I find the TRack IR 5 to be interesting but there are a practical detail I wan't clarified. I understand that you are going to need to wear a refelctive clip on your head. One way to do this is by attaching it to headset or a hat brim. What if I have no headset or hat(don't want to have one)?Is something else included in the product that can be used to wear the track clip. Will I have to buy something extra that is not included in the product? Also I wonder is it not tricky or annoying to have this item on your head?

I just purchased the Saitek Pro yoke & Throttle system. When I boot the computer it works ok. I start FS2004, start flying and about 15 seconds later both the yoke and throttle stop working. The power lights and clock are still on. Anyone have any ideas or have had this same problem and were able to fix this?I've tried the system on a friends computer and it works perfect. I don't have any idea what to do to fix this. Please help. Thanks,Gerry

Hello everyone,I'm currently flying on Flight simulator X with keyboard. and actually I've put white stickers on my another keyboard to customize. as in real world I'm learning on Cessna 150, so i need some suggestion on how to customize my keyboard? and I'm gonna buy another keyboard (USB) one so i can use actually 2 keyboards and mouse.. ( i know yoke and rudder are far too better for practice) In this topic all my concern is to make basic layout for keyboard for everyone, by which they can perform all sort of functions effectively without any problem. I've got one pdf file from AVSIM library where there is 3 different layout for keyboard, but i need some advise from ex…

is there any way to replace the pots on a joystick with optical encoders? how does the signal from the encoders get fed into winxp, and how do these encoders show up as multi axis joystick on winxp. Is there a controller on the market that does that, and can you use a regular A/D converter for this?

Hi,I've been using my CH Yoke (and I also have the CH pedals) for many years now and never had a problem and now all of a sudden some of the keys I've mapped to my yoke are not passed on to FSX anymore. One of these are the 'g' character to lower/raise the gear. When I press the button on my CH yoke mapped to this character nothing happens. If I press the 'G' key manually on the keyboard it works just fine BUT...if I for instance open up Notepad and then press the button on my CH yoke I will get a new 'G' for every keypress so...for some reason my CH yoke won't pass keys to FSX but just fine to other programs or maybe it's FSX that for some reason won't accept key presses…

Greetings to all virtual colleagues!does anybody has the issue that the display of the Saitek Yoke stops working? The time is displayed but it stopped, also you can switch to the stop watch but you cannot engage it?I am using FSX running on Win7 64bit. P.S. and it still changes views with phantom key presses - on the 3rd replacement!Kurt

Greetings Folks,I have the Saitek Yoke and keyboard throttle...er..I mean...the throttle addon. I have a dual boot system that I use for FS9 and FSX. They're on seperate drives and I use the BIOS to select the sim I want to use.On the FS9 install I'm using WinXP x86 and FS9 with the latest Saitek drivers from their web site. For some reason the Mixture control (Y Rotation) will not work in FS9. When I run the control panel the mixture registers just fine. FSUIPC doesn't register it either. When I boot into my Win7 x64 for FSX, the mixture works as expected. The only difference is that the WinXP has the drivers installed while the Win7 does not. But I'm hoping this isn't t…

Fellow simmers and users of the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke system, I am all ears for your enlightenment. What is the deal with the modes on the yoke? When I read about them, I had an idea as to what they might be and now they I have purchased the unit, I'm baffled. Here is what I was hoping it would turn out to be. I want to be able to have Mode 1 as my propellered aircraft configuration. Mode 2 would be for a jet configuration. Mode 3 would be for glider configuration. So Mode 1 would not really need to be configured any differently than default when it comes to the throttle quadrant (throttle, prop pitch, and mixture). Can I set up mode 2 to be thrust, then spoiler, then fl…

I recently upgraded to Win 7 64 bit and cannot seem to get the thrust reverser to work. I double checked that I had them in the GF software, they appear to work ok in the calibration of win 7 and they are not in FSX. Any hints would be appreciated.

Hi Guys, I have started again the FSX Business after I was away for some years. Now I have a problem with my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. The front wheel of the Airplane in the game cant be handled correct. despite of what aircraft i choose, the wheel shows to the right. And of course the plain goes right. If I try to calibrate it I can turn the stick to the right down to 0% but to the left only down to 22%. I tried USB in the back of the PC as well as the one on the front. The curious thing is, that I had the same problem a couple off years ago on another PC with a Microsoft Force feed Back as well. So could it be a mechanical problem? And can it be solved in some matter? Th…

Hi,I was just wondering, before I buy the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, if it would work well and clamp tightly onto my desk. Can you please look at the pictures below so that I can be sure I won't have any problems once I get the yoke? Thanks!Images and post will be up for 5 days.

