used both and or real world pilots. Do you think I'm correct in what I believe? Or is it maybe not worth spending money on it if you already got a CH yoke?

If somebody has the PFC Column Yoke could you please give me an update on the pro's and con's of this yoke. I'm thinking about purchasing the column yoke instead of the mount-on type.Regards, jack

Hello everybody,As a recent happy owner of the MCP Combo, I would like to start using it with further aircrafts. So far I have been using it successfully with the LVLD B763 X in 2-way modes and with a mix success with the Wilco PIC737 X and with the FSX default aircraft profile. Some commands do not work with the PIC737 X as they seem to be (the SPD knob does not change the speed, the A/P and Disengage switch do not work, etc.).Having said that I plan to dig soon in the profile creation and may be to update existing profiles. 1/ Do some of you have already updated the Wilco 737 profile?2/ Is there somewhere profiles for the Digital Aviation F100, PMDG JS41, F1 ATR 72-500?…

Hello,I have been using the new LOgitech G940 control system (joystick, pedals and throttle) successfully with all aircrafts in FSX (except the 3-4 engines ones.) However, when using Wilco Airbus series, my throttles have no effect on the aircaft throttles... I have a registered version of fsuipc but I have checked and all is set to 'default' with regards to control so it can't come from it...Could anyone help me...PS : I have also a strange behaviour when using the PMDG747. I assign via FSUIPC for this specific aircrfat throttle 1 to engine 1-2 and throttle 2 to engine 3-4 and at the end throttle 1 controls engine 1-2 BUT throttle 2 controls engine 2-3-4.... Thank s f…

Hello!I'm introducing a new device that's in development. The images shown are well in the process of creating and don't resemble the final product, everything is a subject to change. When designing this, I wanted it to be universal. It will suite any jet with up to 4 engines. Tops of the handles are removable and replaceable which will allow to remove any number of them out of the way and use the remaining ones. Also, for the prop lovers there are going to be replacement handles representing blue and red prop and mixture handles. Spoilers and flaps handles are also present. There will be no fixed positions in them as that will greatly depend on the airplane that you are f…

Hi, captains!I'm using a couple of hardware USB-connected controllers for my FS9.1 sessions.I have: CH yoke, CH pro pedals, CH throttle quadrant and GoFlight GF-46.The problem is my CH pedals keep connecting and disconnecting on their own. The problem has been present for a long time even though I changed both my PC hardware and software.I don't even have to be inside FS (although it does make the problem more frequent). Sometims just being in Windows (idle) I can hear the 'ding-dong' allert of a USB device disconnecting. Some time later 'dong-ding' and its back again. And it is ALWAYS my pedals, not any of the other controllers.I have enough USB ports to have a few spare…

I'm just looking for an affordable yoke with throttle integration. The CH Yoke USB seems to fit my criteria. But I read that people have problems with the control and it not centering? So if I turn right and then take my hands off the controls it will stay right?

Well,I having a problem with my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Throttle SystemYoke was working fine, until the AM. Started up my system, yoke display/led initially lit up but yoke system was unresponsive in the sim, tried calibrating it no luck.Unplugged it, restarted my computer and then it was dead, nothing nada...Double checked it with multiple USB ports and then checked those ports with other devices to make sure they were working properly and they were. Now the yoke and throttle are completely dead. When I plug it in, the green led on the throttle will flicker just momentarily as I seat the USB plug into the USB port then it goes dark. My yoke is only 3 to 4 months old, wa…

Hello,I'm planning to buy a Garmin 296 GPS for my real world flying but I'd like to also have it set up to work with flightsim so I can learn the unit inside out on the ground instead of when I should be watching for traffic.Anyways I've seen several people mention they can get their Garmin 296 to work with GPSOut, but almost all use the serial cable connection to do it. I've also seen others mention they can get it to work via the USB cable hookup.I'd much rather use the USB cable as A ) the GPS can use external power when on USB unlike with Serial, I'd rather not use up battery cycles on flightsim and B ) my computer doesn't have a serial port, and between the proprieta…

Hi All,For some reason my throttle quadrant calibrates fine in windows and in the CH Control Manager but when I go into FS9 and load my plane - twin engine Navajo Panther - the throttle levers advance at different rates, the prop controls are also out of whack and only one mixture works. It was working fine before but suddenly screwed up.I have uninstalled and reinstalled both controllers and made sure all the assignments are correct. I'm also using Peter D's FSUIPC and some of the readings show different numbers in the 'reset' sections and this is with both levers advanced to full. Please see pics.Im at a loss and could really use some help. Thanks in advance.Adam
