As ClutchCargo noted in another thread, this thing does work surprisingly well with Kroga's patchware. A couple of really annoying things remain which keep me from recommending, though, and I was wondering if anyone else has found any fixes or workarounds.1) It seems whenever I press a switch on OR off, it activates the engine autostart procedure very quickly which wreaks havoc on my FDC Flight Deck checklists.2)The engines all start at the same time (like on a two or four engine aircraft). Clutch, you said you had sent an email to Kroza -- did he ever write back? He has yet to answer my email and he says in the readme that he's only going to offer minimal support -- b…

Greetings, all. I am finally considering purchasing a yoke, throttle, and pedal package and would like some of your thoughts. I have been reading a bit here and there, and CH and Saitek both seem to have quite a few positive remarks about their products. I am leaning towards the Saitek, only because it seems to have a less "plastic" appearance in pics. The Saitek throttle also looks nice, however I don't like the way the Saitek pedals look. If the Star Trek Enterprise had rudders, those pedals would command them. :( And you might think this is silly, but my main concern is how these mount on a desk. I have not been able to see any clear pics about how these are se…

Hey everyone,I've been using the Saitek X45 sidestick + throttle for a few years now. I've had no reason to upgrade it since it does the job and feels great. I certainly will be getting the Saitek Flight Yoke soon, just not yet ;)I don't have rudder pedals and use 'rudder' on the back of the Saitek X45 throttle... Seems to work fine.I'm looking at purchasing the Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant as it looks great and I just like it a lot! ;) Thinking of configuring it to be my speed brake + flaps on heavy metal and to be the throttle, mixture, trim on light aircraft (bypassing my X45 throttle)They should all work together without issues, yes?I would get rid of the Saite…

I got a wild hair with $92 sitting around and decided to get the new Saitek ProFlight Switch Panel for my FS2004 experience. Yes, I was able to find one, new, for $85 and change (Typically in the $100 range) plus $7 S&H, so I leaped on it. It arrived today and I got to work setting it up between my yoke and throttle quadrant. I just finished making a seat platform for my PC and the FS experience, making it out of plywood and a Nissan Pulsar bucket seat, but I digress. Anyway...What came out of the box was straightforward: The panel, a driver CD-ROM, a manual and a mounting bracket which can screw onto the top of the yoke if so desired. I mounted mine under the desk wi…

I own a Samsung Syncmaster 931BF 19" monitor. I'm happy with it.Always wanted another monitor next to it which would display extra sub panels that would clutter the main screen if expanded. For example, I would put the FMC, GPS and maybe weather radar on the second screen.I thought I'd get a smaller 15" monitor as my desktop is not big. But these have disappeared from the market apparently. So would a portable dvd player with a 7" screen be an option at all? I can get them pretty cheap, like 75$They come with a usb cable. Is it possibe to rig them up as a second monitor?Eytan Ornstein

I want to buy a GF Airliner Configuration. It is very difficult to find a good review of the whole system (I have seen few reviews of specific modules). Anybody using this? I know the planes which it will not work (lots of posts here at AVSIM), I have seen some YouTube videos but this is not enough. And another question - where can I buy it little cheaper? This should be shipped to Poland, Europe. I have seen it somewhere at about 2.500$.

I was just about to order the Saitek yoke to replace my aging CH yoke that is now beyond repair, but just before doing so I checked out a review that said the Saitek yoke has a center detent. I'm curious what users think about the detent and if it takes away from what authenticity exists in a PC yoke.

Hi there...I've had the Go Flight's MCP Pro for a while but still I can't make it work with PMDG's B737NG. I need to know from other users if the B737NG from Ariane's might work. I know that for the PMDG's case in order to have it working there was a module but it got discontinued and is no longer available to buy. If the Ariane's B737NG does not work...well, there's Cpflight's MCP to buy....comments anyone??? thanks

Greetings all.I just recently upgraded my FSX box (to the system in my sig) and am just waiting for my copy of Vista64 to get here. While waiting for my OS to get here, I've found myself browsing throttle quadrants and am considering purchasing one (or more) for mostly GA twin-engine aircraft (I spend lots of time in the Aerosoft Twotter). I'm using a CH flight yoke and pedals and also have a Saitek X36 that I've been using mainly for the throttle and a few button assignments. After doing some 'virtual' window shopping, I can't decide between the 6 lever CH quadrant or two of the Saitek 3 lever quadrants. On Amazon, I can get the two Saitek's for less than the price of th…

