I have an issue that suddenly happened upon my moving, and re-assembling my computer that I use for FSI have Vista 64-bit, and now it does not recognize any of my USB joysticks, CH yoke & pedals. When I plug them in, I get no "sound" that they are connecting. They don't show up under game controllers under device manager either. When I plug a USB HDD into the port, it gets recognized by Vista.I've gone the route of a "repair/upgrade" install in Vista, and still no joy! I have the most updated drivers for my motherboard/sound card/ethernet/video etc. I even went and bought a basic joystick to see if it was the controllers themselves. The new joystick did not work…

Hi everyone,Just reinstalled the PSS 777 and it seems to have made my joystick ineffective, though all the buttons work apart from the axis' for the flight controls, and the throttle. things like the POV hat, trim button etc work fine.I've tried generating a new fresh fs9.cfg, but nothing. It's configured properly in the Windows Control Panel, any ideas?Henry :)

Hi,I am about to pick up a new computer for FSX (ASUS 920, i7, Vista 64) and I have some questions about throttles and yokes. First, my old PFC throttle quadrant uses a serial port, which means it won't work with the new computer. It seems like lots of people are using the Saitek throttles. I'm concerned that something I read talked about the throttles using a serial port to connect to the Saitek yoke for power. The new computer has no serial port.First issues: Can I connect the throttles to the computer directly without using the Saitek yoke? Can I connect the Saitek throttles using only USB without any need for a serial port? Can I connect 2 quadrants to the comp…

My new PC is Windows Vista 64bit I am totally unfamiliar with the Vista platform. I went into the SoundBlaster properties I could not find anything about the mic except under the master volume panel the mic area had a red

Saw some interest when announced, wondering if anyone has tried one. I think my Saitek X45 is bad, and was thinking about an X52, but while quite a bit more expensive, maybe the G940 is a better overall unit. Also interested in the profile software.scott s..

I am looking for some help with this issue I have a new HP PC that came with a Soundblaster X-FI I have a Saitek Pro Flight Head set. I installed FS2004 w/ SP1 I have finished installing Squawk Box I am trying to calibrate my mic on the headset and so far I am having no luck in getting it to work. The only setting I see for my mic is to turn it on but then the mic is live all of the time and the SB calibration test is not picking up any of my spoken commands if someone with the SB X-FI sound card could help that would be great.ThanksJohn

I have the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke system (Yoke+Throttle Quadrant) with an additional throttle quadrant which gives me six levers in total. I usually fly twin engine turbo props so this is perfect for me. I have owned this system for a few months now and once I got it all configured and tuned with FSUIPC they have worked fine but starting from today the two middle levers (prop pitch) are acting very strange: The VC prop pitch levers sit the max position regardless of the physical lever positions. When I start moving the Saitek prop pitch levers the VC equivalent moves also but flickers between my physical lever's input and max. When I stop moving the Saitek prop pitch the …

If the plane uses a yoke, I like to use my Satiek Pro Yoke with throttle and switch panel. If the plane has a stick I use my MS FFBII. I have all of the buttons and switches assigned in FSX to use my yoke. When I unplug the yoke and plug in the joystick, do I lose all those settings? When I plug the yoke back in, will all my yoke buttons be switched back to default? If I use the Satiek software, can I assign the yoke buttons/switches to the FSX keyboard commands, and it will remember as long as I load that profile before I start FSX? Will the same work with the FFB2 setup program? I've always just used the controller setup in FSX. I would prefer that as I'm from t…

Hey Guys and Gals, I am a design engineer for a prominent sporting goods manufacturer.I have also gotten hooked on these crazy flight sims. With the help of some pilot friends of mine, I am in the process of designing a prototype controller consisting of a column style yoke, rudder with toe brakes, and reverse thrust equipped throttle.I started with this design criteria in mind. Rugged aluminum construction, generic, affordable, realistic feeling controls, with upgradability and expandability options. More buttons, switches, trims, force feedback, throttle quadrants, autopilot, etc can be future options.I think I would be able to tool up and offer the base controls for ar…

Hi guys, i just another 24 inch monitor and a dual head unit. I am wondering if there is any tips for setting up and using to its best advantage?I have noticed that the text on screen on both monitors is now slightly blurred for example, just enough to annoy you. Do you need to use any special settings to avoid this? I am using 1920 x 1200 on both monitors. My FPS also seems to have halved, but i guess this is to be expected, yes? All tips gratefully received!!After initial usage, I feel that perhaps I have made a mistake and brought the wrong unit. I am feeling I should have got the triple head unit, so I could use bezel management, which does not come with the dual unit,…

I moved my USB connection and now my aileron axis is wacked out...In the Control Panel calibration the axis is offset to the right and deflects as if it were filtered and doesn't move in a direct fashion. When you deflect it from one extreme to the other it moves about 1/3 of the way as it should and then slowly moves the rest of the way.Anyone ever seen anything like this? All other axis work fine with no issues although the two outer most levers appear to have reversed their functions.

My Thrustmaster HOTAS was stolen out of my truck (at least the dummys left the T-Rex 500 and transmitter, thank you alarm) I am now looking for a replacement. Price isn't that much of a problem (within reason). Should I just replace the Thrustmaster or is there soemthing better (already have yoke). What do you think is the best joystick available for FS and flying in other games?

hi, I am having problems using remotly my FIP (Saitek Pro Flight Range, Flight Instrument Panel). I like the goody and did some beskope gauge that you can find on their official site, but even with their help I dont seem to find a way to remotly connect from a laptop PC. Direct connection works fine but the FPS hit is too much for me. I think I know how to do it because I have FSMap happily running using SimConnect on my Laptop. Do someone has any suggestion, I must be missing something obvious. http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...p;#entry1620884

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Saitek Cyborg Evo If you had to choose from these two, which would you choose? I've narrowed the list down to these two. I tried the T-Flight HOTAS, but I didn't like how Huge it was and the fact that there was No programming software. I am leery of the Logitech because of all the bad reviews, but fot $13.00@ I could buy 3 of them for the same price of a Saitek and store two of them till needed. I don't like the way the throttle is on the Saitek, but it's got a lot of button options and the majority of the reviews are good.

I've sold a car and plan to use some of the $ to buy a new PC suitable for FSX (under the watchful eye of my wife, of course). I can't use all the money. She wouldn't be pleased.I see some very high-powered hardware being used by you experienced simmers. What is a reasonable price range to expect for adequate equipment? Should I be looking to build my own watercooled system with overclocked components and a robust power supply instead of buying something from mainstream (Gateway, Dell, HP, etc)? In general, what are the minimums (speed, brand, and capacity) for motherboard, processor, RAM, graphics card, and anything else I might need, and what combinations of components …

Hi, I was looking for a discussion forum for my Saitek controller. I went to the Saitek.com website but found only forums for Announcements, Common Fixes, Active Users, Statistics, and Birthdays(!)I thought by registering I would find more, but registering brought a message telling me my email address was 'banned' and to contact the administrator. My email to the administrator at [email protected] was returned as undeliverable. The contact page at the Saitek website said I could contact them at [email protected], but my email was also returned as undeliverable. Strange, because the website looks alive and well and certainly up to date.I found a UK Saitek contact phone numbe…
