Flight sim: FSX GoldSystem: Windows Vista 64 bitI bought the Pro Flight Yoke and throttle and all was well for a few months until yesterday when the throttles suddenly stopped working. The green power light is on steady but none of the levers or buttons are working anymore. The control panel shows the yoke itself to be working fine but nothing (z axis, x and y rotation or any buttons) from the throttle. The plug seems connected ok and I reinstalled the drivers downloaded from the website.Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,I was considering buying the Saitek Pro Flight Multi Panel and Radio Panel, but I saw bits of information on these forums that they don't work with add-on aircraft (only the stock FSX aircraft)? Is that correct? I have some PMDG and Captain Sim aircraft that I was hoping these would interface with.thanks!

hiI want to replace the power cord that i misplaced for my sidewinder force feedback 2 joystick. I understand it uses (in the right size) a standard to conductor type. Does anyone know on here where I might be able to pick a cable up that would work correctly?

Just got my VR m-panel tonight from FS pilotshop. Aside from the fact the box had been previously been opened then setting it up numerous times it never lit up and it shuts down the power to my entire USB bus the minute I plug it in, all my other USB controllers shut down, no power to them and they are no longer seen by my computer, reboot and all is restored but the m-panel. Im really ticked ,sad and bummed. I sent an email to get an RMA hopefully I will hear from them ASAP. Anyone have experience/opinions on this product and especially this vendor? I not sure if I request a refund and buy elsewhere or maybe not at all. Dang it all my PFC mooney yoke gets here friday and…

I've tried contacting GoFlight, but so far they haven't been able to find a wiring diagram and could only provide me with instructions on how to figure out which wire does what for myself...I had to replace the potentiometers for my toebrakes, and in the process of doing the right toebrake, I severely screwed up and lost track of which wire went on which prong on the potentiometer. (I thought I could remember it and cut all 3 wires off the old potentiometer at once, then got interrupted and forgot it...)If anyone in here has the GF-RC rudder controls, would you be able to get a view of the right toebrake potentiometer and report the order of the wires? They should be bl…

I have a PFC throttle quadrant that uses a serial port. When my previous computer died I bought an ASUS 920 i7 computer from Best Buy that has Vista 64. Naturally, it does not come with a serial port. I am about to do a free upgrade to Windows 7 64 and I would like to have them also install a serial port so that I can use my throttle quadrant. It's much better than the plastic stuff.Does anyone know of a PCI serial port card that will work with Windows 7 64 bit? I've tried looking, but I don't know enough about what I'm doing to make much sense of what I've found. I did get the sense that it's hard to find serial ports that work with Vista 64, let alone Win 7. That…

I had a look at one of the new PC systems in a local store with an integrated 23" touchscreen monitor. It seemed to work quite well in Windows 7 although the PC itself wouldn't be powerful enough for FSX. I had a look on the internet and found that a couple of large manufacturers are selling standalone 23" 1920 x 1080 touchscreens. I was wondering how well these might work in FSX or any flightsim with a clickable cockpit. I think it would be quite effective with TrackIR, operating the VC by physically touching the switches on the screen. Has anyone tried this or seen it working? I know you can get small touchscreens and move the FMC etc onto them but these large touchscre…

G'day all, I'm having a problem with my Saitek ProFlight Rudder kit and thought I'd post here to try and find a solution. I have also sent an email to Saitek support for their input. I've just discovered that my (MS wireless USB) mouse behaves very erratically or becomes highly unresponsive whenever I plug in the rudder. However, if I push and hold any of the levers (axis or brakes) the mouse regains it's smooth motion. Let go and it's all erratic again."Bizarre" is an understatement here - I would have thought that a problem like this would occur the other way around.I have tried different USB ports without change and, of course, I have been using the latest 6…

TrackIR 5 has been released! All new hardware (greater VOF, higher resolution) and all new software, which is also compatible with the TIR 4! (And the TIR 3 in the near future.) Did anybody already try the new software? Does it work? Is it different? Is only the software different or did something improve (for as far there is anything to improve... :( )?P.S. For everyone who has been thinking about getting the TrackIR but was put off by the price: they still sell version 4, and now for a lot less!P.S. The TrackClip Pro hasn't been updated or anything, so anyone who wants to replace his current TIR 4 doesn't have to buy a new Clip or anything.

So, I probably can't go wrong with either yoke, and they're about the same price. I know people have had issues with both, and others have loved both, so I guess I'm wondering if anyone has very strong feelings, or has a sense of the pros and cons of each.thx!edit: I'm on Win 7 x64 with GEX, UTX, REX, and a few CS planes, if that's important.

I just recently got the Saitek Pro Switch Panel (PZ55)... The problem I am having is the engine start knob... it will spool up the engines, but they just continue to spool... and never kick on (I only fly commercial jets). I have read through several forum threads on various websites...and found a few other people with the same problem, but no solutions were posted.Does anyone know of a solution to this?I have updated the Saitek drivers. My OS is XP.Thanks,ED

I recently received a couple fantastic Christmas gifts and wanted to know if anybody has the inside skinny on what control assignments, sensitivities, and other fine tuning tips they could share to get my PFC Column Yoke & Jetliner rudders up and running so they replicate as much as possible the inputs & sensitivities of the real 737NG.....If anybody has that kind of experience, I'd appreciate it if you would share some of it with me.Regards, jack noulet

To cut a very frustrating evenings work short, my trusty Logitech Freedom 2.4 finally died after years of good service, so I bought myself an early Xmas present of an Saitek AV8R 02 which arrived today. The place I bought it (Amazon) suggested it was PC compatible. However it looks as though I should have taken more notice of the "XBOX 360" words on the spec.Trying to set it up in FSX is a nightmare. It shows up in Vista 64 as a XBox 360 controllerNone of the Saitek profiling software has any effect on it that I can tellThe manual is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. So the question is, should I just return it to Amazon and get a AV8R 01 or an equivalent Logitech?I w…

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------I also posted this in Saitek Forums:Hope someone can help:I purchased my Pro Flight Yoke System about two yrs ago. Operated it under Windows XP PRO 32bit okey. Everything performed smoothly. About 3 weeks ago I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 64bit and added more Ram 6Gigs. The first Flt with FSX was OK. However the second time when I plugged in my Pro Flight Yoke Sys to my USB ports on top of my computer, immediately the screen goes black. The cpu was still running. I tried clicking around, nothing. I tried Ctl-Alt-del, nothing. I then shut the computer down and rebooted. After rebooting I …

The panels occasionally stop working, meaning they freeze, during FSX operation. And with some aircraft they seem to be more sensitive when dialing in data. Download of latest drivers did not help. Both panels are plugged into a powered 2.0 USB hub. System is I7 950 3.06 with 6 G Ram Windows Vista 64. Appreciate comments, recommendation. Thanks!ervski/erv