While trying to setup my new Go Flight Hardware I messed up my Saitek Hatswitch panning and/or views and I can NOT figgure out how to fix it. Too many view values controled by one switch. I know ( or think) that when you assign a certain view to the hatswitch that it must put a "value" somewhere? Airfile, Main FS2004 file etc??? I was flying with three monitors but with the messed up hatswitch I can NOT get the views to line up correctly. I've tried for three days to fix it and I cannt ! Would someone PLEASE tell me how to resetup my hatswitch views on my Saitek Yoke for FS2004? Thanks jerrycwo4

Greetings all.Earlier today I decided to take the plunge and purchase Vista Home Premium 64 (SP1) for my new FSX box. I ordered it from Newegg, and it shipped today, so while I'm waiting for that (and an RMA'd video card) to return, I figured I'd grab the latest Vista64 drivers for my hardware. I've had no problem locating drivers for everything I need, with one exception. My Saitek X36 does not have a driver or software listing under Vista64. I was under the impression that the X36 and the X45 were basically the same stick, with only cosmetic differences separating them, and that (at least under XP) they used the same driver. Now while there's no driver or software listed…

I have had a Saitek Cyborg Evo Force Joystick for about 9 months and it has never worked correctly. I have FS2004 and use Windows XP Professional Edition. When I load FS9 having chosen any particular aircraft, as soon as I apply throttle the aircraft will veer to the right and its extremely difficult to get it back on track. I have noticed when looking at the properties the throttle section on the screen box shows a red bar which suggests that the rudder is already being twisted to the right (not all the way but enough to cause the aircraft to veer). Nothing I do will alter it - including adjusting the null zones. Any ideas? :(

Evening everybody,Maybe it's just me, looking in the wrong places, but I can't seem to find a copy of DirectX10.I have looked around on the website of microsoft and the latest DX I find is DirectX 9c fromnovember 2008....Can someone point me in the right direction?Luc BrusselmansBelgium

  18. Apologies for raising another question that I know has been asked and answered before. But this is less a "how to?" than a "what's best?"I'd like to be able to use both a yoke-and-quadrant (Saitek Pro Flight) and a joystick and throttle (Saitex X52) - the yoke for most a/c, and the joystick for stick a/c (Cub, Citabria, Spitfire) and maybe, if I get brave, helicopters.Am I better off:1. Hooking them all up and using multiple fsx.cfg's to drive them?2. Hooking them all up and creating aircraft-specific setups in FSUIPC?3. Swapping them on and off the USB port as I need them? How do you handle this? What's best, what's easiest, what's recommended? Thanks in advance.Alan

I have Saitek's X52Pro, Yoke and Rudder Pedals. I am unable to get them all together work in SD6 programing framework. If I pick some old drivers, I see all three devices and can program them, but the MFD is unoperational or I have no clock on it...The newest one from Saitek's WWW doesn't work - I cannot see Yoke at all, and manually editing my profile is a waste of timeDoes anybody have the correct list of drivers to them three + SST programing suite which will cover it all?I had it done in Vista32bit, now I will flight on Windows 7 RC 64bit - but this saitek's controller is a blocker

  20. GentlemenLast night, whilst trying to take off in the Cessna 172, I lost directional control. In other words my rudder pedals ceased to function. Further investigation revealed the fact that the aircraft rudder was moving rapidly back and forth and that my CH rudder pedals were having no effect whatsoever. After some fiddling around I discovered that by disconnecting / reconnecting the Thrustmaster Hotas system the rudder returned to normal. Tonight I've switched on and at the moment everything seems to seems to be OK. This is the second time this has happened and I was wondering if anybody else has had the problem or has got any idea on possible cause. RgdsSteve H

Flying is smooth and framerate is in the medium 30.However, my problems began when I installed my controllers.First the ELITE rudderpedals. I have the drivers but it seems they will not work in a 64bit OS.If anybody could help me with them, I would appreciate it. However, I still have my old CH-products usb-pedals andthey work like a charm richgt out of the box (YES, I still have the boxes). My main problem is the flightyoke. My joystick died last night and I'm thinking about getting the whole Saitek Pro Flight setup, but I have an issue in that my desk has a keyboard & mouse tray right in front of my chair. Seems like that would prevent the yoke from attaching via the clamp. Is that clamp removable and does anyone know if it would work to attach it say with velcro strips to the top of the desk above the keyboard tray or something to that effect? Thanks!Ryan

I had a local build my FSX computer. The hard drives at times take awhile to spin up and go active, especially the primary HD with FSX. I'm unsure whether that's normal and important, or not. All the HD's are WD and the primary is a WD Velociraptor about 2 months old. Thanks in advance for any answers.i7 940asus p6Tgtx 280the appropriate memory