Hi all,I have a saitek yoke and pedals. When I press forward on both or either one (differential) I get brakes (red square in lower left screen),but when I release the pedals, the brakes won't release.Only way to get them to release is to set the parking brake (Ctl + period) and then press the period to release. When I press the pedalsagain, their locked again.Any suggestions? Please.John

Hi guys,Birthday coming soon and time to upgrade game controller.I have my eye on the x 52 pro hotas.Read the usual range of user reviews, from go get it now to piece of junk. You know the story...I'd like some concrete answers from experienced x52 pro users. It's expensive so I don't want to buy something I'll regret later.Of course no game controller is perfect but I need some specific feedback.1. There's a mouse substitute on the throttle. Doess this feature actually work well? I've heard that it disables the real mouse as long as the x52 pro is plugged into the usb port.2. Is the construction sturdy so that buttons and pov's don't start falling off?3. What about the M…

Hi guys!I am Vladimir from Serbia, former Yugoslavia. I am a big fan of MS FS2004 and MSX.I find that many people who are playing FS are only concerned about how simulation LOOKS. I must admit, it is a very important how things look on the monitor and that adds a loot of realism to the complete experience of virtual flight on a PC.but, IMHO, very little attention is given to the yokes (or joystickes) and their ability to REALISTICALLY control aircraft. Many types of "budget" yokes or joysticks are four to eight bit digital devices. When you move your yoke or joystick along an elevator axis or any other aircraft control surface axis, and watch a respond on a actual aircr…

Good day allI wonder if any of you could guide to the right path, I had a problem with my go flight mcppro unit, and another one was shipped out to me, by Go-flight due to this the new unit needs to be activated with the driver software, the problem is how do I go about this?as it will have a different serial code, from the orignal one PMDG are very poor in their support, saying they they had issues with the developer of the drivers and his has now parted with the company. So all of us that have replaced units, can't get the driver working for the PMDG 737 in FS9.Hopfully I can get it working again, and you great Chaps/ Lases here can point out where I can get the stuff,…

Hi.I have a CH pedal set. They used to work and now give spurious signals for the brakes.Even using FSUIPC, I can't stop the brakes going on/off while taxiing. Can someone help me get to the mechanisum where the pedal conects to the pot to change the voltage?I tried un-screwing the 8 screws on the foot pedal but that got nowhere.Anyone?

Hi allHas anyone had to replace their G940 throttle with a new one? The known calibration issues seem to continue for me despite following the numerous reintalls, registry cleanouts, calibration sequences etc. Not only is the throttle only providing 70-80% of the power range, but I'm also seeing spiking at about the 30% power mark. I can also feel an indent in the movement (and hear a click) at about the 30% mark and at this point the throttle spikes.Anyone else had this?I received my unit today after MUCH anticipation - and what was going to be a great weekend of simming in my Lotus Simulations Albatros at low level, has just turned out to be my worst simming night…

This is not entirely an FS problem, but manifests itself with FS hardware, so I hope it'll be okay to post it here. Besides, I'm pretty sure some people here know the answer to it.I just replaced the motherboard in my PC, and kept all of my old stuff. The "old stuff" means the power supply, CPU, memory, hard disks, etc., and I got lucky -- since the new MB uses the same Nvidia chipset as before, Win XP came up happy and did not require a reinstall -- it came up pretty much as though nothing had been touched. I did just recall that the video card was changed out at the same time. Used to be an Nvidia 7300 and is now a 9800GT with 2 monitors. At one time that same 98…

Hey everyone,As the topic says, I'm looking for "generic" USB potentiometers / switches that require a minimal amount of effort to use. I want to make some custom input devices but am not sure where to start.I imagine that there may be some programming that needs to be done - not sure. Thanks,Andrew

Got a wee problemo guys,Ordered in my new joystick, it's a "Logic 3 Pro Flight 2". So set everything and calibration as well. Jumped in FS9 to try it out and found out that all my aircraft make a slow bank to the left. I tried to re-calibrate my joystick but nothing helped. This only started happening since I got this joystick.Everything in my payload and fuel is balanced. On the calibration page, everything is central.Anyone got a solution?Stephen
